Europe's California is smiling on you. Excellent.
The pork steaks are 'Febras'. Traditional. You'll get piri piri chicken at the same restaurants. Try it and see how fake Nandos is..
( a cornishman who doesn't like fish??)
Dirty bikes are used bikes. As they should be.
Tired, happy faces ending the day. This is why we travel.
Most excellent.
Ride safe. Onwards. 👍
Cornishman??! Im a proper Devonshire lad lol! What a memorable day though, Portugal is the gift that keeps on giving, such varied beauty
Forgive my geographical failure.
But you'll be telling me you don't like clotted cream next..@@ontheroadadventure
Ohh No… Clotted cream is game on!!!
I'm going to have to disagree, Nandos started in South Africa, by the Portuguese, we have a large Portuguese community in South Africa. The Nandos in South Africa is a hundred times better than the franchise's in England.
@@hansie567 ….and now we need to come to South Africa just to try!
Ewa has got it right - octopus and squid - superb.
Ewa will eat almost anything
Thanks for stopping to film the Stork nest 🙂
No problem, amazing animals they can fly huge distances and yet still return to their same nest and we can’t even find our campsites with a satnav!
This just gets better, you two certainly put a smile on my face thanks for the entertainment and making my evening 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Have you ever seen such a varied and beautiful country?
Hi Rich and Ewa! Did you know…Britain and Portugal have never ever been at war against each other?! AND…Nando’s originated in South Africa?!! Beautiful country, and lovely people! 🇵🇹🇿🇦♥️ Ride safe 🏍️🍺💪
Yes we were talking about the Nando’s chicken symbol and how it’s everywhere
This video put a big smile on my face. The banter between you two is brilliant.
Thanks Mike, Gotta have a laugh!
Oih! Your drone footage and choice of accompanying soundtrack gets better every time. Didn't realise how green the landscape is in that part of Portugal. Cheers
Portugal seems to have it all! Thanks so much, we love these little magic moments in the videos, glad you do too
I second that great drone footage again
Thanks so much
@@ontheroadadventureAgreed regarding the drone footage n music. Did a cracking job there
@@DaveDayve It’s becoming my geeky little hobby 🤣
LOL at the safe option for Rich... Fries 🙂
Ewa knows how to look after her man 🤣
That sunset is just stunning
A beautiful moment at the end of our day
Great drone footage guys and it is another life entirely in Portugal. Keep them coming brilliant 🤘😊.
We feel very fortunate to be spending time here, amazing place to be
A brilliant video again , the countryside looks absolutely amazing loved the old buildings on the hill and how fantastic to see the stork nesting so glad you went back to show us , eva face when she bit into the orange was so funny , long may your antics go on 😊
Hi Debbie, glad you enjoyed it. We love to see the animals and Birds and the Authentic small villages... A city is just a city, but these small places have real character. Dont worry we have allot more to show you!
Richard getting into camping, great to see...I'm a big pro camper when I'm doing a tour but I'll also be the first to admit...good weather indeed makes the experience far better for motorcycle camping
Im as surprised as you! I honestly thought it would last a couple days before going back to hotels, but as long as we are not cold its all good, I also really enjoy the social aspect to it too talking to other travellers and hearing their stories and adventures
Good filming. The drone really make it complete.
Droning over the bikes at that narrow street looking like pro :)
Thanks, getting a bit bold with that thing now!
Absoluty brilliant, what agreat episode of your adventure. Oranges/lemons , fish, squid absolutly giggle time. 🤣🤣. Beutiful ride and country, so laid back. Ride safe both , have fun 👍
We are loving chilling out in the sun, Theres nothing not to love here, Food, people, roads weather, scenery all 5 star
Them chips and pork looked delicious 😋
It really was! Not keen on Ewas lot though
I love that you stick to the N1. I want to ride there too!
It’s the N2 road runs the length of Portugal, we really enjoyed the road
I love Portugal been there many times one of my favourite places used to go there a lot with my truck stay safe you two 👌💯👍
Its such a memorable place, we love it here in Portugal, We have so much more to show you all
U 2 should do a food critique channel. Funny as. And honest. Love it!! Really enjoying the series guys. Well done.
Thanks, Did you see any of our Moto camping cooking videos yet? They will give you a chuckle im sure!
