Crochet Skirt Tutorial

- This crochet skirt is easy and quick to make. It is measurement based so you can make it in all sizes if you have waist and Hispanic measurements.
It has a crochet mesh effect on the upper part because I used a 3.5 mm hook, you may use a smaller hook like 2.5 if you want tighter stitches. At the bottom of the skirt we do have the crochet cross stitch that gives it a beautiful pattern. The draw string in the front adds a cute look to it. It gives it a crochet high low skirt design.
For this project I did 30 inches as waist and 45 inches as hips measurements.
Materials used
- 3.5mm hook
- 5 balls of acrylic yarn (50g each)
- scissor
- Tape measure

Hi, I am very confused after the waist band. when we start to do the single crochet. is it one single crochet in each stich? Or isd it 1 sc in stitch, two sc in the next stitch, and then 1 sc again? or is it 2 sc in each stitch?

Thanks for the tutorial easy to follow! Only question I have is when I get to the increase row which stitch am I increasing in the same one I did in the previous stitch or do an increase in a stitch before the increase? I hope this makes sense.
So for row 4 do I increase at the in the stitch above in row 2?

after you make the waist band, when you do single crochet, do you put two single crochets in every stitch?

can I make this skirt with just one strand of the yarn and probably a bigger hook size?
If you use one strand of bigger yarn probably medium weight yarn, a bigger hook will give a mesh look. If you use thin yarn then you would use a smaller hook

If you stretched it to your hips measurements, it should be able to pass unless you used the wrong measurements. But you can pass the skirt over your head downwards too, right?

I made only the waistband now. :)
@@Opal66Koboi sorry, I was thinking of another tutorial. It is waist measurements. You can pass it over your head. If you use hips measurements, you don’t need to make any increases as I did later in the tutorial.

Hey there! Can you not use category 4 worsted yarn for this pattern? I've literally tried a few times and it is not coming out like yours. It keeps beveling and not coming out straight
You can, check how you’re starting and ending your rows, that could be why it’s not straight

That depends on where you insert your first and last stitches. Check my latest red dress tutorial, it has a close up on where to insert the first and last stitches
