this has some great rock elements guys!
hello plini i love you
Plini you have great elements period lol
Was that a pun? "rock" element?
Plini you are just too good.
Did my favorite artist really just comment on my favorite bands video? Go get sythu aye and do a cover!!!
After all these years, this song still hits differently than other Polyphia’s songs.
ikr. glad im not the only one
My thoughts exactly. Definitely number 1 in my book
Yeah, still number 1 for me as well. Can’t wait for Album 4 tho.
Yes, definitely this is their best song
I'm just getting into them. I went back to their old stuff because I heard they used to be more "djent" I found myself wondering if they ever really "opened up", crescendoed, or what ever you want to call playing really loud. This song did not disappoint.
love the tone they're getting out of those rock amps
The sound that they get is rock solid
They got the mossy patch and kelp patch
that's a beautiful tone from those boulders
Hey, look! 87.
I used to think 42 was the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. Now I'm pretty sure it's 87
You win the net for now +Chuck Norris
8675309??
earth is the computer, and now its got the answer
Coming back to this track after discovering them 4 years ago and this song is the one I always use as an example of how underrated Scott LePage is in terms of his playing and melody.
ikr
👃 he and Tim make such a great duo.
Fans who followed them since their ep days knows who Scottie is. Unfortunately the new fans doesn't
@@xborg3236 I mean I'd argue that the newest fans know him really well, considered how much they showcased his playing on the last album.
@xborg3236 Considering on their latest album Scott actually plays all the solos (Tim doesn't have 1 solo on RTYWD) I'd say it's the opposite. Old fans barely gave Scott attention lol.
Perfect blend of emotional and technical guitar playing. Both of which I love, stoked for this album boys.
@0:32 solo and @3:45 are the most beautiful solos you've ever written so far guys !
Tim knew how to start it, and Scott beautifully finished it.
Little did you know lol
Seven years later and being plugged into that rock is still beautiful.
like you, I like chon, animals as leaders, contortionist, periphery, etc. I think there is only one element of music, where polyphia excels: the positive vibes! this music may not be so technical or complex like the others above but by simply listening, I feel happy! I listened this album today when I went for a good running and felt full of energy. so, thumbs up, we need music like this.
Jordan Mandas Have you ever tried to play any Periphery, Contortionist, Chon or AAL?
Jordan Mandas Oh, I'm not doubting you. I'm sure you can play it. But have you tried learning a full Periphery song? Something like Insomnia or Letter Experiment? Or one of the Chon songs off Newborn Son like Dew or Fluffy? Or something like Lippincott by AAL? Sure Polyphia has some complex solo bits, but I just think you might be underestimating these other guys a bit. I could be misunderstanding, but I just know from learning how to play some Polyphia tracks that I find Periphery and Chon to be a lot harder than even some of the toughest Polyphia songs. In terms of soloing, Polyphia knows their stuff. But in terms of overall difficulty, I think you might be underestimating a bit. Just to be clear, I could be perceiving this wrongly and I'm not trying to talk shit on you or anything. I'm sure you're a kind soul.
Jordan Mandas anyone who has brilliant technique can learn polyphia, if you have put the time into learning every scale pattern and all that it really isnt that difficult. However bands like Periphery, AAL and the likes, all play crazy ass riffs that are damn hard to get your head around. I'm no fret wizard but i find it considerably easier learning fast legato/ noodley stuff than i do with tosin's crazy thumping riffs and the sheer musical wonder of mark holcomb and the likes. Faster doesn't necessarily mean harder
You’d love Sithu Aye
then fast forward 8 years to the future, polyphia became the most technical and complex out of all the bands you mentioned.
Just started learning this. One of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard. This song has so much emotion.
Sanic Approves.
This still is one of my favourite songs! It gives us such feel-good vibes. Always puts me in a sweet mood.
an absolute masterpiece, still can't get over this song...
1:53 dat pluck GAWDDAMN!!!!
I know right..Sweet Jesus
Where they are playing is precisely where their music takes me. Omg so perfect. So pumped for this album.
Scotts solo at the end always gives me goosebumps and makes me want to cry.
This was my wedding song, and I remember meeting all of you when yall came to Atlanta I think at the Tabernacle. My husband and I came to see ypur show for our first year anniversary 💕 we love you guys
The drum covering the guitars, amazing! this is made the different than other Polyphia’s songs
My all time favorite song has finally reached its 1 Million views, I'm so happy and proud of you guys how you grew and came so far ❤ !
Dang!! I have been listening to this song on repeat for weeks. Still hasn't gotten old.
I'm proud of being one of those who donated to make this possible. The pre production version is nothing compared to this. This is absolutely aMUSEing and I'm INSPIREd now to learn every note off your album in September.
The interlude is just phenomenal. Soothing 😌❤️
You guys have really found your niche. Between the album promo, sweet tea and this, the album is shaping up to be one of the best albums of the year.
