Like many others have mentioned, Ikea isn't really that cheap in India. Wood and carpentry skills are expensive In Europe and US, hence their MDF based factory produced furniture is cheap there. On the other hand, smuggling of wood and cheap labour keeps things cheap here anyway, so you could get the same thing as ikea but with rubberwood or some other cheaper wood (still better than mdf) for comparable prices. Ikea products' finishing would be more standard (local carpenters' finishing varies wildly). Plus if you move often, then ikea furniture is a bad idea as it is not too sturdy.

IKEA can be only successful in B2B in India by partnering with builders, architects and companies.
I checked out their store and online store and found it costly.
In Indian, you can get better wooden furniture which looks more premium.

WELL that is true . labor is not cheap in Europe and us that's why all buy board but they do not work in India i was given a bed gifted by my in-laws without consenting me and it just arrived and after moving it 2-3 times for Diwali cleaning , everything fell apart (kirit Nagar product same MDF board) one can make bed , table , mirror/side table constructed under 35-40k rs approx. its all about using resources in city and a good carpenter . MY friend had got them made 12 each of these for hotels in 2017 and 2020.

Yes, it seems like IKEA is successful. But IKEA's net loss in India went up to Rs 807.5 crore in the financial year ended March 2021 from Rs 720.7 crore in the previous year
Ikea store in hyderabad is opened in the main city gacchibowli, which is an IT hub and all the skyscrapers and rich people live there. The land is pretty expensive there.

Ikea is not cheap at all. Keeping in mind that it is Sweden company had got its furniture 3 years back for our Goa home. Nothing is stable other then it's chair.

Well there was no such "dark truth" of IKEA in this video.. whatever Aditya explained was one or the other business strategy, all of which is justified for any business enterprise. Nothing in this video is at the cost of humanity.
Further, I thank Aditya for quoting an example as to how Trademarks can benefit ur organization to reduce ur tax burden (although GST in India applies which can be recovered thru ITC).
