great to see you making videos jim, thanks for sharing friend have a great day brother man.
Awesome information & great video . Thank you 👍
Nice Video as always Jim. Like you said it will take a couple times to rid a tank of these guys.I first use as a dip by adding 4 times the dose in some tank water and only leaving the coral soak for 15 mins. Then gently turkey basting the ones left on the coral off. Then let them sit in another bucket of tank water for 15 mins before returning them to the tank. I also only dip the same type of coral in the same bucket. because like hammer corals, they release their own version of toxin that would hurt some other corals. If you get a bunch of flatworms in the bucket you should start a fresh one. After that I wait a week or two and then Treat the tank. That way most of the flatworms are already gone. This way may not work any cheaper or faster but it is a safer way to go about it.
Thanks!
My Elegance Corals were covered...spent a few weeks sucking them out with a turkey baster, rather than using any chemical stuff...worked a treat and no sign of them at all now...just needs lots of patience!!
you deserve way more views and subscribers
be careful with the ammonia spike it will go up i went through it like you said have plenty of carbon i also removed the corals that i could and dipped it in coral x it killed all of them
The one of the worst infestations of flatworms I've ever seen.
Does kill bristles worms too?
No it has no effect on Brissle Worms
Ok thanks I bought some coral frags that have worms that don’t look like bristle worms or flat worms. They are real small and not bristly and they can stretch out to an inch long or more. Maybe juvenile bristle worms?
such a cliff hanger.
All I did was take a new (empty) ketchup bottle and fill it with the water (ie Aquarium water) and just direct its nozzle to the infected coral and squeeze the bottle as it projects the water. The worm instantly blew away, very easily. But this I did in our ocean conservation, so the fishes happily eats it and I wouldnt care if it dropped on the sand. In Aquarium perhaps just in a controlled environment or a separate water container.
Did you kill them all in the end?
Yes and it only took one dose.
@@lafishguy When they die, do they not release a toxic substance?
Those are the biggest flatworms I've ever seen. And the first to not die right away.
I used this product and was not impressed. I ended up using 3 1/2 times the dosage recommendations. After 2 hours still had a number of flatworms in the tank. Had same reactions that you did. Flatworms were irritated and protien skimmer did not produce anything.
Results seem to vary quite a bit between users. As you saw I had great results but others, like yourself, have noty been impressed.
It doesn't take time, they all die instantly.
get an adorned wrasse...let nature do its magic
grosses me out
Watch out with that stuff, Tangs do not like it
It look so ugly
