First Impressions of the New Louis Vuitton Josh

- So, I've wanted a bag like this for years and as I've been working so hard lately i decided to bite the bullet and finally treat my self.
Whilst shopping around and comparing designs, I couldn't find any videos on this new version of the Louis Vuitton Josh so i decided to make one myself to maybe help someone else.

Congratulations. Glad you treated yourself. LV is so worth it. Years ago I went on a trip to Paris and South of France and the person I went with was a big LV fan. I bought about 3 pieces for the trip. I have added to them over the years and can’t imagine using anything else. I still have all of them in great condition. I normally only use the LV bandolier doctor’s bag purse. Just love them. All worth it because they last. Use it in good health☺️

That was another reason I decided on LV over a Gucci bag, everything I have read points to LV wearing better and lasting longer
@@totallytony I have 2 suitcases, one smaller, one large. 2 different duffels, and a hanging bag and a smaller doctor’s type bag. Several purses, a dob kit and some smaller zipper purses for night time. All still really good condition. You just wipe them off.

Hi, how do you feel after a year of use? Does the black leather element near the upper zipper scratch hard?
Hey! A year on, a have little to no scratching really! Very impressed with how it held up! Admittedly, last 3 months I haven’t been using backpacks as much so I am considering selling it on but I still think it’s an awesome bag 👍🏼
I have had a backpack for a month, I took it in gray. It looks great, keeps its shape, the place near the fastener is scratched and erased. This part of the backpack is not very functional, but on the other hand it is a leather backpack, these scratches add charm.
Probably a thick question but...I just ordered mine today and was wondering what purpose does the little side ring serve? Thanks and...enjoy that beautiful bag 😉
Hey! Thanks for commenting Ingrid! I don’t believe it has an official purpose but I know LV sell bag charms/keychains etc that you could attach to it if you wanted.
Or even those little cases for airpods and headphones could clip on to it
@totallytony. I have the chance to buy the old or the new one of the Josh. Can you give me an advice? Can you suggest me which one to purchase? The metal triangle that link the straps can hurt my back? Thanks a lot!
I never owned the old one so I can’t advise on that but the new one just has a normal strap design so is very comfortable to wear :) also, personally I think the new one is much nicer looking :)

I am in between Josh & Discovery. Any recommendation that which one is better. I don’t carry too much in my back pack
I’m no expert but the Discovery looks a bit bigger/bulkier and has a much bigger front pocket, by the looks of things. If you don’t carry much I think the Josh is probably easier to carry around.
I’m in a conflict between josh and Christopher backpacks. Which one would you recommend to me as a daily carry on backpack? It’s gonna be my very first LV purchase. ❤
Personally I’m d go for the Josh for a daily as it’s less bulky but depends if you carry a lot of stuff

I bought the Josh back pack as well but it was the Checked version
Really hard to choose out of the two between the checked and the monogram
Toughest decision I had to make haha
What did u think of the Checked version?
Has the same diagonal shape with the black leather up the top
everything is the same shape wise except for the pattern
@@thefooddiscoverer I spent ages trying to choose between the different patterns too! Also the Gucci Eden was on my mind a lot that week.
I love the check version and I would have got it in black BUT as it was my first LV purchase I wanted to keep it old school and go for the monogram style.

Gucci gg supreme was going to cost $1800 Aus Compared to Gucc Josh $2800 Aus
The old one is soooo much better in my opinion. It was more structured, better made. This one looks like it’s put together in 10 minutes. I hate how sunk in it looks.
I guess that’s why it’s good for them to change up the look every few years. Helps to attract different tastes :)
finally!! a review on this new designed Josh backpack! really really great bag but I wish it could fit a MacBook. I know the old design could barely fit a 13inch MacBook based on other reviews, so with the new design I hoping it could fit a 15 -16inch Mac. but nonetheless appreciate the review! enjoy that beaut of a bag! damn that backpack looks good!
I started my luxury shopping addiction with a pocket organizer in monogram cobalt. The only lv bag I have is the now discontinued Dandy PM in the damier cobalt. From Japan no strap. BUTT, I was able to get a strap directly at the Louis Vuitton store. Please give us a month update as I’ve been eyeing this bag for a while and omg if they’d make it monogram eclipse...Jesus take the wheel! Cheers!
I’ll admit ever since ordering the bag I’ve been eyeing up the little card wallets and pocket organisers BUT I’m trying to resist.
I am going to post another video when I receive the bag organiser so keep an eye peeled for that :)
@@totallytony take my advice. Because the monogram and damier are pretty large in size they're trying to find the correct balance between cutting off some and keeping it e.g, Neo card holder in monogram macassar and Double Card holder in monogram eclipse thus makes them on the larger size and with time the cards will create an awkward crease from the edges. The pocket organizer, like mine have better proportions. Nevertheless, LV products are like a work horse. The only thing noticeable on mine is the relaxed leather on the card slots and a more flexible suppleness. Plus idk if its me but it developed a slight gloss. Same goes for Luxembourg sneakers and Pochette Jour. That being said as far as card holders go I prefer other brands like my Prada and Burberry. Oh and when you can hot stamp monogram, do it! Its free! ALSO, I know i speak a lot, use client services as a safety net. The warehouse will accept returns even if used or tags off. That's the problem with the LV, client services and the store, not mention the kiosks inside other department store, all play their own little game and handle things differently with minimal crossover. One last thing items made in France tend to be more consistent...Spain is a nightmare. HMU for anything else! :)

Weren't you infuriated by the remnants of the backpack strap when you tighten them so that the backpack sits higher? They are very long. I received my backpack this week, but I have not seen anywhere that they would hang like that

How Many Watch Boxes do you Reckon will fit in this model Pack?
I have the previous shape of the Josh. I do love this new shape, but I was disappointed to find out the zips had changed and that the metal triangle holding the straps on had gone. If it kept those 2 things I would have bought the new one straight away
I was surprised that they changed the strap design too! I quite like it either way but the metal loop version was more unique

does the leather part scratch super super easily?
Would say no. I’ve had the bag for quite a while now and whilst there are a couple of very light scratches, they aren’t noticeable and they are very few 👍🏼

Got mine in damier yesterday. My 13 inch MacBook does not fit the inner pocket.
Yea the pocket is way to slim isn’t it? Does it fit in the main bag area?

Hey :) I’m not expert, but as far as I know LV don’t put serial numbers on/in their bags anymore. There’s definitely not one on mine.
Thank you, I wanted to buy a second hand in gray Graphite Damier but it doesn't have a serial number also and I hope it's a real one.

LV doesn't go up in value... It's called inflation adjustment. For the same reason you wouldn't call a cost of living adjustment raise as a real raise....
