Amaury, there’s absolutely no way we’d be mad at you for using the trailer to move the antiques. Everyone watching this knows the care and love you put into restoring the Chateau. We all know you were as careful as possible and you sometimes have to use your heavy equipment for delicate tasks. Keep up the amazing work. We all respect your dedication deeply. ❤
My favourite vlog Stephanie - happy tears 🥹. My long-awaited visit to Venice with my late husband in 1999 - after a coach ride from Garda through the industrial hinterland of Venice, we stepped into a water bus, turned a corner and every Canaletto opened up before my eyes. I just relived that with your enthusiasm and love for the city. Thank you 💕
Venice really is like a picture book - so pretty. How blessed you are to have a wonderfully helpful family. The restorers work well and quickly! Again thanks for sharing!
Venice is beautiful and you filmed it so beautifully. You two embody the joy of visiting amazing places such as this. I desperately want to revisit now 😊
Yes and filming it to Vivaldi was just perfect!! Thank you Stephanie and Phillip for your vision of beauty that shows us how the world could be if we would just see it... & BE it! What a lovely couple or several weeks you've been having first in Vienna another place of magic, music, and beauty... to Venice. Next thing you'll be flying to Venus to partake in the banquet of eternal Love!! 😘❤💛💙
You picked an excellent time of year to visit as no crowds and lucky with the weather. When you view paintings and photos of Venice it’s easy think it’s all the artists eye, then when you arrive you really see the beauty, it’s as if you’ve stepped back into history. Totally understand your feelings.
Such an exciting video of spectacular Venice. I can virtually feel Stephanie’s excitement! If you never experienced it first hand this video really lets you feel the magic. Also, I loved the music as you enter La Lande to go home. Can’t wait to see the progress in the chapel. Thank you for this!
Saw a movie about Venice once that got into how difficult things are to find; it will creep you out to watch it, but if that interests you, it's called "The Comfort of Strangers." There is a lot of beautiful Venetian scenery in it! I also love the glass escalator tubes in CDG airport! I was there only once, when I was 17, in 1975, and they so impressed me. Then when the Alan Parsons Project's I, Robot album came out a few years later, imagine my surprise to see that the cover of it had a photo of those glass tubes that looked almost exactly like the one I'd taken when I was going through them!
Movie Trivia -Campo San Barnaba (4:40) was where the movie Summertime (1955) was filmed and where Kathrine Hepburn fell into the canal and Rossano Brazzi had his antique shop.
I loved your Venice time and beautiful scenery and music!! It was sweet having Steven and Amaury on the Chapel clearing mission!! Nice filming by Nati!❤
Venice is so unique and filled with history. Your hotel room was beautiful. I so enjoyed the music on the water taxi trip back to the airport. Looking forward to seeing Tonton Steven & Tatinette. Lancelot was adorable welcoming you home.❤🐶
Loved it when you were on the balcony in the previous vlog and the boats were passing by, it felt like you were part of a piece of art. The weather was beautiful for you.❤
You can buy squid ink pasta. The pasta is black. I’m allergic to all fish products so I have to rely on a foodie friend who says it’s fabulous. Thanks for sharing Venice with us. It was beautiful. Amaury is such a good person who seems to get the jobs where someone has to step up and get it done. He certainly does. I’m pleased you arrived safely and it is so wonderful to have that bouncing bundle of joy who is Lancelot to greet you upon your return. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
I fondly remember taking that same water taxi ride to the airport, it is an awesome experience! Lancelot was so excited to see you both, what a welcome home! 🙏❤️
You're right, Stephanie. Venice really is like a mirage, like time travel to a glorious, magnificent city built in a past age. That it still exists is phenomenal. Hopefully, you will take many more trips there so we can all enjoy it with you. I love how much you and Phillip enjoy each other's company and have a lot of joy and fun together appreciating this remarkable, unique place. You did a beautiful job presenting this city in all its splendor. Thank you. ❤❤❤
That footage of the water taxi brings back lots of memories. I remember being so excited getting the taxi to our hotel and seeing Venice for the first time 🩷
Stephanie…..I just LOVE your travels and adventures. I feel like I’m living it vicariously through your eyes. The information and history you give is top notch. I keep telling my son that I hope someday to visit France, Italy, England, etc. It is stunning…..the museums, cathedrals, hotels, restaurants, “modes of transportation” like taking the boat taxi to the airport! 😳 The music you sync to the videos is spot on. Thanks for all of your efforts and can’t wait to see what’s happening next at the chateau. 👍🏻👏😉🥰🍷🐶🙏
O, the Places I Go- with you! Loved it so much I am sad. My travelling days are over. I must say again, you two have the steadiest hands on any vlog I watch. And the best angels and frames!
It’s wonderfully obvious that you both enjoyed every minute of your Venice getaway to the max. Thank you for sharing that joy with us. It was simply magical.
Wow! Venice is really other-worldly. So glad your aunt and uncle are back to help and take over for you while you all are coming and going. That was one happy dog!!! Love from Mary in Southern California 💗
I really enjoyed your trip to Venice. I haven't travelled in Europe and just love the architecture, history, art and music. Thanks for taking us along on your travels.
Wonderful video! The Venice parts are beautifully put together and the bit reflecting the city off the top of the motoscafo brought your video making up to the level of artistic ingenuity of you-know-who.
