Such a unique sound with awesome rock vibe. Love this dudes voice
They come back 10 years after of their last appearance and still em are legends of the British music we're so proud of them Alex got better about his laryngitis amd thats cool. We love u guys
They were at Reading last year
@@LukeHB21 And they're not legends. lmao
@@lee5150 Who are legendary bands in your view?
@@lee5150they’re come out in 2005 and now they’re still the 54th most heard position on spotify
pretentious bollocks
honestly it's funny how Alex having laryngitis made his Sheffield accent come through more on this track
Even with laryngitis he still sounds amazing I don't know why people are complaining. Like he's getting older his voice is changing and he's sick just be grateful you even got to go
His voice is amazing. ♠♠I thought this was one of the best performances at Glastonbury. People like to grizzle don't they...
I was grateful to be there but upset that I chose to watch this self indulgent arsehole for an hour
EVERYONE IS GETTING OLDER, SO IN MOST CASES OBVI AND 37 Y.O. WON'T SOUND THE SAME AS THEY WERE WHEN SINGING STUFF RECORDED AT 19 + IF THEIR SOUND HAS CHANGED
@@samantastrautina6694 I think they sound so much better now though. And they sound better live than on CD or record-imho.
@@blackwingvalleylover YES! But i just HATE that some are BASHING him in a way that I've seen to similar videos as basically they want 37 y.o sound like 19! BUT HE does sound good! Love him! I love you, keep going ❤️
RU Mine always slaps so hard and this is a fantastic performance, love the second encore of the chorus, they also did it at London night 2, it was fantastic live.
Their Gladstonbury 23’ set was the first time I’ve seen them. BLOWN AWAY!!!! Haven’t stopped listening to them since. Gutted I missed their tour in the UK. AMAZING! ❤
i actually feel bad for you cause the glastonbury 2023 performances fo theirs were some of the worst ever
Trying to see them live for about 17 years now. Greets from Germany :D You're one lucky little mofo, my dear!
This song is absolutely everything. Those drums and his voice.
His voice? You messin?? Sounds like George Formby ffs😂
his voice is ass rn
Thank you BBC Music for uploading these.... very much appreciated.
dont be shy put the whole show
God , please dont.
Never get tired of this tune😆😆Sucks that Alex had to perform straight after suffering from laryngitis though.
I know right
he’s my everything.
Look at a performance before he got laryngitis and it’s still lacking in energy.
@@underneonloneliness2 lacking in energy? he’s giving his all here. I was there and it was a bloody ripper gig.
@@pretzelwagonn Come on now. Watch the 2013 Glastonbury performance then go and watch the 2023 one again. It’s like night and day.
4:29 the excitement that's built from this simple frame ❤️
He was through a recovery of laryngitis for those people wondering why his voice sounded bad or with low tempo
I have always loved how the voice sounds with those little "imperfections" that make it unique and human ❤
I thought his voice was really good yesterday considering his conditions.
alex still amazing Even when he was through recovery of laryngitis
I was devastated when they had to cancel the Ireland tour
Sounds fine to me
Song is phenomenal. I'm a Lil older, grunge is my era. These guys are legit!
More power to Alex and the monkeys. you deserve the world for the music you've given out to the world. Hope Alex recovers fully.
That was an exceptionally good live performance. Reminds me of the 90s. Fantastic music, phenomenal voice & lyrics
Please post more from this set!! Or the whole thing!! 😍
My band! ❤ Fab as always. Kudos to Al for performing so soon after his recurrent laryngitis. Who cares if he sounds off or slow at some point. They can do opera for all I care I'll still love them. Matthew is superb as well!👌🏽
They really brought it to Glastonbury and the tour has been awesome! Arctic monkeys are forever! Not bad for 4 lads from Sheffield!🤟
They’re shite
He’s a massive bell end. That’s the problem. Used to be a good kid from Rotherham. Now he comes out dressed out like elvis 😂🤦🏻♂️
His voice is amazing!!!
I find it funny how the perception changed. What made them cool and interesting when they first came up is what annoys people now. Weird tempo changes mid set, messing up, the ironic out of place outfit choices and awkward stage behaviour is what made them stand out as not taking themselves or the music business too seriously. The only difference, they are no longer working class kids from suburbia but an established band now.
Exactly. The whole point of songs like Teddy Picker and Fake Tales was about pretending to be something you're not and only making music to please the masses. You see glimpses of that same idea in A Certain Romance and Sculptures. They never changed their stance and have always made music they wanted to make and didn't start crowd pleasing. They have only gotten better musically through the years and have pretty much always defied expectations with every new album. It baffles me that the people complaining now are still living in that 2007 era or 2013 AM era and just don't bother trying to see how much they've established themselves now. It's understandable if these people are only interested in rocking out and that's the only genre they enjoy, but instead of admiting that themselves they just completely disregard that the band doesn't want to go that way anymore and dismiss that decison as getting old or "losing it". That says a whole lot more about the listener than the band.
@@aionw0w or to quote:
Said, "I'm not like you and I don't want your advice
Or your praise or to move in the ways you do and I never will"
'Cause all you people are vampires
And all your stories are stale
And though you pretend to stand by us
I know you're certain we'll fail
@@MrMt67859 beautiful. And the fact that they stand by these words to this day is what to me makes them a generational bunch.
People saying they've sold out when they've done projects that are as unorthodox as it comes with their last 2 album releases never fails to make me laugh.
They weren't that cool and interesting when they first came up though. They were standard from the get go.
Just saw them last night at Glasgow Bellahouston park and they were INCREDIBLE and his voice seemed fully recovered 🙌🥳
They smashed it! Travelled from Yorkshire to Glasgow for the final show of the tour 🔥🔥🔥
he sounded incredible and performed so well loved it
I was there too was an absolutely amazing night I'm happy everyone enjoyed it as much, they killed it with the performance of body paint!
I cannot play this loud enough!!!
One of the highlights of their set at Glasto 2013. Cracking tune.
I’ve been following them since 2007, saw them live a couple of times and I still don’t get the criticism about this show. Considering he was sick, it was wonderful.
They r always fucking brilliant
Conteplem, umas das melhores bandas da história do rock!!!
VIDA LONGA AOS MONKEYS!❤
In a helluva long list 👍
Long live the Sheffield boys indeed
Magnificent 🎉
Arctic monkeys are never losing their charm LOVEDDDD IT
Thanks for sharing. God bless you.🇧🇷
His voice is amazing… what’s everyone talking about???
True! His voice sounds amazing here, but what is weird is the the tempo of what he is singing. Originally it's more "fast" and here It sounds like he's slow
@@jojorodit's cuss he is sick
@@lilili765 exactly! I Hope he is recovering well ❤️

