i know its hard to think that because 3 is a bigger number than 2. but thats how it works. Being the 2nd best in the world is better than being the 3rd best.
I think they are judging on the shot that wins the point more than the play that leads up to the winning shot. Using that criteria, then no 2 is better than number 3.

Sinner's dive is great and athletic, but Marozan choked that point lol. Maybe he wanted to extend it and eventually win it in an entertaining way, but he ended up throwing himself up.
I don't see the connection between sinner diving and Hurkacz
Maruzsan played a safe shot into the open court from an awkward volley, believing that Sinner would not recover from the dive in time...in hindsight he was wrong...but that is down to Sinner, not Maruzsan choking. Yes he could have finished the point off more emphatically, but also more of a risk because of how the ball arrived to him, but he was quite right to assume that Sinner was out of the point at that stage...he played the percentages, and Sinner made the 5% chance of recovering that point work for him 😅
Edit: I said Hurkacz, but I meant Maruzsan
@aldobonaso3481 hurkacz volley wasn't rasy he did the beste he could, but still i dont understand what Hurkacz points has to do with sinner dives against marozsan and griekspoor
