Lovely recording of a Suite that has brought much pleasure to this listener over the years. To me, this performance, more recently recorded than the other version uploaded in the channel's Czech playlist, has a slightly different "feel". In Church, for instance, as well as eschewing the organ, seems to me to have here a slightly more "timeless" or, at least, less "local colour" effect. Much of that might be due to the engineering, the playing, the interpretation or any other number of factors. I hasten to add that I don't prefer one version above the other. Both, to me, complement each other perfectly. Two for the price of one, so to speak.....not to mention the equally beautiful piano rendition! Thanks for all three, Rodders.
