- Опубликовано: 15 окт 2024
- I was out of town this past weekend and didn't get out to metal detect. I decided to put together a compilation video of my top 5 greatest metal detecting finds of all time. It was hard to pick just 5, but I couldn't leave out any of the 5 in this video. In this video I dug my first Gold Coin, a 1793 Flowing Hair Chain Cent, War of 1812 Officers Belt Plate, a pewter Revolutionary War USA Army coat button, and a Linked States design George Washington Inauguration button. It's amazing having them all in a video together! Thank you for watching & see you next week!!

Curt, I've been a subscriber for many years, I've watched you you and the gang through thick and thin, from loads of coins and relics to absolutely nothing sometimes and I'll admit I've like all the videos and places you gone that I was able to watch you go and I've always thought you were a bit whiny, NO MORE and my sincerest of apologies'... but this video, this awesome video has made me gain a new level of respect and American pride for you my countryman. You sir are a true American Patriot, I can see it in the emotional looks on your face when finding these priceless pieces of our history as a early nation and I am proud to have you representing the metal detecting community with your videos of your personal adventures, Thank you for doing what you do to save American history. You sir are a real life superhero, never change, tow the line you are the most genuine person I've ever had the pleasure of watching. My hats off to you.
1868 Seated Half dollar, 1823 Capped Bust 50c piece, 1821 8 reale, 3/4 grooved archaic axe head, hand carved tiger eye gold inlay ring, my 5 greatest finds. Great video
At 4:29 there was another coin.
Awesome!
Fun show...nice to see Bobby and Brad. Tell them they are missed!
I just got a detector for the first time on July 5th. My best find to date? My wedding ring that I lost on July 4th in a field watching fireworks. Not exactly saving history, but monumental in preventing future hostilities - with my wife. ;-)
Thats awesome! Congrats
LoL. Happy wife... happy life.
@@silverlicious2086 you know it!
1. GW button 2. Revolution button 3. Chain cent 4. 1812 buckle and 5. Gold coin. Enjoyed the video.
My best find is not historical or reason to jump up and down for but means a lot to me. When I was 10 my grandfather was teaching me how to buck hay out in his field. When we got back to the house he realized that he lost his watch. We looked for a couple hours and never found it. Just last year I found it with my new metal detector! It was about an inch deep. He lost that watch about 45 years ago. Thanks for sharing your finds! I would be shaking with excitement as well!!
While the finds themselves are amazing, what will always supersede them is the memories made with incredible people. Enjoyed watching them all.
Thanks bro. Hope all is well
That's great Kurt. Nothing can be found setting at home. You deserve every one of your top 5.
My top 5 are collided CW Ringtail bullets, officer's eagle sword belt buckle, 5 Virginia CW coat buttons in one spot, militia eagle belt buckle and on Christmas Eve 2019 a trap tag of my father's 44 years after he died.
Wow, Kurt..I forgot about that Gold coin and chain cent finds. Congratulations...the look on your face on each find is priceless. You da man!!!
Wow, Kurt, those are some dandy finds! My five favourite finds are a silver Canadian quarter with King George V (1920s), a sterling class ring, a Queen Victoria Canadian large cent, one of my late father-in-law's bottle openers, and most of a flintlock boot pistol from the 1830s. 😁
Awesome!
I remember when you found all of those finds!!! I think my favorite is the George Washington button!!!! God Bless Us All!!!!
It’s nice to see Bob and Brad. Miss those boys!
Seeing these finds, and how excited and happy you were to find them, always makes me cry! I’m just so happy for you!
I had to watch your best 5 again! Your excitement is incredible!! Congrats Kurt!
I am crying with joy with you on these finds. Perhaps the others could share their best finds also.
I remember all the videos over the years! Absolutely stunning finds!!
Top notch finds! Congratulations on all them! Good to see Bobby.