What an amazing view as you headed to airport. Just stunning! Thank you for everything you shared. Love the happy dance by Lancelot who was so excited to see you home. Have a great holiday Amaury and Nati. ❤❤❤❤❤
I like changing my sheets before I leave for a holiday. It is nice to come home to unused sheets! I have only arrived in Venice by train, but even from the station, the water taxi was fabulous! Thank you for the video!
Your editing is so clever. You mentioned the airport looked like it was from the 60s and then the music for the drive home sounded like the soundtrack out of an old 60s movie.
Venice through your eyes is like a beautiful dream come true. Thank you so much. The gifts my mother brought back for me from Venice so long ago have even more meaning to me now. Happy little Lancelot… what joy he brings.
What a beautiful little visit. Those lamp shades are beautiful. Amaury and Nati, enjoy your well-deserved holiday. It is very exciting to hear that the preparations to paint the chapel walls have started.❤
My sister in law is Italian American and she said they were lost most of their trip there, but loved every minute there They hired a private boat to get them to the airport, her picture on the boat is wonderful.
It cant work like that in venice ! Its a maze... I visited Venice many times when my daughter was studying there and it is really difficult to re find places but that is also the beauty of it ....getting lost and always making splendid new discoveries.
That frittelle looks delicious! I go weak anytime I see custard or flan. 🤤 What gorgeous scenes! Inspiration in every direction! Thanks for sharing the trip and adding your knowledge around the history. I loved it!!
When I visited Florence, I stayed in a quad and someone across the way was a pianist. This was a super cheap hotel btw but my afternoon serenades were delightful. It was November so I got road-rash on my legs in Venice. But it was still fun. I’m the whitest American person on earth but eating pizza on the church steps, some actual Italians asked me for directions. No so parlare Italiano! I was in black, as a tourist should, and I imagine I blended in. So fun! Such great memories! 😅👏💃🤷♀️😂💞💐
11:03 Venice looked beautiful. We were in Venice last August and it rained mostof the time. Maybe we can go back some day. Love your uncle Stevens humour and how he laughs at his own jokes.
How spectacular and romantic is Venice. I loved the water taxi! The little alley streets and the lampshade shop, wonderful. The food looked fabulous. The guys did a grate job preparing the chapel. And Lancelot was so cute.
Spectacular videography exiting Venice, all the angles, even the reflections on the water taxi, and great accompanying music too! the Paris arrival music! Simply marvelous!!
What a beautiful view of Venice from the water! Thank goodness Amaury had his dad to help with the Chapel-they work so well together and are real champions!
Thank you so much for taking us on your travels, love seeing Venice and other places through your eyes! It is also so special watching how excited Lancelot gets when you arrive home....so adorable!! ❤
Frittele (donuts) are available from Jan 6 each year (zabaglione was my fave too) until Martedi Grassa -- after that, nothing until the next Jan 6. At 2:27, the statue in the distance of the man with a pile of books behind him is called "Cagalibri" by the Venetians ... !!! ;-)
Such a beautiful whirlwind of a day for you and Philip, Stephanie. You point out so many places that we would never know about without your knowledge of Venice and the historical and religious treasures to be found off the beaten track. It’s always such a beautifully filmed and edited video and I marvel at how you produce it all in the one day! It was so lovely when you were stopping to comment on the music school etc for our benefit as you hurried to the lampshade shop, but I was also saying, ‘ Keep going Steph or you will be making yourself late.’👏💖💖💖
Imagine actually living in Venice! It would be like living inside of a painting. But, then, I thought the same thing about parts of France & Germany when I was there. The boat ride montage with the music was spectacular--especially the shot of the reflection on the roof of the boat. ❤ "It looks like a urine sample, darling." 😄 Good not to waste it. "The alter boy." 😄Lancelot was like a jumping bean, he was so excited to see you again. 🐕
Thanks for the lovely holiday. I really enjoyed it. We had a great time and saw loads of beautiful things. Back home with some treasures and oodles of ideas. 🥰 🛏
that room you rented is just so beautiful.❤ it's wonderful that your airport is "1960s spaceage." so many airports have lost that in renovation.😢 Lancelot is always the perfect greeter.❤
I really enjoyed the music, of course you cant go wrong with the violen. Great lampshade shop. You almost should've gotten some for your bedroom wall sconces. Maybe next time. Thanks for sharing your trip. 🦋
I visited Venice in the late 1990s, and at that time I remember how rundown it was looking. From your video it definitely looks much cleaner and healthier than when I was there. Bravo! I hope to visit again.
The pilazzo with the circles is actually for sale. It needs restorating, but would be wonderful once done. And it does have the most beautiful murano chandeliers. Thanks for sharing your get away.
Fun all around! I liked every bit of this video; felt like i was with you on your travels from the new adventures all the way to pulling up in the hazy dark at home. Lancelot was sooooo excited to see you, that was a whole new level of excitement from him!
I think Uncle Stephen is the most stylish furniture removalist ever! ❤
I was thinking the same thing. Uncle Steven’s shoes matched his jacket. I love how he dresses up.

I absolutely love that you provide so much information when you tour. You are a breath of fresh air.

Surely you would ask the concierge at the hotel for quickest directions to the lampshade shop?
It cant work like that in venice ! Its a maze... I visited Venice many times when my daughter was studying there and it is really difficult to re find places but that is also the beauty of it ....getting lost and always making splendid new discoveries.