kudos to the band members for this performance... i think drummer is really multi talented hes doing both back vocal and drumming at the same time

How come nobody in Jamaica told me about them !! Hey these guys are great 👍☮️❤️👉 Straight ahead, good luck from Woodstock nation
Getting to watch him in Clockenflap was one of the best experiences (my friend lost her id amidst dancing and i just sang along so theres also that)
What a band
His voice is amazing here, but sounds like he's in slow motion...
I hope he recovers soon! ❤
The first song i listened to them was do i wanna know i loved the guitar and lyrics in that song then i listened to the full album and i was just like damn i need more so now im just slowly listening to all theyre albums and i love theyre music so much now my fav song is r u mine or knee socks
It’s an old band and there change in sound(Albums) is good as it gives more variety and I love that.
I saw a bunch on comments about not being able to sing on beat but I think it’s kind of special when bands and artists put their own twists on their songs, keeps it refreshing for them! Must be a drag to sing the same songs for years!
@scrambledmegs7675 They`ve been a drag for years.
@@ponyboycurtis9345you’re a drag, a well known-drag, we turn the sound down on you and say rude things

an anthem of a generation
Wow! Their stadium sound is so good!
mixed like 💩listen to the 2013 live
How anyone can say this was a poor performance is unfathomable to me. I was front left and thought it was absolutely incredible. I guess it's the difference between being in the crowd and watching at home on the sofa
I’ve been in a Arctic monkeys crowd and watched at home,
In person it’s 10x worse, they used to make good music and are terrible live
Spot on
@@conekiii4211I also saw them this year. They were perfect
@@elnurmahmudov5188 then you should go get some standards, 0 crowd interaction, forgets the lyrics, out of sync with his whole band, turner is a mess
THEY ARE AMAZING AS ALWAYS😍 As i know they have been touring too before it, cant believe how much they were tired but still, they did an amazing job as always😍🥰 Alex's voice is just 💥🧡
How is it possible that he is more handsome now than before? 😮😮
AM era is when he was the sexiest 😍 but now he is still very good looking
Honestly you can't even tell Alex is sick, this was great
Nothing to see here, just the best band on the planet.
This version is diabolical. He brings up the culmination, and stops soaks it in and go for it agian, he pauses again and kills it.
cry about it bro its amazing, just you lack actual musical knowledge go listen to taylor swift if you dont want actual rock its fine bro
Absolutely incredible
I'm a puppet on a string
Tracy Island, time-travelin' diamond cutter-shaped heartaches
Come to find you four in some velvet mornin' years too late
She's a silver linin', lone ranger ridin' through an open space
In my mind, when she's not right there beside me
I go crazy 'cause here isn't where I wanna be
And satisfaction feels like a distant memory
And I can't help myself
All I wanna ever say is, "Are you mine?"
Well, are you mine?
Are you mine?
Are you mine? Oh, ah
I guess what I'm tryin' to say is I need the deep end
Keep imaginin' meetin', wished away entire lifetimes
Unfair we're not somewhere misbehavin' for days
Great escape, lost track of time and space
She's a silver linin', climbin' on my desire
And I go crazy 'cause here isn't where I wanna be
And satisfaction feels like a distant memory
And I can't help myself
All I wanna ever say is, "Are you mine?"
Well, are you mine? (Are you mine tomorrow?)
Are you mine? (Or just mine tonight?)
Are you mine? (Are you mine? Mine?)
And the thrill of the chase moves in mysterious ways
So in case I'm mistaken, I
Just wanna hear you say, "You got me baby"
"Are you mine?"
(Are you mine tomorrow?)
Are you mine? (Or just mine tonight?)
Are you mine? (Are you mine? Mine?)

