To address your dilemma of wanting to please people and worrying about what they think, I have some input. The solution is to get old. You’re still young and you have a mindset that it matters what people think. In 10-20 years that mindset magically disappears. I was shocked when it happened. And I have never been happier. Personally I think you are a smart, savvy business person. You both work hard to achieve your goals and still find time to help and care for others. I love the channel and admire and respect you both.
Ask your handy man if he knows anyone who could cut the mirror after it’s cut you can cut the frame down to size & it’ll still be cheaper than buying a new mirror

In my 20's, 30's I was a people pleaser and now in my 50's I don't care at ALL what people think or say about me, it's definitely an AGE thing. You learn to not care anymore because their opinion does not matter. I LOVE YOU GUYS and have learned SOOOOOO much from you. LOVE YOU Josh but I missed Hayley and was happy to see her back today.

Other people's opinions of you don't usually affect your life very much. When I look back at all the things I did to make people happy, I was compromising my own happiness, I came to realize it really didn't matter, cuz they didn't appreciate it or notice it or they didn't really care. They weren't ignoring what I did but life is busy and people get distracted. Make yourself happy, you've only got one shot at this.
Agree! I hit 40 and realized I really didn't care what other people thought of me. Because I realized I don't know most of those people and the people who mean the most to me, are the only ones that I truly care what they think. Funny I never was a people pleaser. I have been teaching a friend. I mean by age 12 people could kiss my a$$. I just didn’t care ever in my life to dress like the crowd and never tried to. I like to be comfortable. I do what makes me happy and everyone else should too.

You should never feel guilty for doing a great job. Go ahead and watch a sale from the crazy lamp lady. She has such a strong following that she'll sell a $2 nick nack from Goodwill for 200. Over and over again people over pay for items because of her RUclips following she has over a thousand people in every one of her sales, because of her RUclips following. She's not feeling guilty she's taking her family on vacation and while she's on vacation she's also thrifting and doing her job. If you were retail store you would make commercials to get people to come into your store to buy items. RUclips is basically a commercial for your store. If anybody has anything to say about it, who cares . Those are the kind of people that should be paying more attention to how they make a living than to picking at yours
Great video! One thing I noticed last time you showed the kitchen is the lack of drawers. If you do put in more cabinets I would vote for a cabinet with 3-4 drawers. As a cook, I have lots of utensils, kitchen towels and pot holders and only 4 drawers. Or if you do an island, make sure it has lots of drawers. Just a womans opinion!
I too am a people pleaser. I will say that I am also a landlord and own two rental properties and it has gotten me in trouble. I used a property manager for a couple years until I felt I could handle things myself. Its been about 10 years now and I am getting stronger with telling people no, or pointing out tenant damage vs wear and tear. As always thank you for an entertaining lunch and I will check in for the next one.

Re: the haters... You having a RUclips platform is part of your work. It is not easy to create such a large RUclips community otherwise everyone would do it. Essentially, you're a name brand with a great marketing strategy vs a small indy brand. You put in the work, you deserve your success.

I think you are going the right direction with ignoring the negativity and focusing on how you do your business. People get jealous and will say anything to bring you down. I'm jealous, but for good reasons. Mainly because I use you guys as a goal setter for me. I'm jealous that you all have a huge audience, but I realize it takes time and effort. I LOVE selling on Whatnot and I average around 9 people in my shows. 😂😂 I LOVE the community and the friends I've made, the selling is just the icing on the cake.

You having a RUclips platform is part of your work. It is not easy to create such a large RUclips community otherwise everyone would do it. Essentially, you're a name brand with a great marketing strategy vs a small indy brand. You put in the work, you deserve your success.
