In others words, it sounds like many in this group are not able to maintain the proper pitch and intonation when singing their notes, consonants, vowels--a far cry from the legendary tales we read of in the Tanakh, Talmud and Midrash concerning the choir in the Beth haMiqdash. I believe you when you say they are not in perfect pitch, but please consider that you are judging this with modern ears and with modern refined standards of musical beauty that have been honed over hundreds of years of academic study, research and experimentation. The choir of old was likely not more than twice as good as this, if that. As another commenter said,"When Messiah comes, they will be able the strike the right chord" As to they mispronunciation of The Holy Tongue, no one gets it 100% right, not even the Yemenite Jews,. As a musician, I hope this choir can continue to practice their craft. They still need much refinement, before posting for the entire world to critique. In my lifetime, have never met a Lewi who can sing and pronounce לשון קודש properly. Both must be learned proficiently. In others words, it sounds like many in this group are not able to maintain the proper pitch and intonation when singing their notes, consonants, vowels--a far cry from the legendary tales we read of in the Tanakh, Talmud and Midrash concerning the choir in the Beth haMiqdash. Please take my words as encouragement, and not as vitriol. חזק וברוך.
When Messiah comes, they will be able to strike the right chord. No need to worry.
I believe you when you say they are not in perfect pitch, but please consider that you are judging this with modern ears and with modern refined standards of musical beauty that have been honed over hundreds of years of academic study, research and experimentation. The choir of old was likely not more than twice as good as this, if that.

As to they mispronunciation of The Holy Tongue, no one gets it 100% right, not even the Yemenite Jews,.
