Hi guys i really love your genuine reaction to our boys. Before you dive into their incredible music videos i would like to recommend an introduction video about BTS for you guys to know them better. Here is the link to that video by xceleste ruclips.net/video/3cESARetI9U/видео.html. After that you can watch an introduction about our fandom ARMY. Here is the link to that video by xceleste again ruclips.net/video/iEy4wSU0t88/видео.html. I hope you enjoy it and more power to your channel.💜
Yeah this sounds more like Barbie to me But I still love it If you want another Nicki verse where she didn't cuss- Tasha Cobbs-I'm getting ready ft.Nicki Minaj Jessie J-Bang Bang ft. Nicki Minaj, Arianna Grande
This videos full of all the things haters complained about their videos They don't like green screen They don't like Jimin's femininity They don't like Jungkook using auto tune They don't like V's glasses (Thanks for the correction) They don't like RM using filters So they did all of them
nicki actually wanted to respect korea and bts so she choose not to cuss and she also asked if her lyrics could be translated in korea for the audience and bts put her lyrics behind bts if you notice in the mv they had lyrics floating behind them
I love this collab! Another reason why I love BTS is because they don't bandwagon hate other people. They asked Nicki to do this collaboration in the middle of the Nicki hate train when alot of people in the industry were turning against her. They personally chose Nicki to be on this song themselves because they thought she would fit perfectly with this song and they were right. I hope they do another song together one day.
BTS came from a small label company, but they were called monster rookie on the industry because of their talent (singing, rapping, dancing, composing, writing and producing) and charm. That threatened the major label companies and most fans of the other KPop groups hated them so much. They never address their haters like in interviews or what not but they respond to them artistically, thru their music.
idol is a festival - a celebration of self. they used to struggle cos they don't fit in - not kpop, not hip hop (accdg to their korean music industry haters). small things like rm in a filter - he was once mocked for using a damn social app filter. so the song is really that - hate us but we love ourselves. and, we don't have to be in a box - we are who we are, with all these different layers within us. 💜 fantastic song. i was once in a dark place but this song uplifted me so much that whenever i hear this even up to this day, i feel so good. "you can't stop me loving myself."
As an OG Barbz and a somewhat senior Army, you cannot imagine how hard I lost my shit when this song came out. Nicki will always understand the assignment that's why she flows so well here! 💜 KingsxQueen collab 👑👑
I love this BTSs era so much! I just can remember the last show I went 2 years ago and the energy of this song at the live concert is unbelievable. I still have the same feelings that I had that day just of thinking about it.
The framed art work (at 2:22) on the walls was created by the boys of BTS themselves. It was an assignment during a Run BTS episode. In this circus of a song there are lots of cultural signs, props, visual cues, traditions, and artifacts about South Korea (Red bunny figure in the sun). Find the video that explains it all. It's important to the message of the song.
HI, MY DEARS, FIRST OF ALL, THANKS YOU FOR YOUR REACTION AND YOUR RESPECT FOR OUR KIDS, I'M 66 YEARS OLD Y I'M PERUVIAN ARMY, I LOVED SO MUCH BTS THEY ARE SO TALENTED AND TRULY ARTISTS, THEIR DISCOGRAPHY IS SO BIG, THEY ALLWAYS ARE SO POSITIVE , WELCOME TO THE RABBIT HOLE , BE SAFE, BORAHAE
"There are tens of hundreds of myself in me, I welcome another me today. After all, all of them is me" Another interpretation is they have a lot of personas, just as RM said in the beginning of the song, "you can called me artist, you can called me Idol" and J-hope said I am now free, no more ironies. So it's like ppl can despise them as idols(which usually means "factory idols', the entertainment company mold them into what they are now that they don't have their artistic selves or are all about their visuals rather than talent). But they don't care about what ppl badmouthing them and no more identity crisis now. I am after all just me and accept all faces of themselves. That's why "IDOL" is the title song of the last album of the Love yourself series called Love yourself: Answer. They showed their happy public face in "Boy with Luv" and recognized if they always put on a mask to hide their weakness in front of ppl esp. their loved ones, all of it is "Fake Love". Finally, they find the answer - love yourself b4 loving others which is the main idea of this song.
