Why do act like she is the first black ballerina? She is just the first the media praised. She isn't as good as others but her race gives her a "leg up". She should actually recognize the other African American ballerinas before her.

She has done that so much throughout her life. Unfortunately the media doesn't concentrate on that.
She is American Ballet Theatre’s first female Principal Dancer in its entire history. That’s pretty significant.
