Not entirely true and why PNG always beats them because they have proper players especially halves playing together in the hunters team. They have such good players in some position but will not operate without proper halves and direction and most of them play out of position in the past...

PNG needs to win to impove rankings. The Fijians are good athletes & have speed but PNG has a title to defend. Should be interesting. The Cook Islanders play good too so this should be interesting to watch. I will hope Australia & New Zealand can be defeat. Shouldn't Tonga be in this?
Figi have best nrl players but don't under estimate the png sides. They're are physical and never giveup.. results shows They're have beaten batis several times including last year bowl titles

On paper, Fiji have most of the best known NRL players and hence favors them on a win in this game. PNG lack their key players of last year like Justin Olam, Edwin Ipape, Alex Johnston, Wellington Albert and Nixon Putt. However, the KUMULS are a very passionate and unpredictable lot and can turn the tables. It's anybody's game - Fiji or PNG is still good enough for these two brotherly teams.

Fiji government is supporting Fiji's NRL bid and the NRL is doing nothing about that. Imagine if they could have their own team and bring all those Union players from Europe. Rugby League is more suited for Fijians than Union.
The pinnacle is NRL and stater of origin. Not international test matches. Its like an afterthought and something just to feel in the gap before the nrl starts unless we have an nrl team like the drua....

The only thing will undermine Kikau is the halves. And this was not the case for the halves last year. He had a descent halve beside him in the world cup and was really at his damaging best. The left edge will have Kurt, Jennings, Kikau and Sivo . If Kurt can step up then it will be a go to plan...

NRL material, Super League material, grandfinal material...blah blah blah....the only difference is game day and the effort each and every player put into the contest.
Hearing too many fake compliments on paper tigers, Kumuls were a well-oiled machine during game day and that was the difference. Kikau's gifted tries were psychological...he melted before the ref even called time off...so much for you paper tiger...😅😅😅

Fijians can win the battle because they have Premiership players. Png will spoil their party with confidence and trust they have in themselves.
I think Fiji will win, given our experianced Kumuls are not playng, Olam, Ipape, Putt, Mekenzie Yei, the Welingtons....on that basis, Fiji will win, but if PNG as always, play their heart away, then they can win. May the best tea, win.

PNG will win if only there is a reshuffle in the team.The players that played against the Aus Kangaroos needs to be dropped.they lack basis lack catching high boms, don't know how to do ball work by moving balls from edge to edge and unnecessary ball handling errors.Fiji is winning with a big margin..
None of the big players played in that game against Australia, just local boys and reserve graders
They're not kumul team, their PM 13 team comprising the fringe players. Only a few were selected into the kumul squad
@@HarryGaryGary okay sorry,I thought they have rugby skills but they are from different football team the PM13 which is different from Rugby League.
PM 13, is rugby league and the Prime Ministers from each country are said to have a sway in recommending a list of players in each respective nations team.
However the purpose of this format is to utilize sports i.e Rugby league as a vehicle to engage with community issues in PNG such as domestic violence, education, DUI & sobriety, Gender equality etc.
