Mr. Larson I am a new subscriber. I live in North Texas near the Oklahoma border. I too have just a few acres..21 to be exact. Small by Texas standards but am grateful. Your video of your home came through my feed. I just love your story. I am binge watching your channel. I just wanted you and your family to know how much I respect and appreciate your family’s history and what you are doing. God bless you Sir. Thank you for what y’all do!
Loved this video. You couldn't hide your enthusiasm, you had a huge smile the entire video. Prince Albert in a can LOL, don't remember the last time I heard that. Too funny.
that is what i luv about going to fairs, farm shows,to look at the old tractors, hear them run,i learned how to work with them old tractors, would always start
Hearing that whistle blow at lunch time took me directly back to my childhood growing up in Mechanicville, NY! Everyday, as a child, I could hear the whistle at the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Mill on the Hudson River blow at noon and at quitting time. Both my Grandfather and Father worked there. Sometimes my Mom would drive us up to the plant when the noon whistle blew and my GrandDad would come to a certain window, open it up and wave to us in the car. Me and my younger sister, (4 and 3 years old), were the moon and the stars in my GrandDad’s eyes. Thank you for that unplanned walk down memory lane. 😘
I am learning about machines used on a farm knowledge being told to us.. wonderful family stories what a gentleman and his wife what a gal different than nursing working on a farm.. the name John Deer tractors and green .. what a video watching what world farmers lived.. you are amazing person.
I was there yesterday (Saturday) Very nice show well worth the 4.5 hour drive (one way) to see it! Didn’t realize until I watched the video this morning I was in your neck of the woods. Nice farmland country up there! Thanks for doing this video. I would recommend an antique tractor show visit to all of your viewers. I go to 6 or 7 a year in a 4 state area and I learn something new every time! Thanks Pete!!
You made me watch three auctions in a row. You are so blessed to have your kids and your Dad to go with you. Having 3years to rebuilt my 1969 AMC AMX 390 I KNOW how hard it is to bring these back to where they belong. I love how you get excited about a really good resteration . I would love to see you find a old truck like that red one. You are so good at it and it's something that could be given down the line. I appreciate how much you adore what you do. I hope you get to a million veiwers to make a great income farming. You are a lucky person Pete. Neal
The stationary engine at 5:00 reminds me of our irrigation pump engine on the farm. Ours ran off Natural Gas. I remember my Dad changing the oil and it looked like brand new and the spark plugs were perfect it ran so clean.
Reminds me of when I'd work at W.M.S.T.R. Worked in the foundry all day and wandered around to look at the tractors and steam engines. Good times I can still smell the smell of all those steam engines.
My family always went to a steam show every yr one in Alexander New York and the other in canandaigua New York we spent one night there and we tried to see everything and as always I love every minute of it
WoW ! Well worth watching (ex- IH Parts Interpreter here, but in Australia) Thank you for taking the time to video, I bet there was heaps more than you could show. I've always had a soft spot for the old engines.
In Iowa we have the Old Thrasher Reunion in Mt. Pleasant, IA in September. It's neat to see a different area's tractors and stuff, it looks pretty big. Thanks for the show
This is an unbelievable experience of history. There is nothing, that I'm aware of, around me that is like this. This is so exciting to see that even basic technology is still running and running right. Imagine that. Sweet video!!
I just found you today because I love house renovation. I design and my husband is a cabinet maker. We appreciate homes, good health , farmers market. We are close to retiring and would love to buy a few access and farm. Your channel is inspiring and you and your family have made something very special. Thank you for sharing. We hope to become more independent and take, care of ourselves in a more sustainable way.n thanks again!!🌻🌼🌺
My Dad bought a 1950 International pickup when I was 3 years old and we drove that thing everywhere. Our family would ride all 7 of us in the cab. Had that old truck until I was about 17. Loved that old truck.
Looking forward to the Maryland Steam Historical Society show next month. I have been MIA for the last couple of years, between taking care of Dad for a couple of years and Covid.
C'mon At least you showed us some John Deere. I still watch you run your red stuff even though I was born in Waterloo Iowa home of the big green machines
@@hunterjacobs2178 yep the only real tractors I saw was a line of orange, and it's cousins across with the right color green...... Long live Allis Chalmers and Oliver .... RIP
Awsome video....I'm 43 and have been going to shows like this with my dad since I was about 8.....that y I have such a love for tractors.....as you do....especially RED tractors
When I saw the title today I thought..”I’m not really interested in a tractor show”. However, I actually found it quite interesting even though I don’t understand how an engine works...it’s Greek to me. I did enjoy seeing the working steam engines (quite the era) and the miniatures were fascinating. The flea market is more my speed but I did enjoy the whole show Pete. 🥰👍
@@JustaFewAcresFarm thank you for this video we have a tractor show at the lake county fair grounds in Indiana but this is way bigger and thank you very much
Great video! We attended the pioneer gas and steam society show in nw Pennsylvania. My 9 year old loves it and seems like our 3 year old does also! I just ordered a copy of your book I cannot wait for it to come in the mail. We have a small hobby farm with chickens, pigs and a few steers that we got as bottle calves. My sons and I really enjoy your content and look forward to seeing what the next one has in store!
Its hard to fathom the intelligence and ingenuity the engineers of those old machines. Impressive.
