I’ve just stayed in a similar room on Quantam and will be sailing on Ovation in February. Thankyou for the room tour I wasn’t aware the table could be pulled out. You are also correct about the TV. On Coral Princess just recently I was able to choose from an extensive free movie channel, sadly on Royal I had to pay $11.99 . Quantam’s bathroom is definitely nicer than any other ship I’ve been on. Happy cruising.
Thanks Sharon. Princess’ tv system is leaps and bounds better than anything else I’ve experienced at sea - loved the on demand telly and movies. The bathrooms are so good on the Q Class ships - really a giant step up from older style ships.
lovely cabin :) I really love the light brown/grey color panelling over the deep chestnut brown color of most other cruise ships :) but wow, the storage is very very minimual, i do not have a clue how the 3 of us are going to put all of our clothes away on our november cruise, theres literally hardly any hanging space, there wouldnt even be enough for my clothes alone let alone my mum and my fiances and theres nowhere really to store 3 suitcases. really worried about our november cruise now.
Totally agree about the colour pallete 😍 I didn't really notice that there was limited hanging space for 2 passengers, but I suppose for 3 it would be a bit more challenging. I found the overall storage to be quite copious, between the drawer space in the wardrobe and the vanity area, plus the over-the-bed cupboards - but maybe I don't bring much clothing on trips haha. Suitcases can be slid under the bed and out of the way which is a big help 😁
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy i suppose that mum didn't unpack last cruise, so she probably won't this time. We had a mini suite on pacific adventure, it was perfect for the 3 of us in size :) how do you think this cabin compares? We do have an accessible cabin booked though on ovation, so hoping that will give a bit more room :)
Thanks for watching! I didn’t hear any noises from the deck above in this room - I can’t say for others rooms but be mindful when you check the deck plans and try and select something that might not be directly under the WJ if you can. Happy cruising!
I sailed on Ovation recently and was surprised there were no life jackets in the cabin. I have never had a cabin without life jackets and wonder if this is the new normal.
You know, it didn’t even click to me that they weren’t in the room until I read your comment! I recently read of a similar thing on Celebrity Cruises, I wonder if it’s an RCL Corporate decision…
@@aussiejohn5835 that would make sense - I know they’ve always said that if you can’t make it back to your stateroom during an emergency, you’ll be supplied with a life jacket at your muster station so maybe they’ve just decided it’s logistically easier to supply as needed. Seems strange though.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy That makes sense, unless you are in or close to your cabin and unable to get to the muster station. I felt uncomfortable with no life jackets close at hand.
Ovation is a beautiful ship. My one criticism of it for an itinerary like Alaska is that it's very built-in. There aren't as many outward view vantage points onboard and in a place like Alaska, to me, it's all about the destination. I would suggest something like the Radiance of the Seas/Brilliance of the Seas which I believe usually sail in Alaska during the summer. Although they're older, I think they suit the area better.
Yes, there are balcony staterooms on Ovation of the Seas that can cater for 4 passengers - bedding includes two twin beds that convert to one king size bed; and one double sofa bed.
Thanks to the viewer who let me know my first upload had an audio issue! I had to remove and re-upload the video - thanks again. ❤
We are on the Ovation right now in a similar cabin on deck 7. We do appreciate your informative and helpful video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much, Gary. Hope you enjoyed your cruise!

Thanks for another great video..I really love the idea of being able to lock the balcony..
Thanks Mandy. The lock is a great feature that I haven’t seen in many balcony staterooms before.
As usual, thank you for a very informative video
Thanks so much John
Looks a nice stateroom
It was really lovely 😊
Thank you. I’ve never been on a cruise and I’m nervous about the room.
No trouble. Ovation of the Seas has terrific balcony cabins - they’re much larger than those that came before on older ships. Have a great cruise!
Thanks for the video. Does the divider on the balcony open up for the connecting rooms?
They do open, you’d need to ask the room steward
Was there a power outlet in the bathroom. I can’t remember from my last trip 5 years ago!
Thanks
There was, up top somewhere from memory.

Thank you, love your vids! Am thinking of booking a similar room but wondering how noisy was the upstairs Windjammer etc?

@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy Thanks for your reply. I thought it was maritime law to have them in every cabin and for every occupant.

Big cabins .. love RCI for this. Much better than Princess weeny cabins
Definitely a very spacious and practical balcony cabin.
Do you recommend this cruise to Alaska during the summer ?