I'm personally a big fan of well executed instrumental music and i love this album. Im a guitar player and often pay close attention to the guitar parts. The music these guys created is very pleasing to my ears and its absolutely beautiful from beginning to end. They have successfully painted a scene in my head with their music. These guys are very inspiring to me and as a guitarist I hope to one day be able to do what these guys have done with their music, with my own music
The new mix and tones really brought the life out of this song. Everything is on point. Awesome work dudes!
easily the best instrumental y'all have made.
i actually wrote and recorded vocals over it because it was so inspiring, and just finished doing it.
i would upload it and would love to show you guys but due to copywriter, it doesn't allow me.
i literally poured my heart out into the song, too.
either way, phenomenal work on this track.
11/10
+David Joseph Pierson have you uploaded it somewhere yet? i like to hear it.
i can only upload the intro i made into the song. if nothing else, this will give you an idea what the song was about. ill keep trying to find means of uploading it.
stay posted.

Someone doesn't know what literally means.
+David Joseph Pierson glad someone else noticed
by a mile their best songs and one of my favourite instrumentals ever
no one wants your trash vocals
Beautiful vid boys!
Fell in love with this song when it came out and now here we are.
Cant believe it took the world a whole decade to stop sleeping on you guys. 😅
Absolutely soaring! A perfect illustration of how it is possible to say so much without any words. It should almost be illegal to rock so supremely, but I'm so glad it's not.
Why does so many have to have vocals in their songs?
Sometimes we don't need obvious lyrics to tell us what the song is about..use your imagination and feel the music instead
this is the exact reason I'm so deeply in love with Polyphia music
It is awesome how creative and precise these guys are. Music like this is one of the finer qualities in life. *thumbs up*
I can feel the emotional depth put into there music . It's like a breath of fresh air to this generation.
So are they like just, plugged into that rock lol
Thats why it's called rock music ;)
You guys rock!!
Actually most bands do playthroughs unplugged, alll you want to see in a playthrough is the finger movement and wat you hear is obviously the recorded track. Keyword is "most"
thank you captain obvious :)
Petroglyphs oh wow xD sorry i must have clicked to you by mistake and didn't pay attention when i typed it. This wasn't for you my bad.
Wow, the difference from the Pre-production and this... Spectacular!
So excited for this album
Wow.
That guitar is plugged to a rock
Gabriel Molina of course man.... how else are they supposed to ROCK OUT!
Gabriel Molina Music with rocks in it.
Guess you could say this... ROCKS.
+Gabriel Molina That's how they get such ROCK solid tones...
Could you guys be any BOULDER with your puns?
You guys are so nice. Letting us watch how you play it. Thank you.
Two guitarrists. One bassist. One drummer. One nose.
One nose
A Prolific nose
Stop playing Paramore covers, that are making some serious shit in your head.
and one love.
that nose though
One of the greatest riff from polyphia🐉🐲🎸
This just has so much feel all over it. All their songs do... They are just great. I enjoyed the video and many of their other videos. Keep Rockin' Polyphia.
One of the best bands!
This level of guitar playing is astonishing and very tasteful - I am AMAZED !
One of the great things about Polyphia's vids: That bottom string flopping around like a loose telephone cable!
I think the direction this group is taking is fantastic. I was sooo happy when I heard sweet tea. Maybe if more groups wrote like this the world wouldn't be so full of files up hateful people!
*fucked up
Wait till 2021.
I'll miss this....This was why I fell in love with the band. These songs were their best to me. Each one tells a story. They're fucking beautiful, so beautiful 💔😣 not that their new stuff is bad, they're in a phase hopefully though. lol 🤙🏻
Very cool video guys! Great playing/music and beautiful EBMMs.
You guys put instrumental bands at a whole other level
Wow, you've made the song even better...... So psyched for teh album!
This is my favorite song from Polyphia, and I'm pretty sure it always will be.
Is it still?
@@AfterAnAutopsy no actually, it's crush. Honestly the entire b side of Renaissance
@@DL_Burga didn't expect an immediate response to be honest. That is definitely a great song
@@AfterAnAutopsy lol it's what happens when I have youtube notifications enabled
Their fingerwork is amazing
One of the most beautiful songs you've created lads, well done, please come to Belfast
I love what you guys are doing with your music. You rock.
Just chilling by the ocean. Shredding the guitar and grooving the soul. NBD.
Good to hear some new guys who understand that milking the slow notes is everything. Shredding is just guitar gymnastics without that. Great stuff guys ! Just heard you on 90.3 WESS , E. Strouds, PA ...thanks to that kid DJ
Holy FUCK the hook in the intro is way more amazing now with that synth.
Love how they're out by the shore! That is what I always imagine whenever I listen to this song!
