Personally, I was never really interested in RDO. To me, it just seemed to take away most the stor mode offered, for little in return. The map just felt so much less vibrant, less alive; the main story was just so good, the Camp with all these lovely or deplorable people I still return to every few hours constantly; cigarette cards (I have a weird obsession of collecting them in the thousands). Yet, I can fully understand anyone who wanted to hop into the Old West with their buddies and are now disappointed that R* decided not enough little children play RDO.
Stuff like the flat iron monster bum me out most when learning new bits of info for this game. Solely because the game got no major dlcs post release but it's obvious they had a ton of stuff they cut prior that could have been added back in.
Rockstar could slowly add it and they could add it to the next gens but they choose not to. Instead they abandoned the whole thing for microtransactions.
I doubt you'd be able to hunt it, it probably would have been something like the ufo Easter egg. You hear it's roar and see it's head in the distance and then poof, end of Easter egg
I would've loved a driver story about the Strange Man. "You hear about the sightings of the Strange Man, mister? Over the years, customers have told me stories about a man dressed in a fancy suit and top hat that can't be killed. Some say he's God, others think he's the devil. Hell, I had one man swear to me that he was death itself in human form. Never seen such a feller myself. Don't know if I'd want to."
Or they could say something about folks friends telling them they keep seeing a man dressed in the finest suit and clothing multiple times and then a few weeks later they turn up dead or something along those lines

You should do the story of Garfield and Martha. You can find Garfields body at Bolger Glade stabbed into a tree and Martha in a cabin somewhere in Roanoke Ridge
There is indeed a deleted mission where Hosea asks Arthur to explode a warehouse that belongs to Cornwall to see Saint Denis police reaction. Some of it's objectives, the map picture of the mission and even the destroyed warehouse model are still on the files of the game.
As cool as this mission probably would have been, it makes more sense story wise why it was cut. Hosea knew not to mess with Cornwall, said it himself, and blowing up one of his factories would bring far too much unwanted attention down on them

First guy sounds like the same VA as the guy who got killed by the Skinner brothers who was hired to protect the wagons on John and Charles' trip to Manzanita.
This would have been a pretty cool little extra feature to have in the game. I'm surprised they would scrap it after already recording all the audio. I don't know that I personally would want to sit and listen to the stories and watch the entire coach trips super often, but I think they would have been entertaining here and there.
I wonder why they cut stuff like this. Not that many wouldve done it all of the time.. but some including myself would've . Maybe it just came down to the random events and stuff.. So Raiders and stuff wouldnt constantly show up shooting up the coach all of the time. IDK. Or They just rather it was only a fast travel because it was pointless otherwise... other than the stories. Still super interesting when stuff like this is discovered.
I think it also has to do with the content as well, he used to upload regularly but you can only milk content from 1 game for so long before you start running out of ideas
I miss the first Red Dead Redemption when you could just watch the stagecoach go along roads through towns. I always ate during this time and just watched while traveling the map.
Hi, I’m a 22 yr old female who isn’t really into video games. I would play gta San Andreas growing up but i just liked driving around and not really doing the missions, just goofing around. I recently played gta 5 (and actually did all the missions) But i heard of rdr2 in like 2021 and decided to play it. And OMG it is the most amazing game, i personally love history and western/early America times so this game was amazing to me. But the detail, the storyline… everything!!! I love it so much, i wish i could play it from the start again without knowing everything. I got through every single mission!! I couldn’t stop! I think this should be made into a movie, the story line is just so amazing! Everyone should know/ see it. I want my older family members to know it, but it would be impossible to have them sit infront of the screen everytime i play it, and they are too old to know how to play it themselves haha but they would love it, i try to explain it to them, but it’s just not possible to go into the detail. But anyway sorry for my rambling and terrible grammar😂 But i think everyone should play this. If you haven’t played it yet, you need too!!!!
I started playing it the first time last month, and I was blown away as well. I loved the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, but this one was another level above. I, too, wish I could start over having fresh eyes.
I honestly feel like the idea of the coach drivers being able to tell stories would've made the game a lot more interesting. The fact that a lot of the stories are refrences to other secrets is more darkening than most.

Exactly why this game should have been delayed and not rushed. I wouldn’t have gotten into westerns in 2018 which is now my favorite genre but it would have been worth it. So much cool shit we don’t have now cause they rushed it