I just love you guys. Intelligent, insightful and respectful commentary. I can tell you guys have been doing some research on these guys. I appreciate that. I've commented before that I am loving going on this journey. You guys never disappoint. You may want to watch one of the introduction videos of BTS. It will help you understand why they mention their haters or feature haters in their videos. They are very serious about spreading positivity and learning to love yourself. In fact, they were asked to speak at the U.N. Check that video out.
I love the Fact that instead of being someone who says "i have many side of me" in a Bad way like many other people do, they are saying "i have many side of me, and it's ok. I embrace them all, and be myself"... It is really a cool message! And if u watch the Explained video by DKDKTV you can find so many layers and meaning to this song... When i watched it i was blown away 😂💜
The line about having hundreds of me inside of me isn't referencing fans. A lot of their previous songs follow their career arc. A common topic was about the 'idol' versus the actual person and the identity crisis that can create. Idol was a celebration that they've reached a point in their journey that they accept and love every aspect of themselves and there is no longer an identity crisis because all sides of them, the one in front of the camera, the one with friends, the one with family, the one alone... they are all facets of them and all true
I love watching people fall down the bts rabbit hole & finding out how amazingly talented they are, guys you should check out some of their end of year award show performances they will blow your mind, I recommend melon music awards full performances from 2018 & 2019 they are amazing.
the haters from korea said that they were getting too westernized and that they werent proud of their korean backgrounds. they also said they use too much green screen, too many colors, too much autotune, too many filters, jimins femininity, so they did all this in one video to say, a big fuck you LOL. they had so many korean references on here, to history references to even the traditional korean clothes, dancing to show like “wtf r u talking abt us being too western” its cool asf
This was also when they were being criticised for being too into African culture and music, though at the same time they were being told they would never make it in the west if they didn’t tone down their Koreanness and their goofiness and make their videos less busy. They clearly had enough of everyone telling them what to be and what to do to succeed when they were doing just fine being themselves.
Idol was the first BTS video that I watched and I watched it over and over and over again, trying to sort out the BTS members. At the time there was a site that had thumbnail photos of the members with REALLY basic info on the side: Name, birthdate, height, weight. Like that was the most significant information? ??!! I haven’t watched Idol in such a long time and never with Nicky Menage (sorry for the spelling). I noticed so many other details which I had never noticed then! It was great. Please thank your Patreons from me too. Without them the rest of us would also be missing your reactions! I’d love to be one, but my husband and I are living from our limited pensions. Even if I only contributed $3.00 it would cost me 30 Swedish Crowns, not to mention the transfer costs from my bank to yours. Please know that I find you two to be incredibly engaging and intelligent reactors and I am a loyal fan!
Live performances of BTS especially in award shows like MMA and MAMA (My fave is MAMA 2019 and MMA 2019) they are mind blowing... its like you are in thier mini concert.
please react to bts idol explained by dkdktv he goes over all the traditional references in more details. theres actually many layers to this song besides it being a fun and positive vibe. the music is a mixture of traditional korean instruments and afro beats, many of the dances are traditional korean dance moves and south african dances such as the gwara gwara. the suits they wore are also traditional african clothing if im not mistaken and the robe-like clothes they wear in the house are traditional korean clothes called hanbok. also wanted to point out rm had those filters because haters would come to his live stream and tell him he looks ugly with filters. and V who wears the glasses he was also told by haters he looks ugly with glasses. basically theyre challenging the haters and the stereotypes of kpop artists being controlled or told what to do by labels and "fans" and the overall misconception that "fans" and the public has in korea that celebrities must do what theyre told or what fans want. bts are saying THEY call the shots with everything their lyrics, what genres their music is, the clothes they wear, the accessories they wear etc they wont be told what to do just because it appeases to the public. many people think korean artists are controlled and are made to do everything "fans" and labels want in order to keep the "fans" happy but bts is saying no ill do what i want and if you dont like it leave.
