The Australians are really humbling PNG by their decision to support PNG NRL. This is a very huge impact decision made by Australians. Thank you Australia.
They should humble themselves.. chocolate soldiers..reaped us off a lot of Gold to build their empire..forgot Wau Bulolo..Guinness Book of world records...busiest airstrip..L A.2nd..for what purpose..check your history before open your stupid mouth you naysayers
I'd love to see png having a team in NRL. It will help png strengthen the team and be competitive in the international level. If png can win the Intrust cup they can do it again at NRL level. The country have many talents and it's a matter if giving them the opportunity.
NRL is a business. Business needs to to expand. There are comments that posed negative prospects, but our region is a balance of Pacific Islands family so this team is one of the best option of for our region and not a racist region
I would prefer Bob Bennett as PNG NRL team coach. Bob was the PNG coach during the 1970s in PNG for 11 years. If Bob agrees, he can stay in PNG for another 11 years. Bob also taught AFL in Popondetta as a sports tutor. My father was one of his students at Popondeta. My father played as Ruck Rover & coached by Bob. 🇵🇬😅👍
Most of the Sporting Codes & their Governing Bodies right here in Australia who actually do accept & respect any &/or all of the (LGBTIQA+) People who happened to be Players &/or Participants, Team & Club Members, Team & Club Officials, Followers & Spectators, of course. But however, there's a news article about this PNG Team being included into our (NRL) Competition in (2028 Twenty-Twenty Eight) on the internet by a Gay Former/Ex Rugby League Player of Ian Roberets and title heading of the news article says (League great weighs in on PNG team amid LGBTI concerns) of course.
It'll be another Melbourne and Dolphin situation, where PNG will be taking up and coming talent from clubs such as Panthers, Eels, Newcastle and WT. Those clubs should be heavily compensated for losing great talent.
@@dorkwell I'm referring to the players those clubs develop from a younger age, regardless if they come from another area. The clubs invest time and money to develop the talent, only to have parasite clubs take them away without any compensation or player for player swap.
Also Papua New Guinea should also enter their teams also in the future in all of (1 One) Football as in Soccer, (2 Two) Australian Rules Football as in Aussie Rules Football & (3 Three) Rugby Union Football, of course. (1 ONE) Papua New Guinea should also once more again enter their team & join in our (A-League Football as in Soccer) Competition to play against both Australian & New Zealander A-League Men's & A-League Women's Teams & even having their National Teams to play against both of our Australian Socceroos & Matildas National Teams and besides Football as in Soccer (Footy) Code is the Beautiful Game, The World Game & The Real Traditional Proper Football (Footy) Code of course. Papua New Guinea Men's National Soccer Team's Nickname which are called he Kapuls, which is Tok Pisin for Cuscus, Papua New Guinea Women's National Soccer Team's Nickname which are called Lakatois (Motuan sailing vessel). (2 TWO) Papua New Guinea should also again enter their team & join in our (AFL Australian Football League) Competition to play against all of our teams in both of our AFL Men's & AFL Women's Teams and perhaps that Papua New Guinea will play their very (1st First) (AFL) Grand Final at the (G) as in the (MCG Melbourne Cricket Ground) the real true blue Aussie Footy Grand Final as our Tradition in September and Papua New Guines (AFL) Team will be saying &/or singing the (1970s) song by Mike Brady which is called UP THERE CAZALY for their (AFL) Grand Final win also Papua New Guinea actually do play in our Australian Football International Cup Competition as well too and besides that Australian Rules Football as in Aussie Rules Footy is our National Football (Footy) Code of Australia of course. (3 THREE) Papua New Guinea should also once more again enter their team & join in our (Super Rugby) Competition to play against both Australian & New Zealander Super Rugby Men's & Super Rugby Women's Teams & even having their National Teams to play against both of our Australian Wallabies & Wallaroos National Teams and besides Rugby Union Football (Footy) Code is the Game that they do Play in Heaven, of course. Papua New Guinea Men's National Rugby Union Football Team's Nickname which are called the Pukpuks, meaning Crocodiles, Papua New Guinea Women's National Rugby Union Football Team's Nickname which are called being from Palais, which is Tok Pisin for lizard, to Cassowaries.
PNG will get pumped every week, they won’t be able to attract marquee players. Wasteful to have them in the comp, but I understand the geopolitical argument and if national security is assured with a footy team then it is what it is
Nope, the vested interest from the federal government will be that this club HAS and WILL be successful. That is what $600 million, and regional security buys you.
You Aussies are already afraid that we will win the comp. Black and toughest are coming and,we also have all the players, it's just that you jealous and see you in 2028.❤
Why is PNG being pushed primarily as a PNG based team? Why aren't the NRL smart enough to really drive a PNG Pasifika side encompassing Samoa Tonga Fiji ect. And why isn't somewhere like Wellington being discussed as a home base with a percentage of games to be played in PNG? Cannot believe Wellington isn't being pushed being that middle of the road in Nz and close to all the pacific islands. But the support they'll get from the islanders culture would be massive. Players and coaches won't want to live or move their whole families to PNG it's a shit hole period. Base them somewhere players will want to go live Wellington is perfect
Don't worry, mate. Fight for 19. 18 is gone to PNG and you can't do much now. You can say all the negative things about PNG, but for now, just wait and see in 2028. Things might change then
Thankyou Mal and Sen 1170 🇵🇬🙏🇭🇲✅
Thank you, Australia, for lifting up PNG...its about time... " The Fuzzy Wuzzy Angles" PNG NRL TEAM will come alive again 2028 🎉🎉🎉🎉

PNG team in NRL is another milestone for Papua New Guineans to encourage young talented players to join and brings to next level

Can we get the wellington orcas 😅
🎉Go forward PNG all good 🇵🇬✅🤝🌈
Alot of negative but then PNG is a land of the unexpected. PNG hunters showcase that in 2017 intrust super cup in Queensland.

Just like 74/75, Papua's New Guinean independence. Most PNG people didn't want it.
It'll be another Melbourne and Dolphin situation, where PNG will be taking up and coming talent from clubs such as Panthers, Eels, Newcastle and WT. Those clubs should be heavily compensated for losing great talent.

Just out of my curiosity, the Aussies know well, most of ther key players will be physically tested & hopefully comes injuries week in week out😂🤣
Terrible decision....PNG has serious security problems
China 🇨🇳 will fund the NRL team for us.😂
Don't worry ....all will be good.
17th Western Bears
18th PNG
19th 2nd NZ Team
20th 2nd VIC Team or SA, NT.
Your math doesn't add up mate
There already 17 teams. Western Bears is 18th and PNG is 19th and 20th is not discided. The 20th needs to be a south island NZ Team.
Not ready yet, still got alot of work to do in getting a PNG team in the NRL.
Bull shirt we are ever ready ❤
PNG team is a horrible decision. No thought was put into this decision
Care to elaborate why?
PNG will get pumped every week, they won’t be able to attract marquee players. Wasteful to have them in the comp, but I understand the geopolitical argument and if national security is assured with a footy team then it is what it is

Security is a real issue in PNG...No Australians would be safe going to PNG to watch any match
Justin Olam has already spoken against saying his country is not ready for it and that a Aus based PNG team is not a PNG team
You Aussies are already afraid that we will win the comp.
Black and toughest are coming and,we also have all the players, it's just that you jealous and see you in 2028.❤
PNG Hunters went into Queensland Cup, and you know what happened in a short stint. You don't know what is coming, so close your mouth for now, mate!
No hate against PNG but man they don’t deserve any team yet.
They won't get players to live in PNG..dangerous place
@1362pc have you lived here?
