I’m so glad someone pointed it out because I was just gonna do the same…absolutely some of the best chemistry between two actors that I’ve ever seen. Their fights are so believable. Hats off to the directors as well.

That first scene with Carmine is one of my favorites. He didn't object to what Tony asked of Johnny. Johnny turns to Carmine, expecting him to object to Tony's proposal. Followed by the "again with the money" argument. Carmine was pretty cool.

He knew end of the day it was all about money. Keeping it coming in and the cops out of all their hair. And if John didn't want to give up his source in Jersey that was on his head. If he had given up Paulie he'd be out his informer, jersey would hand him ralph and Carmine would have John's balls on a platter for making moves like that behind his back without his approval
That fight between Tony and Carm at the end was brutal. One of the best acted scenes of the series. Powerful, hurtful, emotional, devastating….you name it. Tony’s voice changing to reflect real rage was incredible. I hate to think that married couples have these kind of verbal and physical fights all the time, but I’m sure they do. There’s a reason why divorce rates are so high, and if this is a glimpse why, I feel for those who have to suffer through such cruelty.
Yes. This was amazing. Hoped she finally gets a punch.
It's also the fact that the laws - especially monetary - heavily favour the woman so they are more enticed to divorce and some even plan it from the start.

As someone who lived in a house with a lot of fighting, I can say James Gandolfini fucking nailed it to a "T."
Thought that "This is my wife we are talking about here" sounded familiar. It is one of the things Sam Hyde says after Nick trips Sam's wife through a glass table in the classic MDE sketch
I love all these comps, but my favorite has to be the "ova here"
Johnny was being a fucking diva here. While he had a right to defend his wife's honor, he didn't want to give up his source so he just expected everyone to take his word for it and allow him to whack a capo of another family. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too (as did Ginny), but it torpedoed his whole case.

This is a spot on depiction of a lot of NJ/NYC Italian American/Irish American married couples who have a couple of decades of said marriage under their belts. I'm half and half and was born and raised in NYC. Hells Kitchen specifically. Grew up around it my entire life.