Yes it is
Just an incredible example of why this is the greatest hobby in the world!!! You just never know what the next signal could be. Thanks for sharing!!!
Great to see these again. You deserved every single one of them. You put in the time bro.
1. GW button of course
2. Militia Belt Plate
3. USA button
4. Chain Cent
5. Gold coin (I thought it would be your US 1 dollar) but we all need some Brad in our lives. Funny I saw the notification while I was at work and I called all the finds. You must be one happy bastard
Your excitement is contagious!
I watched you guys for few years. Im waiting for my first detector in the mail. I love history and you guys are the best on RUclips. Always get fired up after watching your videos 😂
Awesome! Thank you for the support. Good luck out there
@@thehooverboys I’m a few hours south of Niagara Falls in Canada 🇨🇦 one day I’d love to come hunt In the states! Might start up a channel once I get going.
to be able to live in an area that has that much history under your feet just has me green with envy😭. the collection of historic artifacts just you alone have uncovered is staggering! lucky dog!
Top 5 is a tie for 1st place! Definitely epic finds of a lifetime!
Kurt, really incredible to see all these finds again. I've been sub'd to your channel long enough to remember these. And to see them all in one photo at the end of the vid is priceless.
Yes you have! I appreciate the continued support
Wow!...Just wow. The early American history lover in me is in awe! Thank you for showing this.
Hard to top any of them, Thanks.
No matter how many times I've watched the gold coin find, Andy's reaction always makes me laugh! EPIC!!!!
Always great to watch you guys across the big pond. Bit unfair to compare finds from there to here, we have history going back so many more years. My best finds 1: Silver Gilt whistle once owned by Henry VIII 2: 97 coin Silver Roman Hoard 141bc to 46AD 3: Penny of Coenwulf, King of Mercia 796-821 4: Roman Denarius of Otho 5: Nearly complete polished stone axe head 10,000bc to 4,000bc ... I am still waiting for my 1st Gold Coin though.
Glad you are able to get out with the fam on vacation! Loved this look back on your top finds. 🙂
I absolutely loved reliving these with you! Thanks for that.
Great Show! You have an amazing group of friends! Keep the shows coming!!!
Man, not only so much fun to watch but it gives inspiration to all of us detectorists that one day, that's going to be me,,,,Awesome,,,Thank You,,,

Kurt, wonderful to relive these amazing moments with you. No one deserves these great finds more than you - CONGRATS!!!
Much appreciated
Great trip down memory lane. Thanks for putting that together. Congrats again. Lets go find more.
Thanks!
Nice to see all the boys together
Congrats all over again, Kurt! It's fun to see this recap, even though I saw them all when originally published. One good thing about not having a flawless memory, is that Louis XV looks even more awesome than I remembered. 😎💯
Never get tired of watching you find these!!!!!❤
I was breathless right along with you!
My face is hurting from the smiles. Thanks.
Awesome finds brother thank you so very much for sharing hope you have a wonderful day 👍👍❤️
I remember all 5 of these episodes when they were new. I figured your first Trime would have made the list because you went back for all that dirt to dig up the tiny piece that broke off.
But, I do admit your 5 picks were pretty awesome. I'm still Jelly.
Thanks for sharing your adventures again. 😀
Now *that* is a Top 5! Blows my feeble mind! ♥
Holy crap! Ok listen to this. Yesterday I got a brand new metal detector. And I was watching some of your videos since it’s basically the same ones you use. Yesterday I watched the GW button video, and the hour long greatest compilations video. Which you don’t put compilations often. How much of a coincidence that I wake up and see that you posted this an hour ago. Lol
I believe that I’ve watched every episode during and since the lockdown and my favorites in order are: Flowing hair half dime, chain cent, USA button and 1561 hammered. Impressive stuff, boys.
Kurt you’ve been well blessed with several extremely rare finds! My greatest find to date is this show. Good to see some of the boys again… even if it was from the past. Well done sir!
