Thank you for this video and for our in-person visit with the EKKO. The Brewery Lovers can't wait to hit the road in our own EKKO, discovering America, one brewery at at time.
Great video! You got the Top Ten in just over 6 minutes👍 I think Winnebago hit a home run, but time will tell if the Cassette Toilet is embraced like they do in Europe. Also, I think a big accessory to RVs will be Ebikes, which can be large, but that is where foldables come to play, which will fit nicely in the garage along with a griddle. My hesitancy is the Travato is accepted everywhere a van is, including downtown parking and tailgates, where the EKKO is clearly an RV, which can restrict parking, especially as an Urban Cowboy. But that extra room sure is beneficial. Either way, it is great that Winnebago is offering a choice. 👍
Actually, the EKKO has virtually the same physical footprint as a van which means that any standard parking spot could be used. I had a WGO Trend (which is slightly larger than the EKKO) and often parked in standard ground-level downtown lots. Since the EKKO is taller than a van, one would obviously need to avoid downtown parking garages...
Thanks Steve, I’m still at least five years away and will be new to RV Urban Cowboy. My heart is with the EKKO due to size and storage, but my mind says Travato due to, mainly, parking anywhere a van can go. I’m sure I will rent both before I purchase. But if I feel I can do most everything I want in an EKKO instead of Travato, then it will be EKKO.
About time we have this design in North america. But its far from new. This exact design has been a very good seller in Europe for years, and on the Mercedes 4X4 plateform.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but EVERY turbo engine is going to have carbon build-up problems...some may take longer than others to materialize, but it's the nature of the beast.
Great question and the answer is YES, here at Colonial we are a Lithionics dealer and the EKKO has room at add a 2nd Lithium battery while still keeping the generator on board!
Yes, the air conditioner will run off the Lithium batteries through the inverter. The secondary alternator will fully charge the batteries in 2-3 hours while driving.
Is it also to plug in a 1 burner induction cook top near the stove and run it off the inverter ? I want both gas and induction options while boondocking.
This thing needs 2 theater seats instead of those extra travel seats with seats belts. Maybe even facing sideways. Gotta have something comfy to kick back and relax. Only thing missing!. The 4 seats in the front don’t fit the bill! 👎
So sad , add 20 inches, dry bath, and fire the decor designer… Benches stitching, the flooring , walls and the countertop’s color…. Should have a skylight, and it would be game changer …
It’s just so God ugly. If they could’ve encapsulated that into a true all metal body class B RV, great. But by creating that RV exterior. It takes away everything that a true class B is and tossed it, so it is a class C which is anything but classy or good looking. That’s just simple fact.
This Class C certainly scores high in most areas but why did Winnebago shortchange the toilet to an inconvenient cassette??! You can walk the cassette thru the cold and rain when you forget. Poor design for the big $$$
@@Surf422 Who in their right mind would bring in a loaded cassette into a public bathroom ie. McDonald’s or similar. I can just see it now! Stopped up toilets and endless flushes wasting water!!
True. Also, if offloading your waste into a small portable tank is a bonus you need, those tanks are available for use with whatever size RV you have. See these tanks all the time in areas where there are no RV sewer connections provided at the sites.

Awesome! Sounds like a great way to get out and explore!

Great insights with these comments
"sought after" because dealers started taking deposits in Nov 2020 and Winnebago has delivered two of them thus far.
The rotating bath wall is cool.
Yes, it's a great way to save space.
I want one!!!! The best of all RVs combined!!!!👍👍👍
And yes we are from the same generation!😉
Thanks for watching Steve!
Great dealership. I’m very happy with my Solis bought from Colonial but naturally I have to consider the Ekko next!
I mean technically I’m converting my bus into a little RV but if I was going to buy one this would definitely be very high on my list.
About time we have this design in North america. But its far from new. This exact design has been a very good seller in Europe for years, and on the Mercedes 4X4 plateform.
I’ve yet to see a video of the pop top. Where is it?
I love it, except the price tag.
Also very high on my list are the size of the fridge/freezer and the 50+-gallon fresh water and gray water tanks.
Nice video...so what is lead time for one of these?
Really nice….they need to beef up those garage locks, it’s gonna be a target with how many toys I’ll have in there.
If it was available with the Ford 3.2 diesel and adaptive cruise control I would buy one
The Ekko does have Adaptive cruise control, but the 3.2 diesel would be nice!
This is awesome! But... Ford needs to upgrade the Transit with the Gen-2 Ecoboost. The Gen-1 Ecoboost has serious carbon buildup problems.
Thanks for your input!

Let's talk about that watch!
😂
Robert, can another lithium battery be installed if the generator option is onboard?
Great question and the answer is YES, here at Colonial we are a Lithionics dealer and the EKKO has room at add a 2nd Lithium battery while still keeping the generator on board!
Can you run the air conditioner directly off the inverter ? How fast does the secondary alternator recharge the lithium house batteries ?

6 inches of ground clearance is nothing!!

Nice video. Dreaming to own this kind motorhome but I have children. The bed is look like for two person only.🤨
The rear bed can be converted into one larger bed and can sleep 4. There is also a pop-top option for additional sleeping accommodations.
I have to ask you about your watch! Which brand and model is it? :)
It is a DIESEL watch!
GROUND CLEARANCE, where is the ground clearance?!

It needs at least 10 inches of ground clearance , but has only 6.
Cassette toilet that you will need to empty every day, how wonderful...

Calling it a class C doesn't make it so. It's a B+.

It's so you can like dump it in the McDonalds bathroom if you want and not have to drive around

A portable black tank is just a “waste” of precious storage space!!
