That truck with the 2.7 liter isn’t currently available. With the V8 it’s $44k+ (w destination) as a 2024. I've owned a few short bed regular cabs over the years. They were great, powerful and comfortable. Ram had something like this until a few years ago. Chevy only makes them for Mexico /export. This truck could be cheaper yet if it weren't four wheel drive, I think that's a 5000 dollar option.

Not even remotely the same engine. The old 5.0L Windsor that your 98 Explorer has in it shares only displacement with the modern day 5.0L Coyote. The Coyote is a DOHC TI-CVT V8 the Windsor is a much simpler pushrod OHV setup.
Different 5.0. Your explorer is running a Windsor 5.0 (also known as the 302 Windsor, yes, that same Windsor from the 60’s mustangs, just updated and changed over the years.) The 5.0 in this particular truck Ben is reviewing is 5.0 Coyote, first produced in 2010 for 2011 model year mustangs and half tons. Your 5.0 is still a wicked motor, but they’re not related in anyway, other than sharing their displacement (5.0/302).
More like mid to high 13s. Hano Motorsports (RUclips channel) has a 2023 RCSB F-150 that he’s gotten into the 11s without boost or nutritious. I believe weight loss, exhaust, intake manifold, suspension work, wheels/tires and an E85 tune. Pretty wild.
All it needs is bigger tires. I would not change the wheels. If you are making A real sleeper a two wheel drive should be even better. Also, 2wd is reliable.

Do I review on the red truck in the video.
Insanely overpriced…
The average price of new cars sold is $48,000. Welcome 2024.
It’s the only way to get 400hp for less than $40k. Chevy/GMC gives an 4 cylinder turbo in its full sized regular cab short bed truck that costs exactly the same at $37k
You must be drunk!!! Overpriced with a 5.0 at 50k with a supercharger with warranty lmfao...you can go buy a crappy trx for 120k plus base mosel and get 100 less hp as well! I JUST ORDERED ONE 2 WEEKS AGO WITH FORDS EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT FOR 47K WITH THE SUPERCHARGER INSTALLED! 4x4 single cab...come rave me!😂
@@robedwards6911awesome man!
It’s funny because you’re poor 😂
Before you strap a blower to it get some brakes
42k was the MSRP for my 2013 fully loaded Big Horn in which I paid 34k. Looks like I be driving that to my grave.
I’m so confused
I’ve been watching other videos where these guys from some dealership say that with the supercharger the total price is less than 46k
But every other video I’ve seen shows different
4x2 truck is like 36/37k. That plus a supercharger gets you there.
yeah, not seeing anything worth more than 35k. "work truck" has too much bloat and the default crew cab display screen model is lazzy af
I agree I have owned 3 XL trucks and not wild at all about the camera and etc on my 24 . Anything to run the price up and I think the transmission is a pile of shit . We don’t need a 10 speed but I got a 5.0
Well for the same price GM gives you a 4 cylinder. There is no brand new full sized truck under $35k.
The plastic makes it tough especially the engine and it can't carry a camper too live in
44k still way too much
Wake up. We all have cell phones. We buy international
Toyota champ 10k deliver 2k mods 5k
It’s mine
Ford should have put turbos on the coyote motor to be in line with the rest of their engines.
Buy a used one with more options and add a supercharger to that instead.
Damn maybe I should become a salesman lol
Currency really isn't worth a damn now a days....
That’s true
Yep a light weight 400 plus hp truck in 4x4 would make a cool ride.
I have a ram BackCountry quad cab,and I'm at 5000 pounds.
3.92 rear and the 4 auto for launch I do 5 second 0 to 60 I have a magna flow exhaust and 18 inch rims.
I'm not wanting to mess up and blow a motor.
The most I will do is have it tuned.
Some dealers are offering the sleeper package for under $50k
those aren’t 4x4.. still a good deal in my opinion
ty for the review ... it's truly fun toy to drive but you're better of borrowing those keys instead of paying for em ;)
Still too high for most of us
My work truck is this same exact model and holy shit is it quick for a work truck. in sport mode this thing will snap your neck if you floor it between 4th & 5th😂
You right I wouldn't pay 43 k for that.
Love it but expensive. I laugh everytime people think it's weird being a single cab, if you were born before 2000 single cabs were normal and everywhere
Nice
Everything is great. Except the astronomical price.
Yeah I looked it up on a lot 40,000 just for truck
