What Kyle doesn't tell you in this video is that Node-RED is a rabbit hole that will take over your life. One day you are a ham radio operator, the next day you start playing with Node-RED, and from that day forward you are a Node-RED programmer. You spend your free time writing Node-RED flows and drinking Red Bull. You start out with one or two flows to solve a problem that you have had for ages. Then, you discover some new shiny looking flow that you must have to complete your dashboard and you spend weeks getting it just the way you like. Then another, then another. Then, you set up a Jira page to track all of the bugs in your flows and you assign yourself tasks to go fix them. In the process of fixing those bugs, you make more bugs, hence more Jira tickets. There is no time for ham radio anymore. The dashboard has to be perfected before the next contest. Darn, you didn't make it. Well, there's always the next one. You, my friend, are a Node-RED programmer. Kyle, great presentation!

Thanks Kyle. The power of Node Red is insane and endless. I wish to use it for radio and for some home automation stuff at home.
    Excellent presentation! 👏 🍻🤠

Man, you moved a lot of people up the learning curve on Node Red, and I’m one of them. Thank you, Kyle.

Kyle, great presentation! Since you were recording, It would be nice if you would repeat the question before answering. I am working on the Contesting Dashboard for our Field Day. Thanks for your work.

Thanks for this presentation. I got into node red after one of your presentations a year or so ago. I have a really useful set of flows for controoling my antenna switching, Elecraft atu and amp etc. It is all running on Node Red v2.2.2. My question...will the flows I already have run on Node Red v3.1 without modifications to the flows? Trying to decide if I want to bother updating to v3.1 or not, since it is working just fine on v2.2.2.

3.0.2 is the latest and it shouldn't be an issue to upgrade.