@@ontheroadadventure absolutely!!
👏👏👏that’s some scenery , magnificent views again. Thank you to show my country like it should be shown. Take your time and enjoy the Algarve sun ☀️. Cheers
You are incredibly lucky to call this land your home...
🙏like in any other part of the world, it as it’s pros and also some cons. Next time hope I can offer you a coffee😂.Cheers
Thank you so much, this is what we are talking about, people are so friendly in PT. Its so different to the uk
Wish I could’ve been as chilled as both of you when travelling with my partner. Solo travels beckon again for me 🤷😂
We are both very lucky to have each other and both wanting to travel like this on our bikes, you have to really want to be there to enjoy the challenges of Moto camping travels
Hi Rich and Ewa, wonderful series. I moved to central Portugal 3 years ago and can confirm all the things you have seen, too much fish, no-one needs that🤣, but the people (especially), roads, weather, hospitality, scenery are the absolute best... I am lucky enough to ride around with a few locals in Fundão near Serra da Estrella, life doesn't get much better. I hope you enjoy the rest of the month just as much 😉👍
Wow sounds like you’re living the dream. Are you British? How did you get around the brexit stuff? Is there enough work for everyone or is it hard times for the average Joe?
@@ontheroadadventure Yes it is hard for Joe, there are jobs but language skills are the biggest hurdle, wages are low but cost of living is also lower than the UK (moved from Stoke-on-Trent). A lot of educated Portuguese leave for better pay elsewhere in Europe. There are ways (post-Brexit) to get a visa to be able to live in PT, very simply you need to prove you have enough income to not claim on the PT social services and have a residential address (so no bumming around), but when that is done you can live here legally and enjoy the country, learn the language and generally chill out a bit... If you pass the area again give me a shout, we can have a beer 😁
Who knows what the future will bring, but we will defo be repeat visitors to PT
With you on the uneventful food Rich. 😊
Especially when touring!
Excellent again guys! Really enjoying your adventures. 🦐🦐🦐🦐
Cheers bob, Dunno about the food though!! We just so love this exploring portugal though, We would do this our whole lives if it were possible.... Home is where we pitch it now!
Oi! We use it just as much as "Olá" depending on the part of Portugal. Love the videos
Oi! We just loved that... We could easily stay here our whole lives, best country ever!
Ewa can buy food for me any time ... good choices, girl. *Perfect* description of his food ... uneventful. 😁 And the reaction to the orange. Priceless. Nice video, though.
Thanks for joining us! That will teach ewa for Scrumping!
Awesome drone footage, amazing!! What a great trip, thanks for sharing and helping to revive good memories from the N2 to those who already ridden it, like me. 👍👍 to
Thanks so much, what a place Portugal is! We have so much to share on this tour
Portugal looks to be an excellent destination. As it's the only country in Western Europe that I have never toured on a bike I must correct that at some point. Great video again especially eating the orange/lemon 🤣Keep safe.
You really must go, I bet it turns out to be a favourite of yours
You got your times wrong again after the friendly reminder I gave 😆
Its a great series guys, it looks like an epic adventure 👌🤘🤙
Videos should be live at 6pm UK usually but some times we get a little excited and go early!! Thanks so much for joining us, glad you enjoy the ride
Looks amazing over there glad your enjoying every minute of it
Cheers Lee, We are very fortunate to be able to do what we love
Great video guys! Rich, what's the matter with you mate, that squid looked bangin' 😂
I just cant entertain the idea mate, Yuck!!
Uneventful 😂 Brilliant !! 😂
You can’t believe how happy I am for simple bangers n mash or egg and chips lol
Really enjoyed this episode of your adventure, that N2 looks amazing Really great road for motorcycling and the scenery looks great, definitely worth the effort getting down there for your road trip, must say the camp sites look fantastic, definitely better then some you see over here, anyway great video guys. ❤
The sites are amazing but you do need to be prepared for sand or stone pitches in the south. This is because it’s so dry and sunny! Grass is in short supply.
Portugal looks fab, I wonder if it is that quiet in Summer.
According to Henry Cole most people hit the cost roads in the Summertime !
Nice filming btw
ride safe
We have a different plan for this tour as we have a month away, we will however be back to portugal and do just this next time. A perfect ride would be N2 down and coast back up
Quiet because its scorchingly hot in August!
