nice. my boss at work uses a insulated wiha 3.0mm or something as a striking cap, for appropriate sized jobs of course, but that thing is old but still functional
Yeah, I would ordinarily have just put this in the queue and had it release in 3-6 months, but the extravaganza has some legit deals, so I wanted it out for people to cash in on it.
While I have never used a Gearwrench screwdriver, I'm going to say that I couldn't imagine Gearwrench being better. Wiha's are some of the best out there. I don't have a ton of experience whaling on the striking cap iterations (hence this set coming in for work), but the build quality is fantastic. These have one of the largest striking caps you could have, hex bolsters, and assuming the tips hold up like the rest of my Wiha drivers they will be great. If you are on the fence, I would buy a standalone driver or two and try them out. I actually always suggest that, especially vs buying something like this set. Get whatever you need, or will use the most, and go to town. But again, based on my personal experience with Wiha, I would have a hard time imagining Gearwrench being on that level. I'd say they cost less, but I wouldn't be surprised if you can't snag a standalone Wiha for around the same price. I need to bring in some gw stuff to test out...just haven't gotten around to it. It reminds me of gm's "goodwrench" and I don't like what the parent company has done to some American legacy brands.
Thanks. I'm surgeon (still in my 30s) but love tools and work on my cars and fix anything i can around the house and my practice. I also work with medical grade plates and screws and therfore screw drivers in the OR. There is a difference and have stripped many screws because of bad screw drivers in the OR, so I get what you mean and why you recommend these. Thank you again.
Very cool. Yeah, I would not hesitate to recommend Wiha. You can get pretty good performance out of several brands, so it might come down to availability and your personal preference for ergonomics and aesthetics. A lot of people like Wera (I'd suggest their Laser Tip for your scenario). Witte and PB Swiss should also be on the short list. If you need stainless, it might narrow it down a bit.

Nice...I'm hoping to find the smallest striking cap that will survive.
Size 15 surgical blade handles have the measurement feature. I use it all the time in the OR. Very cool
Haha, nice! I'll have to ask my RN friend about that...very precise foam cutting!
Nice deals, but I have these covered

Does your set say Made in Germany? Every set i looked at of this brand on Amazon, says Made in China. To me that is a deal breaker.
@@TheEdawg77 thank you. Just got the set delivered from wiha seller. Amazing...
Yep, as mentioned...these are Made in Germany.
