    I just booked one of these cabins for Christmas 2024 cruise, it’s great to see a video rather than look at floor plans, very helpful.

      Shanna Galloway ..... great little cabins Shanna.... I just booked an Ovation Studio With Balcony for Feb 2020 in this mornings New Releases.... bizarrely it was cheaper than the Studio Interior..... but I loved 8230 and will book one of them again in the future.

    Thanks you, I was in this cabin 8230 in December 2017 and have booked it again in 2019. I notice you are in Sydney, my photos/videos are the same.

      They are a great option for the SOLO cruiser..... it has made cruising RCI affordable for me.... prior to these STUDIO’s I couldn’t afford double the twin share price.... I also have another Ovation Studio Interior Booked for Feb 2019.....
      and in the recent NEW releases for 2020 I secured a BALCONY Studio for about the same price that the Interiors usually go for, in fact (weirdly), the Interiors were priced Higher than the Balcony at first release.
      I am actually in Newcastle.... I think I posted that via my mobile, while still aboard in Sydney, hence the location stamp for that.
      Hope you enjoy your next cruise !

      I'm doing my cruise in Feb 2019 as well. I notice there are 3. if you have booked 8230, then you aren't on my cruise. As I got 8230. I am waiting for prices to hopefully drop and might change to an normal virtual interior.

      OMG, just looked at some ovationn for 2020. And you are right can get Oceanview balcony with possible obstrcution cheaper than Interior. Gosh I might book one. but timing is bad for me. I could be cruising out of Singapore in feb 2020. first world problems hey!

      kerry Muller ..... I couldn’t get 8230 for 2nd February 2019.... had to settle for 10230.... still be good.... but do prefer decks 6/7/8.

      Thanks for the info, just booked a balcony- single(obstruction) for March 2020. had I known about this earlier i could have got a non obstruction on deck 7, only 3 cabins, for the same price. Still happy with the other side.

    Nice video..... Yep its BYO coffee if you want to make in room coffee, little odd. But hey! Better than nothing.

    Question ? Can u turn the virtual balcony screen off ?? And leave the blinds open ?

    • @geoffmatthews1094
      @geoffmatthews1094  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can switch it off… it’s just a TV screen…
      And you could leave the blinds open and look at a blank TV screen

    Thanks interesting to see, do you bring your own food for the fridge or is it intended for what you left over for onboard meals? Laurie

      Have heard of others bringing nibbles back from buffet and putting in fridge for a snack.....
      I think most people would keep drinks cool in the cabin fridge..... in my case, they let you take 2 bottles of wine onboard, and that’s what I keep in my cabin fridge... and a couple blocks of chocolate I also take with me.

    was it expensive to book the single cabin..i had to pay double on radiance as i was the only one going this time.. id prefer a single or share with someone..didnt care who as i wouldnt be in the room much anyways..thx for the vid..think i'll book it next time

      The STUDIO cabins are a little more than One Portion of the Twin Share price of a regular cabin, but way less than the Total both portions of twin share that they charge for Single Occupancy of Regular Cabin.... but as you see, very compact.... most of the Studios I have booked have ranged in the $180AUD - $220AUD per night
      They are a limited number.... on Ovation there are 16 of the Interior Studios like the one in this video....
      There are also 12 Studios with a Balcony that are a bit more pricey.....
      THEY ALL BOOK OUT QUICKLY.... you need to be booking 1 - 2 years in advance.
      FYI .... there are actually 3 Studio Interior cabins on Radiance as well.... but with only 3 you really need to book them within weeks of the release date.... 2 years in advance.

    Did you call to book? I don’t see an option on the website for booking a studio room.

    • @geoffmatthews1094
      @geoffmatthews1094  6 лет назад

      Alexa .... the Royal Caribbean website can be unfriendly.... sometimes it’s easier to call....the Studio Interior cabins are category 2W.... there are also Studio Balcony cabins they are category 2F...... of course there are limited numbers and they do book out....
      Often on RCI website the studio is the cheapest option in the single cabin price selection.... and often its the “We pick your Room” Option.... when you get through to the part where you enter your details, the summary on the right says it’s a Studio.... if you wanted a particular Studio I would try calling them.

    Is the bed high enough off the floor to put a suit case under it?