Sooo what you should know is... they had a bigger fan base outside of Korea for a good while. (Could be because the media in Korea was not covering them much). When Korea started to get more into BTS they wondered if they were going to become more “Western”. In this song IDOL, they are addressing many things including we are still Korean, we still hold to our heritage.

BTS is so loved by the ARMYs because of their close relationship to us. Like we feel like we know them personally. They always interacts with fans not only during comeback (this is when kpop groups release a new song or album) but throughout the year. They do livestreams to talk to fans, sometimes, even during their time of rest, like after a concert while they are eating. They genuinely love ARMY so much. We are the luckiest fandom, please react to pied piper, it is their diss track to ARMYs.
What you will find is most videos will always be different. Would like BTS Tiny Desk Concert. It is good to see their personalities and the live singing skills. Love you guys your great. I am 58 and have 2 grandkids and had major depression when I found BTS 6 months ago and it totally changed my life.
This is direct response all haters who said they are too western (which there’s ton of Korean references that you’d have to watch DKDKTV Explained by a Korean to see) as well as many other things
9:49 Who told you BTS do not cuss? 😂 You should check out some of their older tracks; surprisingly none of the songs where they have cursed is marked explicit on Spotify but they definitely have. Cypher Pt.3, 2nd Grade, Intro: Nevermind, Whalien 52 are some older tracks. RM and Suga (as Agust D) have cursed on their solo mixtapes and Jungkook swore in their recent Savage Love remix. They do not do it often because they are aware they have younger ARMYs that watch them just as much as the older ones but it definitely still happens.
I think you guys would really like watching the Dkdktv explanation video for this songs. It explains a lot of Korean references and wordplay on the song. Even though the song look chaotic, but everything means something. It does go by the original MV but they are very similar. I like your idea of the line about army and BTS with the ten to thousands in me line. BTS does a lot with psychology and shadows and stuff that so I didn’t think of it like that. I was thinking along the sense that we all of different sides to us good and bad and that he loves all his sides and personas. Side Note: Please don’t feel overwhelmed and take your time with everything. ARMYs (including myself) just get excited. However we don’t want you to feel pressured and we just want you to be able to enjoy the ride. Thanks for reacting!!!
Now that you saw his reference to Anpanman, you will need to watch that one. Anpanman is about an anime hero, and think about how many other artists will dress up as anime, or make a song about anime? They also had a BT21 series of how each member created, drew, and helped develop their own anime characters which are sold around the world as BT21 merchandise.
Kudos guys!☺️...I always like you’re genuine insights, most are on point which is crazy.. I felt your sincerity of knowing our guys🥰.. Keep it up! If you want more of like this, check: 1. ON kinetic Manifesto 2. Not Today 3. Fire For a variety; 1. Black Swan 2. Fake love 3. Blood, Sweat and Tears 4. Spring Day 5. Film Out (japanese track) If you’re ready to personally know them; 1. An Intro to 7 members of BTS by IDA S (this is just released 4 days ago, by far this best represents their TALENTS and Growth as individual artist, great video clips too on their recent works, well made, highly recommend this one over other intro) 2. Who is BTS by Suga and Spice (this will give u a peck on their personalities, but for me this is so outdated since they’ve grown so much in the past 3 years both as an artist and as a person. Most likely, people will recommend this since this was the only better intro for the past 3 yrs) 3. THIS IS BTS by Xcelest (focuses more on their growth to stardom as a group)
I talked about the map of the soul concept in your ON reaction. This is apart of the Love Yourself series. Three albums. #1- LY:Her is about that perfect fated love that everyone dreams about (DNA) #2- LY: Tear is about that love being torn apart (Fake Love) #3- LY:Answer is about what the real answer to love is-loving yourself first bc if you don’t love yourself, you can’t love anyone (Idol).
Also to add on that this song came about at a time when BTS was being criticised by fellow South Koreans for being too American/Western. So they hit back with a title song that celebrated everything about themselves, including their Korean heritage.
I'm a 56 Mexican Army. You talk about BTS addressing their fans, ARMY. They do it all the time. You should react to Bulletproof the Eternal. It's a beautiful gift for us, ARMY.
