I have the black one (the newer version with black stitches) and it isn't that sturdy at all. Within one month it looked flimsy and stretched out although I carried a lot less stuff in it, babying it. My best friend has the brown one that she bought at the same time and when we looked at them side by side then there was a difference in leather definitely. The black one was thinner and less study, brown one was very well structured and held beautifully. I have sent the bag back because the edges on the handles had defects and I hope they look at the bag's quality overall. I am not happy at all seeing so many Polene bag reviews where other bags have way better quality than mine :(

I know this video is older, but you're supposed to slide the button through the hole from the side instead of from the top, that's what the slits are for. I have the same closure on the straps of my Dix, and doing this has been a game changer, so much easier. Great review by the way, this helped a lot!
@@anhthunguyen2180 Don't try to push the button through the hole all at once but rather from the side, so first one side of the button and then the other. In this case the slit can help. But I admit it's way more fiddly with the Cyme than with the Dix because the buttons are smaller. You still have to force it a couple of times until it wears in a little bit.

I really dislike totes that flop over and spill all your things out onto the floor and have been hesitant on purchasing this bag because I'm wary that the shape of it will make it quite unstable for carrying work items such as iPad/laptop, books, water bottle, etc. When you carry your laptop do you find the bag is likely to spill things out when you set it down or is it able to stay upright?
So sorry for the late reply! I didn't have any data before but I actually just this month tried using it on a plane as an airport bag! I was afraid of things falling out too so what I did was used the dust bag to bag this bag. That meant (1) the bag would be kept clean when I placed it under the seat in front of me and (2) because the dust bag has a drawstring, I could use that to essentially shut the bag completely so things didn't fall out! It was defo a concern though, and have to say was not the best airport bag xxx

Hi Zora - so sorry I completely missed your comment! The bag usually stands when I put my laptop and other things inside but definitely depends on how much you stuff it! The bag has a very small base so it wouldn't take much to make the bag fall over! Hope you love the bag when you get it :) xxx
Great review, very useful thank you! I cant decide whether to get this bag or the numero un. Great tip about not being able to use it with the long straps with only one arm. Do the short straps get in the way when you wear it with the long straps, do they poke you in the armpit?
Hi Evelien! So sorry I missed your comment! They don't "poke" me in the armpit although when the weather is warmer and I'm wearing less layers then I do sort of notice the straps being there if that makes sense... I don't find them uncomfortable but I also tend to wear layers being in the UK! Hope that helps :) xx

It definitely fits a laptop and chilly's water bottle. As for the tupperware, my guess is that there is room for a tupperware and a computer BUT I don't think you would be able to place the tupperware flat at the bottom because of those flap things on the inside of the bag that I showed in the video. I think you'd have to put the box in sideways... So if you have something with sauce/liquids I definitely would not recommend using this bag! If you are looking for a bag that can fit more then I'd recommend checking out my newest video which is in the process of being uploaded now :) I'll send you a link once it's up! xx
I think u need to insert the side strap side ways to its mushroom button, do not poke it directly to the hole. 😊 coz if u do directly to it, you will definitely really have a hard time 😊 just my thought of it..
I’m loving the look of this bag but I know it’s just too big for me and would get no use. Still eyeing the Beri though. I also prefer that it has lining… vintage Coach bags that are bare inside like this feels icky to me 😅
