How are these holding up? I spoke to kryptonite about the ones they had that look identical to these but they discontinued them 3 years ago. They said that they were causing binding issues and needed constant maintenance because the parts would loosen or fall out. Now he did say that was on newer body styles. So I that could be lml and newer up til 2019. Idk
I just did this on my stock ride height 2016 lml with 33x11.5 tires on 20" wheels and I can say that I could not tell the difference in the steering much at all. Pretty time consuming job, and not really worth it in my opinion.
How many threads were sticking out or if any at all on the big nut for the pitman arm? I did mine and there isn’t a lot of threads really and nut is tight.
Kinda bothered me a little bit to it’s not a motor it’s a steering gearbox I’ve never heard of it being referred as a power steering motor but what do I know right lol
Did you have play in your steering wheel before this mod? I have replaced my steering gear box 8 times and with 2 brand new gear box not reman in my 03 Silverado. And had every suspension part replaced. And had 5 alignments but after all that i still have bad slop in steering wheel. Any help is appreciated
There is a wobble joint (looks like a u-joint kind of used for the tilt function) in the actual steering column inside the truck you should check if you still have play after all of the upgrades. Also check the intermediate shaft and plastic bearing. The wobble joint can be tighten with torx socket, just be careful not to tighten it too much or the joint wont want to move and bind.
Will The link for the brackets you left in the description fit for a 2008 lmm I’m about to install some new arms and was thinking about adding these support brackets as well ?
I had the same BDS lift on my 08 dmax for about 4 years and I decided to upgrade my front end with a solid axle swap, I was sick and tired of GM junk IFS
I know I said this before but, you know a lot of shit about cars and trucks my friend! 😲 By the way, thank you for the Hellcat cold start I needed that. 🚬
Much better steering for the duramax. This is a must have mod for all duramax trucks!
Driveway Demons great video as always!
Driveway Demons Great Video I'm glad the MadMax's Steering is much better

legend has it he's still calling it a power steering motor.
Man the underbelly of my LLY has never been that clean and shiny. Of course mine hits the dirt and mud like a boss!
Thanks for the tips - made the replacement a lot easier!
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching Justin.
How is the truck holding up ?
Bought 15” Crescent wrench from Harbor Freight. It works on pitman bolt. $13 with coupon.

It's a pry bar...
That's a steering box, not a power steering motor, city people...
leebob86 I’m not a city person. I’m from NC. That’s what some people call it, others call it a steering unit.
Man shut up! Guys working on his own truck sharing a video with everyone so who cares what he calls the steering box.
Bro you have a driveway and a car? I grew up in a ranch in Mexico with only dirt and cows in sight. You are literally a city person too lol.
Kinda bothered me a little bit to it’s not a motor it’s a steering gearbox I’ve never heard of it being referred as a power steering motor but what do I know right lol
Now this is something my truck needs!
The 1 3/4" was too small because its smaller than your 1 7/8". You most likely needed a 1 15/16" wrench. Great vid gonna have to do this to mine
Thanks for watching bro! Definitely do it. Makes the steering so much better
Its actually metric pretyy sure its supposed to be 34mm
It’s definitely metric, grab some calipers and measure if you’re unsure
This looked like a really tough install. Good job. I definitely wouldn't be able to do it lol
Lol your honesty its awesome 😂

I had some movement. After these it made the steering much tighter
@@DrivewayDemons Alright thanks!

@@Thebone4040 is this true on a 2015 2500hd my wheel has a lot of play and it drives me nuts
Try steering box adjustment?

Men the hellcat sounds aMazing !! 🙌🏼👍🏼🚀
Congrats on the car show win!!
Awesome work on mad max 👍
Will this work on a fabtech lifted truck?
Yes it will.
I know I said this before but, you know a lot of shit about cars and trucks my friend! 😲 By the way, thank you for the Hellcat cold start I needed that. 🚬
Why’d you get rid of the Durango? It got you maybe the most views on your channel
McGraw 223 it was time to move on. It did ok but not the most.
I agree, last winter you where doing so well with the type R videos were getting a lot of views and the durango.
My best video was the news on the hellcat ram. RUclips isn’t notifying my subscribers of videos. That’s why the views are dropping.
Now your just stuck with this giant douche bag truck.
What is the purpose
You want the Kobalt. The Ion battery, they have killed it over shit Dewalt.
You forgot 1 5/16 as my Duramax was.
Oh yea correct. There is a few different sizes
Blah, blah.