The great thing about BTS, besides their talent, its their aknowledge of Army. They are really close to the fans. Always doing Vlive to directly talk to Army, and thanking us first when receiving an award. THEY KNOW the importance of the fans. BTS and Army works together for charity as well. A nice example was when BTS donated 1 million dollars for BLM, and Army matched their donation in one day. Army is a organized fan base. To understand better the greatness of BTS you have to understand Army as well. A great video for that is BTS Army by XCelest. Great reaction, guys! You nice, keep going 💜
Thank you guys! I really loved this reaction. I’ve only seen the idol video / listened to the song not featuring Niki before I wasn’t sure what she’d add or if I’d like this version. But you guys really made me appreciate her contribution. I loved how genuinely excited you were and how you took the time to read the lyrics and understand the song it was a great reaction video. I look forward to more!
One thing I love about your reaction is that you guys seem really pay attention to the music, lyrics, and the video. Some people just pretend to like it cuz they wanna get more likes or subscribes, you know.. plz continue to keep it real. - Love and support from Korea
Since their album Wings, they've been writing about a trajectory of love, success /failure and self identity/self love. Their songs/albums explore themes that go into literature (Herman Hesse) psychology (Carl Jung) poetry and art (bts connect). They are not your typical kpop band or your typical musician (hence the massive global following). Watch some of the live performance videos (Mama and mnet), the informative ones (intros) as well as the analytical ones (explained) . I think you will be surprised by how each member is so unique (funny) and why ARMY are so protective and varied. As you can tell, ARMY will come and watch your videos in droves if you are genuine and serious which you seem to be.
i like how u really react and analyze the lyrics, u guys are amazing i hope u do more bts especially the rap line's cypher series 1 to 4 the bars there are fire
Yay! I love this BTS journey you guys are on! I think you're ready for one of their more down tempo tracks. I highly recommend you check out "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal." It's a love letter to the ARMY (sample lyric: "We were only seven, but we have you all now."). It's a beautiful song, and a cool video.
If youre into analyzing lyrics Im just gonna leave this god tier rap here.. Outro:Tear.. basically we were vibin and twerkin to this rap but when we found out they basically wrote this rap to the members when they were on the verge of disbanding, now we cryin when we hear it. That sht hurted
Thank you for your reaction, you enjoy their music video, their song, and even trying to listen what their message. Hater is always something for everyone. Not just for the artist, but for all people, there's always something that hater want to hate. And this song telling everyone to love yourself for who you are, not for everyone standard. I like your reaction, and for another good message, I like you to react their song "Love Yourself : Answer" too. Simply song that can change everyone perspective. Thank you for appreciate their song
Hey guys, I just wanted to thank you for this reaction!! I love that you stop and talk about the lyrics and what they mean to you both! I’m here because of BTS, but I subscribed because I can tell you guys are genuinely cool people and I really enjoy what you guys have to same about the songs! I hope you don’t feel to overwhelmed by ARMY and our requests, please just take your time and react to whatever you want(BTS or otherwise)!💜
Thank you~ I loved your reaction and honest thoughts about their songs. Can you react to RM solo - Persona someday? Happy birthday Ziah! Wishing you all good things in your future~
BTS is all into details from their music, lyrics, choreo, fashion including everyrhing you see in the mv. They're there for a reason. Armys also have fun theorizing them.
Love your reactions, I love seeing new people learning about and enjoying BTS. One little request though? Can you make the size of the video you’re watching just a teensy bit bigger? Yes, I’ve seen the videos before, but I still like to watch it while I also watch your reactions. Your channel, your choices though💜 ARMY in Alaska and, retired Navy spouse 😉 I do enjoy your perspectives on BTS so please continue. I suggest reacting to “ON Kinetic Manifesto Come Prima”, that was my first exposure to BTS last year and the same song (ON) performed on Jimmy Fallon @ Grand Central Station really started my journey down the rabbit hole.