Apparently winter months are when it’s busy for this reason
Really enjoying watching your trip. I spent 3 months travelling through Portugal in1990 . Definitely one of Europes gems.
Did you feel 3 months was enough?
Cracking video and I'm doing northern Portugal and northern Spain in June and so looking forward to it 😂 stay safe both and keep the videos coming please
We have so much in store for you, this is just the beginning 👍
Brilliant videos 👌🏻 lovely couple enjoy the trip
Thanks so much Mike, glad your enjoying it with us... Portugal is amazing
Perhaps they were Seville oranges whose only use as far as I'm aware is to make marmalade and they are pretty sour. I hope you keep enjoying the trip, it's been fun to watch from my chair surrounded by crap uk weather.....
That could well be the orange then! Glad we can show you all the sun does exist... Somewhere in the world at least... Keep the faith it has to stop raining in the uk at some time.... surely
Enjoyed that Rich is actually enjoying the camping ✊🥳
I have to say, its growing on me! But i imagine its very different in the uk in the freezing cold
Gotta rock the crocs😉
Once you start with them youll not go back!!
@@ontheroadadventure I'm wearing mine now 😀
There are only exchanged on our feet now for the bike boots 😂
Ah that drone footage was so good especially the stalk! So he drives an adventure bike, goes on an adventure but does “uneventful food” 😂😂😂😂🤷♂️ those oranges you ate are the equivalent of crab apples in England! Not really meant to be eaten raw 😂😂😂
I’m afraid so, when it comes to food I don’t do fish, mushrooms or olives. Other than that, I’m in…! Ewa will try anything she finds 😂
Well done guys, tell it how it is! Inspirational to be honest and proof that Portugal is a hidden gem.
It really is! I cant believe we didnt rush to this country years ago!
nice to know you have test eva,
Ewa will try anything!
Another great day, thanks!!
You bet! its hard to have a bad day here in Portugal, What an amazing place to ride our Motorcycles!
It's been quite nice today in Boulder-ville. Glad to see you both getting into the swing of things after the rather indifferent beginning. I can quite easily see how touring like this makes people wish they could just keep on doing it....Why would *anyone* want to come back to the dump that is Britain....
Honestly we have fallen in love with Portugal, Rich especially would trade it for the uk in no time but brexit makes it very difficult to live as we please now
@@ontheroadadventure I share your sentiment. My self and Mrs Boulder were (pre-Brexit) considering retiring in Catalonia (the Spanish side) but that's out of the window now...
We stayed at a campground in Spain that was created and built by a British couple having sold their home in the uk to go live and work in the sun. After 7 years of building their business brexit happened and they were forced to sell and get out. A Dutchman bought it at a steal. Just awful 😞
Loving watching your holiday in Portugal never been but think we’re gonna put that right soon. Excellent viewing 👍👍
You really need too! Thanks for joining us, maybe we will inspire your next trip...
@@ontheroadadventure we’re off to Italy in June and Pico’s end of September gonna try Portugal next year 👍 not in a tent though 😜 loving your vids having fun and keeping it real 👍👍
@@geoffmatthias3056 Awesome, Italy is great 👍 We recommend staying off the motorways and toll roads! Let us know how your adventures go on the FB Group page “on the road adventure riders group”.
@@ontheroadadventure definitely no motorways 😜👍
@@geoffmatthias3056 We learnt this the hard way on the Home to Rome tour. Never again will we do that
What an adventure you’re having. Simply stunning !!
Possibly the best one yet! We are so excited by this place
Brilliant guys place looks awesome enjoy
Thanks John, Portugal is AMAZING
🤣🤣🤣 your as picky on food as I am!!
No Fish, mushrooms or olives - Thats how i order food when abroad, its usually pot luck what they bring me in a restaurant
Great drone shots,keep safe😍
Thanks so much, The sunset finished our day nicely
That was crackin that, the N2 is brilliant, the N222 is also amazing, did it last year on my Himalayan and going again this year on the Vespa 300, 2 up with the Mrs for a bimble about on the same roads
We can see how portugal can easily become one of those places you revisit time and time again. We would like to come back up the coast road next time
Another amazing day.... well, half a day as you didn't set off until lunchtime. 😉I'm an early bird and when I have a long day I am often on the move by 7.30am. I loved the look of Ewa's lunch....yum! This is a great series, you are really selling the N2 and Portugal.
