That trucker got really into the Ramone's song and he killed Gage Creed I don't if the trucker lived or not in the book he lived and he tried to kill himself for killing Gage but in the movie you don't know if he lived might face some serious jail time.
I doubt it... wasn't really his fault that a little boy walked in the middle of the road right in front of him. In the movie he tried to stop by slamming on his breaks but by then it was too late.
It wasn't his fault. Remember in the novel, the Orinco truck drivers mention how they get crazy urges to drive fast as heck when driving through certain parts of Ludlow. I highly suspect that is the Wendigo at work pulling some mind control type stuff on them to cause the Orinco truck drivers to accidentally hit animals or in this case, a human. The more animals or humans that die the higher chances of someone eventually burying one of them in the Micmac burial ground. It makes sense.
I've read that when Stephen King was writing the book, his own kids were very young and after writing that particular scene, he put the manuscript in a drawer and didn't return to it for months. (and that was just **writing** it, long before it was published or a movie version was even a thought etc)
I remember watching this and always got sad. As an adult, this scene killed me cause my daughter, (when she was around Miko’s age here) looked like him 😭😭
Sometimes while I'm driving my work truck down the highway, I play this song on RUclips.
The truck driver has some taste like it
The Ramones favorite horror movie is probably Pet Sematary.
Shifting gears and blasting the Ramones is one badass way to go out.
