So jealous. We have camped and visited there many times, not seeing monkeys.

I agree, we love Silver Springs, especially the real glass bottom boats.
Unfortunately, people do feed the monkeys and leave food on the ground.
I loved the museum and the town and school.
Rumor is they are going to make a pathway from the campground to the park.
And at the park store is where I bought my Florida Passport Book ❤️

No need to be jealous. Head to Morgan Island SC and 4000 monkeys are waitin for you.
I went on the glass bottom boats and saw gators, manatees, snakes, a whole family monkeys (there just have been over 30), turtles, and all kinds of fish….. it was awesome. A couple weeks later I’m riding down the road a few miles east of the park and a big monkey ran across the road.
Florida has some of the best state parks we have been to. We will add this one to our list of parks to visit next time we are in Florida. Thanks for another great video!

lol, you could but....also, I have seen those monkeys jump in the river from the trees!!

We got 9 and that's only because I kept checking over and over for a cancellation! We just made the reservation Tuesday. We didn't realize the campgrounds stayed so booked. Lol! ~Paige

Wish I could understand it. Been in FL almost 40 years and cannot enjoy the same vies on so many of these trails here. Swamps are very critical to have but challenging to behold, IMO. It always looks like the same moss covered oak trees and lillypad-covered swamps everywhere you turn. Ever been to Yellowstone or the Great Smoky Mountains or Glacier? The whole state of Florida couldn't hold a candle to any of these parks.
we were just there and exactly at the spot where you saw the monkeys on the trail but no sightings for us. note the museum was closed due to renovations. great kayaking for sure
When we were there, I think they had just reopened the museum. I hadn't seen them on the trail either so we were caught off guard ourselves! Thanks for checking it out!!

The sites are great hear and well maintained, but you're better off getting one with sewer.
I don't mind the dump station, so I prefer the best view I can get w space. Although if I am there a whole week, I am with you then!! :)
Was there a certain trail to see the monkeys? Are they near the campground?
We were on the swamp trail and it is near the campground!

Hi Kim, if you go back on the video, at the end of the trail, I point to a map showing you the route of the trail and I say the exact place we saw the! Let me know if you find it ok in the video :)

Is there a swimming spot?
There really isn't a place to swim at Silver Springs. They allow the glass bottom boats and kayakers only at the spring-head area. I see you are a new subscriber, welcome to our channel!! We have a "Top 10 Springs in Florida" episode you might enjoy, have you seen that one yet?