*I recommend you Listen to their Self Produced/written Album BE with eng subs , They wrote about their time during this pandemic and wanted to cheer us up!*
Idk, but it's been a few days that when i wake up and having my coffee, the first thing i check on yt is a new reaction vid from you guys! Diving deep to BTS is fun to watch! But I'm still waiting for ur reaction to ON Kinetic Manifesto and their live performance at MMA 2019! Cheers!😁💜
I think now would be a good time to watch this is bts 7 members of bangtan so you can find out more about each member and what makes them who they are and you should watch them sing live also good luck and welcome to the bts rabbit hole all I'll say is you may never get out lol 💜🐰🕳️💜

They don't like green screen
They don't like Jimin's femininity
They don't like Jungkook using auto tune
They don't like V's glasses (Thanks for the correction)
They don't like RM using filters
So they did all of them
True...
It was Vs glasses.
And there’s some specific elements from korean culture, traditional clothes, all mixed!
Yes. Just about every detail of this seemingly crazy random video has meaning (just like all their MVs).
And Suga's white skin, notice Suga wear a snow-white sweater? haha
nicki actually wanted to respect korea and bts so she choose not to cuss and she also asked if her lyrics could be translated in korea for the audience and bts put her lyrics behind bts if you notice in the mv they had lyrics floating behind them

I’ve come here exactly to suggest those!!! “On Kinetic Manifesto” is amazing, I keep watching and watching!!!
Yesss on and black swan and even boy with lug
@@sionadsouza1413 I’m totally crazy about them dancing Boy with Luv!!!
Really loved how she made Korea and career rhymed only Nicki 😭😭❤️

Yoongi in Snow White's sweater in this video is supreme
please react to bts idol explained by dkdktv he goes over all the traditional references in more details.
theres actually many layers to this song besides it being a fun and positive vibe.
the music is a mixture of traditional korean instruments and afro beats, many of the dances are traditional korean dance moves and south african dances such as the gwara gwara. the suits they wore are also traditional african clothing if im not mistaken and the robe-like clothes they wear in the house are traditional korean clothes called hanbok.
also wanted to point out rm had those filters because haters would come to his live stream and tell him he looks ugly with filters. and V who wears the glasses he was also told by haters he looks ugly with glasses. basically theyre challenging the haters and the stereotypes of kpop artists being controlled or told what to do by labels and "fans" and the overall misconception that "fans" and the public has in korea that celebrities must do what theyre told or what fans want.

I am 58 and have 2 grandkids and had major depression when I found BTS 6 months ago and it totally changed my life.
This is direct response all haters who said they are too western (which there’s ton of Korean references that you’d have to watch DKDKTV Explained by a Korean to see) as well as many other things
I really appreciate that you Get and understand What they tryna say
React to B.o.b ft nicki minaj - out of my mind
It shows why nicki is a genius
ft. Nicki Minaj is the best Genre
Yeeesss this is BTS😙✌🏼💜💜🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now that you saw his reference to Anpanman, you will need to watch that one. Anpanman is about an anime hero, and think about how many other artists will dress up as anime, or make a song about anime? They also had a BT21 series of how each member created, drew, and helped develop their own anime characters which are sold around the world as BT21 merchandise.
I didn't know idol went that hard
Kudos guys!☺️...I always like you’re genuine insights, most are on point which is crazy.. I felt your sincerity of knowing our guys🥰.. Keep it up!
If you want more of like this, check:
1. ON kinetic Manifesto
2. Not Today
3. Fire
For a variety;
1. Black Swan
2. Fake love
3. Blood, Sweat and Tears
4. Spring Day
5. Film Out (japanese track)
If you’re ready to personally know them;
1. An Intro to 7 members of BTS by IDA S (this is just released 4 days ago, by far this best represents their TALENTS and Growth as individual artist, great video clips too on their recent works, well made, highly recommend this one over other intro)
2. Who is BTS by Suga and Spice (this will give u a peck on their personalities, but for me this is so outdated since they’ve grown so much in the past 3 years both as an artist and as a person. Most likely, people will recommend this since this was the only better intro for the past 3 yrs)
3. THIS IS BTS by Xcelest (focuses more on their growth to stardom as a group)
This song is what made me Army! I needed this message so much during that period of life, that it helped me pull through some tough patch.
