I have an F56 S as an 18yo right now,absolutely blast of a car.I was lucky enough to find one with the full jcw bucket seats and exterior
I am proud to call my mothers coopers r53 convertible my own. I bought it from my mom. The rims are ruined but after 110k there is next to nun oil consumption. Nearly no city driving. These cars are very emotional. You hear every mechanical part of it. The compressor hits around 2500rpm and still you get rewarded if you rev it till 6800 rpm

I have driven many fun and fast cars but i must say having driving a track prepped r53 was the most fun i've ever had in an FWD car. The thing just wants to be revved and beat upon, very bad for your license and painful for your cheeks!! Many smiles!!!

What a clean runner!
I figured the GP top speed would exceed the cooper S surprised it doesn’t. Doesn’t take long to get to 130 but takes a little while to get the extra 13 miles an hour top speed. This one only got to 141.3mph. Should be able to do a little more than that.
It’s quite interesting isn’t it. I think it had something to do with the relatively close ratio gearbox although it does not have a lot of power left after 120mph.

A lot of money for not a lot describes this car.
They did get quite expensive in recent years yes that’s true. But it’s the feeling you get while driving it which makes it truly special.

if you maintain them no, quite the opposite
Aside for some small errors which you can have it is not less reliable as any other BMW product from this era. With good maintanance it is very reliable.
I’ve had one for nearly 6 years, but it’s been pretty reliable for me✌🏼 Like most cars, you just have to take care of it.
