A marvelous piano quintet of this great composer. The balance between romantic and modern is fascinating. The second movement is heavenly. Thank you very much !
Having the score to watch while listening to this excellent piece helped me to imagine a better, more engaging performance. Many dynamic markings, expressive markings, and articulations were just skimmed over or missed entirely. For just one example, at letter F in the first movement, there's a "molto expressivo" indication, but I never would have guessed it was there if I weren't watching the score. Disappointing - this score deserves better. But on the other hand, it is better than not hearing it here on RUclips at all. So thanks for the upload!
Lebhafte und wunderschöne Interpretation dieses spätromantischen und fein komponierten Quintetts im inspirierenden Tempo mit klar artikuliertem Klang des Klaviers und seidigen doch gut phrasierten Tönen vierer Streichinstrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt lyrisch. Die intime und perfekt entsprechende Miteinanderwirkung zwischen den fünf Viertuosen ist wahrlich bewundernswert. Danke fürs wertvolle Onlinestellen wie immer!
