My sisters and I loved loved loved her when we were young. We would watch Elvira, Mistress of the Dark all the time cause she is so funny! So in 1991 she comes to our town at a local bar and my dad so happen to be there and he asked if she would call his young daughters cause they all love her and she did, she called us and said “hello” and was such a sweetheart. She sounds exactly the same as elvira which is surprising. I kinda thought her natural voice would be different. I was 5 when elvira mistress of the dark came out.
My heart broke when I heard she would no longer be doing any Knotts Berry Farm appearances, right when I was finally ready to save up and have enough time to make it for 2018. Oh, well. At least I can get her new boo-tiful book. Also, Abe wasn't kidding about Elvira being worshipped as a goddess. I have her movies, several of her t-shirts, and a long poster spread which hangs seductively high up on my bedroom wall as an item of idolatry.
Larry King just belts out questions off a card with little or no interaction or back and forth conversation. Her answer to the trick or treat question "More than a handful that's for sure!" was so funny and blew right by him, like he's not even listening to her answers. His style has always irritated me.
