There are many cases of children that die drowning in water by accident. That kid seemed like the type that is stubborn given that she disobeyed him and continued to play with water and didn't turn off the tap. Sometimes you gotta be strict, not extremely but to the point that your kids will understand what's wrong and what is right.
Hats off to Jackson and his way of handling

@@timelyferryIt takes 2 inches of water to drown an adult. It only has to cover your mouth and nose. It's so dangerous for little kids to be in the bathroom unsupervised. I'm not very often in favor of scaring kids, but in cases like this? Fear is good.

I don't want to be seen as rude and i hope this is not portrayed as being rude but i think it was necessary to do that because he is teaching them that actions have consequences. Did you see how close they were to the water. Imagine if one of them fell and drowned because they didn't see anything wrong with playing with water. I think it was appropriate in that situation. Plus they are kids one wrong move and something terrible may happen. I am kind of happy that he scolded them because some parents just let kids do whatever they want and accidents occur. That kid who hid behind the door 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 also, Jackson really is going to be a great dad. He's going to be strict so measurably like he can control teenage children easily with innovative ideas and still be their best friends because in the end, he'd express his love for them as well :) ❤️

Professional tip: give the kid a countdown of when he/she will be turning off the water. Ask if they want to turn it off in 3 seconds of 5 seconds. Count it down with them in a playful manner and even play WITH them while you do it. If they do not choose 3 or 5 seconds or do not do it in the time frame you have given, give them a consequence. "If you do not turn off that water, you will be going straight to your room/no tablet". OR if they want to play with water, SHOW them how to appropriately play with water. Teach them to ASK to play with water. Grab a bucket, take it outside, and play WITH them. If it's too late/you're not able to supervise them with the water outside, then give them options: it's too late, we'll play tomorrow/we can play in 10 minutes, but how about you play with your (favorite toy) while you wait and put on a timer. Follow through with whatever you say (MEAN what you say).
Many times, adults use fear again a child to gain CONTROL of a situation, but what they end up doing is showing a kid they to listen to us, not question us, DUE to fear. Always give kids choices and reasons why something can't be done.
This isn't Jackson's kids, but it seems as if the parents for these kids aren't giving them proper guidelines, limits.

Honestly, this is just a variety show. These're not his kids. He can just played happily with the kids. He didn't have to teach them so seriously. He did this only because He is responsible and he really loves these kids.

There are many instances when you can use a good explanation and some positive reinforcement to teach kids. However, some lessons need something stronger if the child is not yet old enough to understand the gravity of the situation. Not petty adult demands but actually dangerous situations. Imagine if one day, she plays in that tub and slips or even drowns while in it?
Jackson's technique is great. He didn't criticize the child on a personal level but focused on the action. He kept the child safe the entire time. He showed stern authority but he also comforted her after the lesson is learned.

see... he did great at not getting angry... but what worked for my kids & nephews/nieces is agreeing water playtime at a later stage "I don't want you playing with water when I'm not here, but when I'm finished with X, Y or Z thing, we can come up and play with water later... maybe we can take a bath and play more" but for not being a father he did his best.

As a mom of 2 rambunctious toddlers, this is the PERFECT way to handle this situation. Toddlers have no impulse control or sense of empathy, BUT they do have a strong connection and desire to please their guardians, so if you place very stern but respectful boundaries and let them experience natural consequences and explain things to them calmly but firmly, then they will get it and will listen. No need to yell, or berate or hit them. Just be the grown up and show them what is expected and reward their good behavior. ❤

Jackson scared me at first. But I understand why he took such a stern position with MeowMeow. Either she or Haohao could've drowned from playing in tub water. He was trying to protect them and keep them alive. Jackson is going to be a great father to his child(ren).👑
