I thank you for doing the manowar albums(that word shows my age lol). Always thought Manowar was a special band. I put them up there with Sabbath and older Judas Priest not because they sound similar but their music gave me that unique metal feel. I've seen about 100 metal concerts in the 90s. Never seen these guys. They were just never in the US that i knew of. Europe is their metal home unfortunately. Peace out be safe
I always had the impression that Number 1 song is something like We Are the Champions from Queen :D As I said in the previous album reaction, they still have a lot of good songs, but overall weaker albums, and I think that with the next albums, if you will continue, you will be in shock. Anyway, thank you for sharing this journey with us. It's like listening to them for the first time again :-)
This album was pure metal banging. Your "problem" is you are not fan of slow(er) or ballads song, I love it and I cant wait on every album to hear it, same with tempo changes, from loud to quiet, from fast to beautiful... That was always Manowar. I think one more think which is "minus" for you is, that you hear album after album, which is great, but in the same time it can be "too fast*. You know it was different when I had to wait 4 or 7 years for new album, it was fucking feast when it got out... After all that waiting
oh for sure. This was my first time hearing the album, but I always give the albums a fair chance with multiple spins before giving my real rating. I'll be going over the whole discography on my own time after I hear all the albums, and finally do a ranking. And yeah I don't usually dig the slower or ballad type songs but every once and awhile, they land for me.
Some of my favourite Manowar albums are coming up. There is some fluff on them ,but after the first listen I just edit that out and the remainder is pure gold. Enjoy.

If I go to the gyn this is one of the first ones that comes to my mind. The lyrics are so fantastic for the gym training.
Note:
The song King was a tribute to John Kalodner, the man who signed Manowar to Geffen records.
oh cool