We are terrible at getting up in the morning! Portugal is selling itself, we are just highlighting what’s there from what we found…. And we love it allot!
Nice vid. Lovely drone footage. What was that 'horrible' food?
Ewa had octopus and I had pork
Awesome roads and they're so quiet!! No wonder you feel so chilled, great roads, great weather and great food! The first time I had Piri Piri chicken was in Portugal. Deffo worth a try? The drone footage is awesome, I really liked the "follow me" through the tiny streets, and what an amazing sunset again, captured perfectly, Lovely Video, I can't wait for the next one!
Thanks so much, the food was just great in Portugal and everyone waves and greets each other, it’s just my favourite place I’ve been
went in Rome or Portugal. You have to taste the local food and enjoy it. 😅.
Even the fake oranges!
Coast !
Next time...
Loving the trip, stay safe both.
Are you inspired yet??
I am enjoying watching your tour and content, thanks for the entertainment. I used to live in spain and a local friend told me dont eat the oranges from the trees in town, they are meant as ornaments, sprayed etc. I presume its the same in Portugal?
Lol Well i guess ewa learnt that lesson the hard way!! very funny though
You'll have to get fussy eater some tripe - tripas a modo do Porto is best.
Thats a nope from Me!!
👍
Nice episode guys, enjoy the good life!
Btw i don’t hear Ewa on the road, can‘t you communicate with her while your driving?
Yes she is there! Are you using one headphone perhaps? It should be in stereo
Thanks really enjoyed that
Thanks for joining us David, we just want to release the next one now! Faro is Just amazing... See you in the next episode
Loving this trip, just remember ewa not everything smelly is good lol need to see you try some of that fermented fish 😉
We were talking about that fish from norway in a can.... Ewa would give it a go!
This I have got to see. Ewa is one brave girl to attempt that stuff 😂😂😂 make sure you video it 😂😂😂😂😂 crying laughing just thinking about it😂😂😂
@@BPRReme I wanna see this too!! Poor Ewa 🤣
just loving the footage , keep it up guys 🥰 , cant wait for the next one 👌
We can never wait to get the next video out for you all, 3 a week is our goal 👍
The oranges in the streets are just for show lol
😂 Well ewa learnt that the hard way, she couldn’t understand why no one takes the oranges home
Another Devonshire non-fish rider here Rich ... only 2 things smell of fish and 1 of them is fish.😂 Why would you eat anything that's swimming around in all that sewage out there. The other horrendous thing is my missus eats French Camembert cheese ... stinks like a babies sh*tty nappy, evil stuff. Loving this latest adventure but also enjoy your local stuff, like finding cafes.
This made us both chuckle! Ewa likes a smelly cheese too! Good old fashioned cheddar for me every time! Glad you enjoy the channel with us 👌
Excellent as always guys. This is the experience many of us would love to do but lack the confidence/ finances to do it .
Hope Cardo get you both communicating whilst riding….. and supplying the new unit free of charge!?
Hi Steve we are so happy to share it with you, Portugal was incredibly affordable but the ferry over is a big chunk of change. Cardo were amazing and did organise a new unit for us 👍
It's annoying to see Rich rejecting real food. Most of Europe has more interesting food than England. The only exceptions are Fish & Chips, Shepherds Pie, Ploughman's Lunch and Christmas Pudding. Ewa is enjoying the trip so much more. She's a real explorer.
Rich will try all the fruits etc just not fish! If it comes out the sea it’s a no for me!
Must be hard to come back to the stressful roads and attitudes of the British drivers on our UK roads... do you plan ahead on where your camping etc.. I was wondering what websites you might be using ? .. cheers
We dred coming back to the UK rain cage... I would travel constantly if only we could afford to do so. We dont make plans of roads or accomadation etc, we just make it up as we go along. When its about 4pm we will search the local area on google maps for Campsites and pick one to rock up too. We would do the same but using booking. com when using hotels etc. Its pot luck, some times its good, sometimes its not, but it will always be ok in the end so we dont worry about it
I would love to do a tour like that but doubt if it would happen, a group of us were planning to go to the Faro rally this year but some couldn't make it. I have just retired but my wife still works in a job she loves, she will only take a couple of days holiday at a time.
