    like you i do not sleep very much so i have been trying to teach myself crochet as i have always been a knitter i am in my 70s and, , was never taught to crochet found your Kaleidoscope granny blanket on you tube and as you do it stitch by stitch i have found it easy to follow.and i love your chatting as in the wee small hours i do not feel like i am the only person in the world ,other sites seem to just show you a few repeats then go to the end of the work so i have to keep stopping and starting my lap top frustrating so again thank you keep doing it this way as there must be more like me that can not sleep and want to learn new projects

    I love doing this. My grandson picked the colors and I'm learning as I go. I thought that maybe it would be helpful to know how many rows are going to be in the corners only for calculating how many rows of each color I can design the corners. Since this is my first one it would help but if I was on a second one I would have the first one to look back at. Thank you.

    Yes please do the two rounds

  • @palmerhusky
    @palmerhusky 7 лет назад

    as for the two rounds, i went ahead and did that already, but for the purpose of the cal maybe still do them as a reminder. you can always do the first round as a reminder of what to do when you get those center points, them have them complete the rest of that part on their own, then cut to the triangles.

    The part I still don't understand is: How do I know which side to start. I laid my work down in between triangles. Which side should be facing me when I start so that I end in the right spot?

    Can I suggest for an audio book The Wind in the Willows the enchanting story of wood creatures. I watched many years ago
    the pantamine of the story . Like you to read it.

    you make it so easy to understand. I'm waiting for the next step. I do have a question.. if I want to add another set of squares after the final square that is in this pattern how do I figure out how many sets of each color? I don't know if this makes any sense, I hope that it does. thank you for your help.

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  7 лет назад

      If you mean the final rounds around the perimeter of the whole square after the 4 triangles are added, you need to have an even number of rounds around the perimeter in order to have a space available in the center of each square side.

    • @donnadoolittle9102
      @donnadoolittle9102 7 лет назад

      Fiber Spider no I guess that I'm talking about the triangle part of it. if I want to make 7 triangle sets. if on the seventh layer would I start the first triangle with 4 or 5 toes of the first color?

    • @donnadoolittle9102
      @donnadoolittle9102 7 лет назад

      oops 4-5 rows

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  7 лет назад

      You can have as many as you want, the only thing to concern yourself with is the last row where you have to slip stitch to the other triangles - the number of rows per color is arbitrary

    • @donnadoolittle9102
      @donnadoolittle9102 7 лет назад

      Fiber Spider thank you for your help. I have learned a lot by watching and working with you on this tutorial. can't wait to see more

  • @patriciachaar8252

    how many squares are you doing and at the end you know how big the blanket will because I do not want it to be small but I don't know how many row I need to of each colon as it grow .i hope u understand what i am trying to say

  • @nasaid5748
    @nasaid5748 7 лет назад

    ok my problem is, after , lets say, I finish my first triangle side , cut off the yard, do I turn my work and start the second one, will it match up to the end of the second to slip stitch into the first triangle. I keep getting messed up here and having to take a piece of yard and stitching both together . Same thing with starting the third one too. Hope I said this right so you can understand

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  7 лет назад

      I would suggest crocheting all four triangles and then connect them with the slip stitches after they are finished, I find this easier 😉
