  • Are you a collector or museum looking for a rare and unique piece of history? Look no further than this one-of-a-kind 1940 PT Boat Patrol Torpedo, PT8.
Built in 1940 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, PT8 is one of only two PT boats made of aluminum in the world. This magnificent vessel has seen service in World War II and is documented to prove it.
With a fully functional helm and a stunning original interior, PT8 is not just a historical relic, but a working boat that can still navigate the water with ease.
But don't let its age fool you. PT8 has been meticulously cared for and has undergone several upgrades, including reliable Detroit Diesel 16V-71t engines, new gearbox, shafts, bearings, propellers, air compressor, hydraulic system, heat exchangers, and a 1500-gallon fuel tank. Its hull was even replaced in 2000.
And the best part? PT8 is currently operational and ready for a new owner. It even comes with a trailer, although it will need new tires.
This boat could be used as an attraction at a marina, business, or non-profit organization. It was appraised in 2009 for over $3 million dollars and is currently for sale for $375,000 USD.
Owning PT8 is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as it is the only existing aluminum World War II PT boat in the world. Made of aluminum, it will not deteriorate like the few remaining wooden PTs.
PT8 is about 90% restored and if a buyer wished, gun turrets and torpedo tubes could be fitted to make it appear as it did in 1940.
If you are interested in purchasing this boat and need more information, call 458-262-5900 or email davoinnuevo@gmail.com. This boat needs a new owner and needs to be preserved for future generations. Shipping is not included, but the seller can assist in locating and loading the vessel. Call today. Buy PT8 now before it's gone. Tell your friends.#PT8ForSale

This PT was rejected in the "Plywood Derby" as aluminum was needed for aircraft. She sat in Baytown Texas for decades. She was originally under powered her sloped deck didn't allow enough weapons on board.

Someone needs to buy it and then donate it for the tax write-off at the 3 million-dollar appraisal!
Looks like a piece of art to me!