The laryngitis performance!
Alex gutted it out cause he knew headlining Glastonbury’s pyramid stage for a 3rd time was special.
Sigma Alex 🗿
I'm seeing them in September and I'm so fucking excited
The band's, but particularly Alex's talent is astounding
god I hope the sound was better live. this sounds like it was recorded with one mic in front of alex while everyone else played down the hallway
FANTASTIC!!
Keep coming back to relive this awesome night. THE MONKEYS ARE BACK ON THE FARM!
Pure class 💯
😂
ROCKED IT HARD !!! Badass 👏👏👏🇺🇸❤️🔥🇬🇧👏👏
Ow yeah new very high quality live video
The people complaining about Arctic monkeys brilliant set at Glastonbury should have given me their ticket!!! Alex Turner was his usual drole self, and throwing little quips at the audience that definitely seemed to go way over the heads of the mostly young crowd LOL LOVED all the new songs and thought their set was FANTASTIC.
Well, to have had laryngitis I think the performance was pretty great. One of those performers who does not need auto tune
❤🔥🙏
A meandering sound filled the air god I need to get out for a walk! QUICK.
Yeeeessssss❤❤❤
The temp change here is completely intentional; Alex did it for the whole gig and most live shows now. My theory is he’s bored of playing the old songs exactly the same, and this new way of singing is how he sings throughout The Car.
Yeah the same thing that i notice
Wich is a bad thing why he keep changing the rythm and the speed of the songs he ruined it honestly like 505,four out of five and a lot of other songs are changed and became not close to the original 😥
I love you 💓
This song hits so hard
FULL SHOW please
yeaah♡♡♡
chills..
The best. Wish I was there
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 still on fireeeeeeee
Sometimes I feel he doesn’t relate to these songs anymore. He just sings them. But there was a time when he’d sing this one and Do I Wanna Know and it just came from a different place, like a ghost of something was lingering. Now he just sings them without any feeling. He’s more invested when he sings Body Paint
I mean to be fair sometimes it feels like he’s just emptily singing Body Paint or songs like that. I also sort of blame it on the fact that he’s just basically overplayed a lot of their hits to the point where it becomes unenjoyable for an artist to play what an audience from 2013 considers their “best work.” I’ve read stories of different artists that start to grow bored of repeated set lists
The audience expects them to sing the same songs over and over, so no wonder
@@person7896 The audience pays them a fuckload of money though
@@dumblecore sure
@@emmanuelortega922 I think AT has outgrown the songs from AM. He doesn't relate to them. I mean Coldplay and The Killers and other bands still sing their biggest hits (which they have played more times than anything Arctic Monkeys have played, except I Bet You Look Good perhaps) better than what this was.
Why do you always upload the same track
best love them
bro- i watched him live 3 days ago and he was so much better than here, im not saying he's bad here but he was so much more engaged and happy i find

Very very good
amo a los monos, siempre serán mi banda favorita ❤
I just don't understand why people keep being critic / upset with their gig at Glanstonbury, I think that most of those people just listen them on spotify and do not watch any of their live concerts.. this year I followed their tour and I think they are really playing on fire right now, also considering Alex's laryngitis. In my opinion they set the bar higher with respect to the last album tour (Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino). Oh, and for the "slow" Fluorescent Adolescend and Mardy Bum... the fact they inserted them in the setlist after a decade should be considered a gift to the very fan of this band.. thank God they did not play A Certain Romance though
whyd you say that aboit a certain romance. i don’t understand. are you suggesting it isn’t good live now. i saw it at sheffield and it was my highlight of the night
Disagree slightly with just being thankful for them including a song in the set when it's done in the same lethargic tempo as the new record... I was thrilled they brought out Fluorescent in their Stockholm gig this spring, but for me it lost some of the magic when the pace wasn't what I had hoped for, as it would have made it stand out more from the other stuff! Now, it's all subjective and ultimately their decision and they ought to do what feels best for them -- just as we in the crowd ought to have the right to voice our opinion, however little it is worth!
Surely a typo about A Certain Romance.
Fantastic 👍🎈🎈🥰
