Love the “taking pride in your home” comment. So true! I have always loved a picked up and clean house. Not only do I love that it’s (mostly) always ready for any surprise or impromptu visits, but it keeps me and my mind more calm. As I get older, I find that mess is stress to me and I like order.

I’ve made a list of my problem areas for spring cleaning and then plan to schedule the others out over the next several months. I’ve got a 2 year old and a 4 her old: we’ll see how that goes! 😂

You've done a fantastic job spring cleaning your kitchen. At 70 years old, I can't get on my knees or up on a ladder like you do, so I hire someone to come in once a month to help me keep my deep cleaning up. Your home is beautiful and it shows how much you care to keep it that way for yourself and your family.
I’m an older mom and wife. Most of my kids don’t live at home. Two are moving this weekend and so I am waiting to start my spring cleaning until all the moving out and moving our room back into one of those, but I am also mobility challenged and work 5-6 days a week outside the home. I have been working on my list to clean from. Just because it’s an opportunity to do extra deep cleaning and reorganization. I always enjoy your clean with me videos. I feel like I learn a lot from some of you younger mommas. Thanks for sharing the bloopers too, made me chuckle.

We just moved so I feel like spring cleaning is happening TWICE for me! Lol but I’m loving organizing and cleaning right along with you. And reminding yourself that what you have is a blessing is always important. You don’t have to always love housekeeping, but it’s still a privilege to do it! ❤️
My fourth child is now 7 months old and I had a bit of a struggle at the beginning adjusting to all of the tasks involved caring for a family of 6. Your videos have really helped motivate me to keep up with the little things so that they don’t turn into big things. My house has never looked better so THANK YOU! ❤️
I’m so glad I found your videos. They motivated to organize everything…my closets, under my sink, bathroom , and all my junk drawers. It feels so nice to have everything in its own place where I can find it.
I really like that you showed us the up close shots of the dirt, mess, and cabinets. It made this more relatable. I hadn't realized the extent of cleaning that was really being put in until those shots.

My daughter is really helping me get my kitchen done. I'm going thru each and every cupboard in my kitchen, pulling everything out, wiping everything down and putting everything back away.
After watching this video, I started Spring cleaning in my house. The list for each room was just what I needed so I didn't miss a thing. With workmen coming by and the phone ringing, I'd get distracted and forget where I was in cleaning process. This list helped me get back on track quickly and I got things done a lot more quickly. I also forget to do the tops of lights in my bathroom and kitchen. Not only did the list help me to remember them but also made my home look amazing!! Thank you so much for teaching this old lady new tricks!! You are amazing!!
What you said about seeing homemaking as a privilege really made me think. Last year I became a stay-at-home mom/aunt and lets just say it's been life-changing physically, emotionally and mentally. But your way of thinking makes so much sense! 😊

I totally agree with you about homemaking.
I have been both a working mom and doing the household duties and not working outside the home and
keeping a home and making the meals.
I also think this is a privilege to be able to stay at home and make our home a wonderful place to be.
It is a skill to do it well and makes a difference in my family’s life.
It’s nice to see you and Kyle make home improvements as a team and I am sure you are teaching your boys by example.

It is extra satisfying seeing a clean kitchen. the kitchen takes me the longest to clean. I dedicate a day to cleaning it because it takes so long but boy is it worth it after.

Hey Amanda, this series is going to be so great! I can’t wait to follow along and get ideas for what needs to get done around my home. I’ve been super overwhelmed with keeping up with my house and have been at a stand still for the last month. Now that spring is in the air, I’m ready and wanting to tackle a good spring cleaning. I had taken a break from watching your videos because I was feeling so down about myself not taking care of my own home, but the message you said in this video about taking pride in your home and knowing that it’s creating a warm and inviting place for your family really hit home with me. Thank you for sharing, being so relatable, and kind and considerate of your followers ❤️
As always Amanda, I enjoy your real life content. I have just now watched this. The first week in April is my down and dirty spring cleaning week; I work outside the home and every year I take a week off for Spring cleaning and Fall cleaning (October) and holiday prep (both spring and fall is where I get the spring or winter decorations out and cleaned and ready to hang outside like lights, etc). And no, I am not wasting vacation days- I have worked long enough that I am at 6 weeks a year, which I never fully use. I can’t wait to dive into my Spring cleaning this coming week- the house always has a fresh smell and a new energy to it after a full Spring clean!
I have been so swamped and overwhelmed with this new home. I knew I could count on you to make me at ease and know I am not alone. Love the herb garden. I cannot wait to do it in my home as well.

I haven’t started my spring cleaning yet, when I do I do just like youre doing. I tear one room apart at a time. Top to bottom and wash all soft surfaces, curtains throws etc. whatever is in that room. I hang curtains back up wet and let dry on the rod. Makes the room so fresh smelling!

I started my spring clean last weekend, and this one is a hard one, i have only done a third of the house, so there is a long way and many dayes before i am done. So seeing your video today was so fun. I enjoyed it so much. As i am in the kitchen this weekend. The bath, toilet and entrance are done. The kitchen is half done. The living roome, bedroom, office and the first floore is still missing. I love your mindset, that made me see it a whole different way, and remembering the times when the children still lived at home. I miss that time so much. But it is good memories

Love your videos! It puts spring cleaning into the reality of having kids and other family obligations and that it’s ok to maybe not get EVERYTHING checked of your list for the day.
Love the format of room by room. Things are always dirtier than we think and your up close look is reminding me that I need to tackle my kitchen ASAP!
My favorite way to clean our microwave is to use fresh lemons. I use a micro safe bowl add water and the juice of one lemon and then toss the lemons in the bowl as well. Microwave for 5 minutes. Then wait a minute or two remove the bowl (might need to use towel or pot holders as the bowl can still be hot to the touch) then wipe down the entire microwave - all the yuck easily wipes off! You can then use the lemon water and lemon rinds in the sink - poor the water down the drain. The lemon rind can be put in the garbage disposal and is lemony fresh. Really enjoying episode 1 of your Spring Cleaning for 2022! And I love all the rattan light fixtures you have installed!
I'm a stay at home mama of soon to be 2. It's definitely hard to stay motivated to clean when I constantly see a mess. I love watching your videos, it feels like I'm hanging out with a friend while cleaning.💙

I’m rewatching this while folding laundry, and when you said to change the mindset and look at the things that seem like a burden as being grateful, it’s just so amazing and so true. I looked at this giant pile of clothes as this task that I didn’t want to tackle, it’s too much.. but the fact that we have these clothes on our backs and a roof over our head, that we can provide this life for our boys, and we have amazing family that either hand down clothes, or buy our boys things cause “they would love it”.. I couldn’t ask for anything better 🥰❤️

Hi from Australia Amanda. I just wanted to thank you for your youTube videos, especially this one with the tips for cleaning your oven!!! I'm in my 70's with major hand weakness issues from a life long disability due to Polio, Today I tried your Bon Ami method of cleaning my Oven- and WOW how much easier it was... and no toxic sprays which I loathe!! I've found a lot of your tips so helpful in trying to maintain my independence in my home for as long as possible, even though I can't walk anymore etc. I feel really I achieved yet another catch up task today. Bless you Amanda, and continued success with your posts and helpful hints, ..... and thanks for being SO REAL about stuff that we all deal with in our own ways day to day. I absolutely love your videos I play them nice and loud on the main TV and it echos throughout the entire house, I have all girls and have always envied those who can keep their homes so neat and organized! Being raised by my dad organization was not priority in our home and it’s hard to teach what you never had. So I just started watching your videos and watch them religiously!!
