Nice video Jim. Yeah I have a 90 gallon with the reef keeper lite from Digital Aquatics. As you know good products, customer service blows tho haha. I have a like I said 90 gallon with a canopy and its in a small room with POOR circulation. I use to use some fans...the fans were nice...and did work but there a bit loud for me in small areas. So I ended up buy the 1/10 HP JBJ Artica chiller from BRS for about 500ish...I also ended up getting a sicce 2.0 silent submersible pump and the usual clear tubing and clamps for the chiller. I used BRS recommended and or JBJs recommend min and max flow rates when buying my pump...I have to say...that chiller was the best investment man. That thing does make some noise...but its that soothing AC window unit noise that always puts me to sleep lol. I had my fans set with the reef keeper...but man it took them running along time to get the temp down at all...the chiller knocks it down a whole degree...fast but not too fast. My problem is that the water in my sump is obviously hotter than my DT...so I had to tweak the chiller and have it set to come on much higher than the DT temp as so it would coincide with the DT and be on point...if that makes any sense at all. I think the days of chillers are going away with the LEDs and stuff...and people not having canopy's...I personally love mine...I still have my fans installed AND I have them to come on if my tank goes above a certain temp for W/E reason. Plus...plus chillers will usually help if you have a stuck heater...however if you have a controller it SHOULD pop off the heater regardless. Great video man keep them coming, btw...I love your VAN man! Nothing like a man that takes care of a oldie but goodie, how many miles you got on her? What did you give for it? I really love how the back had the both doors that open and or the hatch that just pops up! That's so cool, to be honest, those types of vans in that shape are hard to come by these days...u never know...it might actually start appreciating in value soon...seriously.

would you make any recommendation and or make a video on buying a mini freezer & taking it apart & use the piping lines of the freezer & make holes in the tank & putting the cold part of the pipe completely submerged in the water, & throw the fridge away like a manual?

Omar, I would suggest just buying an aquarium chiller as its going to be far more efficient, have a thermostat and be much easier to install. Ive attempted what you suggest and its just not worth the hassle, and keep in mind the refrigeration lines are not safe in saltwater.

Why not just run copper tube into tank and hack a cooler full of ice and water and have a pump the cold water around till desired temp reached then have temp controller set to turn it off and on?