The very first Polyphia song I listened to 5 years ago and inspired by these guys ever since
This song is AMAZING. I will definitely pre-order the album.
3:12 those bends rise my soul everytime bro
EDIT: that bend, just realized the other ones are slides :P
I just found you guys out. Effing loooooove the guitar work.
tim + scott = best guitarist / musician duo ever , they really got an "alchimie " ( don't know how to say it in english :D ) plus the clay genius bass lines ... i don't know a shit abvout drum and i know they changed drummer lot of time theses years , but to me this sound like the perfect drummer i would like to have to compose some guitar solos ! cheers guys my favorite album from you so far , muse is a masterpiece !
you must of never heard of erick and mario from chon lol
Such nice camera work nice job tim
AMAZING color scheme guys. Good job on the video
I used to live here in Santa Cruz ... Nice tune guys ..
i love this style and the inspire ep sound so much more than the stuiff they are doing now
I love the setting!
can't wait to see you guys in brazil as soon as possible!
I used to work a beach wedding job in SoCal before the pandemic and I would put Polyphia on the loudspeakers while we were setting up and again while we were sparking up after we broke everything down and packed up lol such good times, such beautiful music.
hands down my favorite underrated song of Polyphia. Back when they were talented teenagers who created shit for fun, plus Tim looks fken cool here
Been here since Inspire, still believing that Scott is the real boss of Polyphia. His playing has never sounded like mindless shredding, Scott plays with a certain feel that I haven’t heard from Tim. Tim is the guitar equivalent to Brandon when Brandon used to drum for them, amazing musicians both of them, but no feeling.
Scott is life
Scott is love
discovered these dudes in 2013 also and i gotta say you're completely correct lol. scott's riff direction is so jazy and well thought out, unlike tim who plays like he snorts coke before every song
@@thycreator3296 😂😂💀
Same. But Tim is more technical in my opinion
both are good, but scottie's riffs are always groovier and imo, classier
@@hectorg362 late reply or what, I’m terrible 😂 I agree whole heartedly, Tim is the better guitarist from a technical stance, and Scott adds the sauce to the drip 🙌🏻
Finally! Been waiting all day:) perfection right here.
By far their most underrated song 🎶
You guys are truly amazing, love your work!!! If you don't mind helping a fellow guitar player out, I was wondering what scales u guys typically play on? And also I was curious to know what scale degree your harmonies are ( fiths or thirds or something else) thanks!! :)
Thanks guys. Awesome stuff you guys do!
Awesome. Just awesome. Great phrasing and melodies, tight and technical playing but the vibrato brings it even more alive. Having the lead a bit more 'present' and forward in the mix is the only thing that would make this more perfect. Look forward to the album!!
Yay. can't wait for the new album!
Nice work guys, but man I think the blue ebmm guitars would be perfect for this video!
I love the new intro thing you put in!
1:05 That face. 'That' face means business.
Amazing precision! Dig what you doing.
Bro this came out when I was 8, this is mind blowing that I missed out on this stuff until now 10 years later
I'm from Santa Cruz, where this was filmed, and have been watching this for years; but I've just noticed that Scott's watch is facing the bottom of his wrist.
i love the backwards truss rod cover on the neck even though its adjusted on the bottom of the neck!
Really great job guy's , hopefully you will get the credit you deserve!
Polyphia! I am a huge fan! Your talent is inspiring and exemplary and just amazing!! I definitely plan on buying merch from y'all and spread the word about your amazing band. With that being said, I have one request. I know this maybe just a waste of time for y'all or just seems downright boring, but please, can you guys please write some tabs down? I'm not skilled enough to learn this whole song by ear and if I could choose any song to be able to play, it'd be this one and I mean that. I hope to be as skilled as you guys one day and I love your playing style and I think learning this song might help me evolve immensely in my guitar learning process
Thank you guys anyways for just being an inspiration!
Love it! I like the tone better in prepro though. Regardless, this is great!
This is amazing. :O Now where's that piano play-through?
great shit. this is revolutionary and new. they are one of a kind. keep this shit up.
That would be great to have the tab book for your new album. Pls make it.
Awesome!!! Beautiful stuff guys.
where was clay and brandon in this? i understand not lugging out a full kit but no bass playthrough????
Solid video guys! Is there going to be a vocalist?
The ocean and The view in background looks gorgeous and epic!!
Where's that??
This is effing great. Can't wait for the album release :3
Amazing skills! Love the tone in every section! Have you played everything with that or those Music Mans?
Greetings from Finland!
nice song! and that place looks so peaceful :)
So much talent in one video! :0
I just love your music,,,,,,
You guys make me proud to have ears.
you guys are nuts. this song is epic, especially from 3:12 to the end
hey +polyphia are the synth from the axe fx or just plain key board? and witch kind of jp6 is that? koa? thank you! great job!