보고가요💛💜💛💜
Nicki week🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
Spring day mv and mv explained.that will touch your heart.
You can also react to the explanation video by DKDKTV for this MV. And other MVs as well.
👑NICKI QUEEN OF RAP👑
I talked about the map of the soul concept in your ON reaction. This is apart of the Love Yourself series. Three albums. #1- LY:Her is about that perfect fated love that everyone dreams about (DNA) #2- LY: Tear is about that love being torn apart (Fake Love) #3- LY:Answer is about what the real answer to love is-loving yourself first bc if you don’t love yourself, you can’t love anyone (Idol).
This is one of a song in their "love yourself " campaign for their fans.
Kinetic Manifesto ON and Black Swan
Am waiting for FakeLove & BlackSwan reaction🤩
Also to add on that this song came about at a time when BTS was being criticised by fellow South Koreans for being too American/Western. So they hit back with a title song that celebrated everything about themselves, including their Korean heritage.
I'm a 56 Mexican Army. You talk about BTS addressing their fans, ARMY. They do it all the time. You should react to Bulletproof the Eternal. It's a beautiful gift for us, ARMY.
Thanks for your reaction
Glad to See you enjoying Listening to BTS
U should check the live performance of Idol. These boys are amazing💜
So much power in the mind, yes Devine. Take your change, you’ll never be;
Next in line!
Nicki with the ultimate customer service as per usual.😂
I REALLY appreciate y’all’s interpretations of these music videos I rlly love how observant you are and it’s always fun to watch your kpop reactions
Well thought out, really digging you guys. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
BTS ON reaction next!
Plus! You guys should check out their live performances to experience the awesomeness of them!
Y’all should react to their albums🙂 lmao is that too much? *just to see how they changed throughout the years
One thing I love about your reaction is that you guys seem really pay attention to the music, lyrics, and the video.
You need to listen to Magic Shop. Also, happy belated.
i like how u really react and analyze the lyrics, u guys are amazing i hope u do more bts especially the rap line's cypher series 1 to 4 the bars there are fire
For a r&b vibe, please react to V or Taehyung’s solo Singularity music video.
Ys plzzz
If youre into analyzing lyrics Im just gonna leave this god tier rap here.. Outro:Tear.. basically we were vibin and twerkin to this rap but when we found out they basically wrote this rap to the members when they were on the verge of disbanding, now we cryin when we hear it. That sht hurted
More BTS please 🔥
You guys are the best
"ON" Kinetic Manifesto please🙏
Black Swan and ON Kinetic manifesto 💜💜👍🏻👍🏻.... Looove ur reaction always.. so thoughtful
Since you guys enjoy their rap so much I really can't wait for you to listen the the Cyphers.
I'll just be camping here waiting for that to happen.
Amazing song every song of bts
Apart from armys it also refers to different sides of our self. We change with time. So kinda a self love anthem
This is top tier mv by bts for me
thanks
Thank u guys for the reactions I love it
Thank you~ I loved your reaction and honest thoughts about their songs. Can you react to RM solo - Persona someday?
Happy birthday Ziah! Wishing you all good things in your future~
You need to watch their dance practices. Their is an extended one of Idol and you can see how hard they work and how good they are!
we need nicki to collab with blackpink
Go tell nicki
*YES, INDEED YOU ARE CORRECT sir :) if you have time TRY TO WATCH THE "IDOL EXPLANATION"*
Wow love your reaction guys❤ please react to there solo songs
you gotta watch DKDKTV
there are so many cultural references and other things
diss is more in depth with the explanation
you are gonna love it!!!
Love your reaction, very much appreciated
*I recommend you Listen to their Self Produced/written Album BE with eng subs , They wrote about their time during this pandemic and wanted to cheer us up!*
oh 29th May my birthday day 😊
Idk, but it's been a few days that when i wake up and having my coffee, the first thing i check on yt is a new reaction vid from you guys!