So just enjoying your journey and dream.
I hope you can make your trip happen. Perhaps your wife could fly down to faro and meet you there for a few days and you ride the N2 down?
@@ontheroadadventure That was the plan for this year all the guys were riding and the wives were flying to meet us but a few had to drop out this year so heres hoping for next.
Best of luck for next time bud
How good have you two got? Putting up the tent in the dark quickly 👍
We are getting plenty of practice! Our team work is important
@@ontheroadadventure your getting plenty? Now that’s a holiday?😂😂😂👍
We do love a challenge
Those oranges are not for eaten.... LOL
Sometimes we have to learn things the hard way it seems!
Always great content. My first bike was Portuguese - a Casal. If you see some lets have a pic! It's official Rich is an old Crock. My daughter and her boyfriend are investigating moving there full time because property is so affordable..It's a shame we were all shafted by Brexit.... the gift that keeps on giving. The domestic was entertaining :-)
We dont blame them, but how is this going to work with the brexit rules?
@@ontheroadadventure they are doing their research at the moment, but essentially instead of a right to live there they will need visas
Before Betwixt they could have moved there for a s long as they liked and had heath care etc, but now limited to 90 days unless they have a visa and are required to have a certain level of income (although thats not an issue)
Gasman. How dare the British public have a vote and decide that they'd prefer to have their own rules made by their own elected politicians. It's a shame it's going to be difficult for your daughter to move to Portugal but the difficulty is caused by the EU wishing to punish us for leaving. I would really love to buy a brand new Suzuki DR650 but they're not sold in England anymore because an unelected EU nonentity decided that they're killing the planet.( Fucking hilarious).
I hope they can make the dream come true. Most of us are now trapped in this rainy cage
Great vid, what riding gear do you wear
We both wear Oxford Mondial textiles
Oi, whatcha 😜
Oi!
Hello, welcome to Portugal.
Attention, hello in Portuguese from Portugal is OLÁ. "Oi" is Brazilian slang used by Brazilians who immigrated to Portugal in search of a better life.
You will find many Brazilians working in the restaurant industry but their Portuguese language is not correct.
I wish you a good trip through Portugal.
Oh thats interesting... The Brazillians are lucky to be there with you, what a beautiful country, we cannot get enough of portugal
@@ontheroadadventure OK. Thank you.
The UK is also very beautiful and has a very rich culture.
I just don't like the weather and the cuisine ;))
The weather in the uk is a huge problem, so much of our life is wasted sat inside wishing we could go outside but its raining again and again....
No i dont. I just do my own thing.have a rough plan and that is it. Usually book first couple of room as so cheap with breakfast. Then decide and book a place. Could be more organised if needed tho.
We do the same, much better to have no plan and go with the flow
I’m on your side Rich, I don’t eat that smelly food either 🤢
Honestly, ive no idea how people can stomach putting it in their mouth.... Makes me urge thinking of it!
Sedate touring is the way to do it (when retired at least). I am off for 6 weeks to the EU again. Always pitch for 2 days wherever I stop. May even just do a 100 miles before stopping again. Avoid motorways and big mega cities.
One YT vlogger got to Italy in 2 days via the toll roads, what a waste.
We agree, Go slow, see more. We learnt this from previous tours, the temptation to try to do more than time will allow is always a a mistake as is judging the quality of your trip by how many miles you covered
Are you interested in a tour of morocco with us? Know some amazing roads but did the whole country in 8 days and 3,500 miles. Needs more time. Went from agadir to north and then high atlas to sahara etc. Went from 8 degrees and rain and i do mean rain to 30 degree sahara desert.
We considered doing Morocco but also decided this needs much more time than we could allow this time. We will be back for Africa. Do you do organised tours or something then?
Hi again. No i dont do tours. I am just a biker. I have an idea. Do some research. Book a few places and the rest is on the fly. Would love to show what i know about morocco and extend it too! I can be more organised if that was needed. No charges just a couple of bikers doing a tour.
We do the same, make it up as we go along Lol - Who knows maybe one day we will do this trip
No need for fish in any circumstances 😂 devils food
Fish are friends not food
