Kazplay Videos how the head will work!!! So many things you have to do light removable horns light adjustable head that can rotate and or move forward and back... 😥😥😥 geez Girl you love your husband~♡ good luck can't wait to see how it turns out! 😍
Hi, I just wanted to leave a general comment about all your videos which I've been watching a lot lately, because they're so dang good! Such beautiful costumes and top-notch explanations. Your Concept and Design videos might be my favourite ones. It's fascinating to know what kind of thought processes go into the planning stage. You've inspired me to sculpt miniatures and make a garbage bag test of my current project (puppet/costume-hybrid zergling), and boy, has it been useful and fun. Thank you for all the tips and ideas, you're a champ.
Awesome video! I'm amazed at how much planning and knowledge in a lot of different areas goes into making one of these. Thanks for sharing your thought process and explaining everything in such detail.
Can't wait to see the head! As for neck vision, I have discovered that building the head on top of a baseball cap with the bill cut off is fairly comfortable. However, if you want to do any sort of exaggerated movement, you will need to rig straps under the chin. A lot of people choose to use rock climbing hats or bicycle helmets for this reason, because it's simpler. If you want a moving jaw, it may be a pain, and I haven't figured that out.
Looks like this is going to be a cool character. Interested in seeing how all of it comes to life. The horns might be a light enough. If you possibly try blue or pink insulation board from Home Depot or Lowes. It might give you the structure and sculpting ability. Along with being light weight.
I have certainly given insulation foam a thought! though it gets brittle if it's too skinny and must be reinforced with something, then that will add weight. So I think i'll go with hollow EVA foam horns!
For the horns, might i recommend XPS foam? (it comes in pink from home depot or blue from lowes) i'm using sandwiched XPS foam for my own giant swords and horns. they hardly weigh a thing. the material is extremely lightweight and cheap. it can also be carved smoothly with a hot-wire foam cutter, shaved with a surform shaver and it can be sanded as well with a 220+ grit sandpaper. also when finished, it can be primed with Plasti-Dip (wear a mask, ventilated area etc). it is insulation foam so wear a 3M mask and goggles when sanding it and be careful to clean up all the tiny bits. you don't want that dust getting on animal fur or anyone breathing it. one more important thing to note if you want to work with this material: research whatever glue you'd be using on it. acetone-based glues melt this stuff. oddly enough, "Glidden Gripper" brand primer/sealer paint works as a wonderful "glue" for XPS foam.
Nice, a big new project. Your sculpted head without the horns looks a little bit like an angry llama ;) If you can't set the weight of the head on the shoulders and with these big horns you might need some counterweights in the front to balance it out so that the horns don't pull the head back.
Kamui Cosplay recently posted a link to their cheap horn patterns for EVA foam on Facebook. I think this could be usefoal for lightweight horns. In Germany is a Bodypainter who works also with horses and glues them EVA Horns to the forehead with a kind of mask glue. I'm excited to watch your progress with this project. Thanks for sharing! And I saw a muscle suit out of EVA at Evil Ted, I think. Could also have been The Prop Shop he works with together sometimes.
I love kamui's work! And I am planning on making these horns out of EVA. I just know they are going to be BIG so I hope they don't end up being too heavy :). Ive seen the Eva foam muscle suit too, but I think I'll make the muscle suit out of upholstery foam and spandex to keep it flexible. Thank you so much for you comment!
This is going to look amazing!! you should try and watch Adam savage's Totoro costume build he made a shoulder harness for it so it would have the weight off his head. just an idea :)
What part are you most excited to see come to life?
Kazplay Videos definitely the head and face, always love seeing how the expression comes out

The head for sure!
I like the detailing part. Adding the little stuff that brings it all together

I’m curious where did you get the resin body.? The one you did the full body practice sculpt on?
I made it myself!

I'm so excited to see that, but there is no twitch link D:
Here's the link! and i fixed it in the description too: www.twitch.tv/kazulgfox thanks for catching my mistake!
The head. I'm interested to see how much it weighs when it's all said and done
I'm in love with the idea of art dolls and sculptures as a 3d reference, this would help with me a ton

Will you be also going to FC?
Yes I will be!

Hey quick suggestion, can you make a wendigo one day? I'm really interested in how it would turn out
I'd love to make a wendigo! I also plan to make the cleric beast from Bloodborne which looks like one :D