EVERY SINGLE one of those give me chills just to see. All a detectorists dream right there. Me being primarily a coin collector, that chain cent is tops. I wouldn't know how to put em in order. Lol. Oof.....chills again. Lol.
bucketlist finds for most of us. Well done......another great vid
I found a ring exactly like that guy who u dropped the gold coin in his hand.
I remember all these finds. Thanks for all the years
Kurt, That’s awesome you still have them all.
I could never part with them
@@thehooverboys Everyone asks me how much my finds are worth, I tell them it doesn’t matter because I’m not going to sell the, lol. 🏋🏻♂️
Gold, Gold, GOLD, Always Gold!
1775 8 Reales, Victorian gold signet ring, 2 Oz Sterling Victorian butter knife, 1898 Barber half and 1843 British half farthing. This is my second year of detecting. Cheers from Bridgeport, Connecticut!
The fantastic five! Congrats Kurt 👊
Really enjoyed this episode! I was almost as hysterical as you, laughing my butt off.! You were adorable ! Pleased for you and happy all your efforts these years have rewarded you and us!
Thank you!

All holes matter!
AMAZING VIDEO!! I saw all these episodes and I feel just as gitty and heart racing as the first time I saw them!! The emotion and excitement is absolutely incredible! GL and hope to see more!!
Those were great finds watched all of those videos miss all the guys
I absolutely cannot believe how big those kids are getting! I’ve been there for every one of those finds and loved it all. Miss Bobby, Brad and Billy though. Those were all great finds!
Looking back was great, because I had forgotten about a couple of your finds, but the GW button, the Eagle belt plate, and the gold French coin were amazing. And I really enjoyed the excitement and joy you had, but what made you 5 top finds really special was seeing Bobby, and BRad, it’s just a shame Billy wasn’t in on those hunts. I do miss the old Hoover Boys! God Bless, and keep them coming, because “All Holes Matter”!
This video is AWESOME. You GOTTA do a video on all the gold coins between you Brad and everybody else. Keep it up man I look forward to Wednesdays just for these videos
Holy $@&*! I'm 61 and in decent shape, but if I personally ever dig ANY of those five I wouldn't see 62. Unreal Unreal Unreal. Nice to see Jason and his crew in the GW find video. He's a great dude and recently helped me identify my best find. A 1925 Charlie Chaplin Gold Rush movie premiere token. Hoover Boys, Quarter Hoarder Crew & Green Mountain... Best of the best!
Kurt this was absolutely awesome, stunning coins and belt plate
I remember watching those videos then and put me in the want for my own greats. Thanks for giving the drive bros to swing
Hey Kurt so Cool. The Hover Boys was one of the first channels I subscribed to. Watching all of you had been a lot of fun and you've taught me a lot in metal detecting with your videos. Kurt to see your top favorite finds to me awesome. A lot of us would of not ever seen these before. As for me it also gave me a history lesson that i love to learn. Kurt Congrats you deserve everyone of these finds. Can't wait to see you do it again sometime or any other of the crew. I get a kick out of how we turn into a kid that just walked into a candy store or getting that special gift the so much wanted wjen they open it up. The shakes excitement and shocked feeling we get when we find History like that. Take Care Kurt
Much appreciated! Thank you for the support
I’m sure there will be more great historical finds coming your way Kurt !
Congratulations on saving such valuable history and sharing it with us !

Your passion is addictive and the extent you guys go to get together and detect is amazing. Keeps me hoping my next beep is something more than a beer can or cap
Great finds! Nice to see the AT max did so well for you. Love mine!
Dang Bro , That is some fantastic historical items Kurt. At least you had your Friends around you to share your JOy with. One day you,, Bobby, Brad , Billy , and the rest of the crew need to take a few days off and go hunting together. Now that would be your Greatest Video. Bobby A
This top 5 list has got to be in a class of its own... congrats Kurt🍻
