* "Drat. One of those boorish Americans showed up. I'll just have a word with Mumsy and she'll invite him to leave." (We're American...!)
I may have misremembered a couple of details, but it shows the sort of excellent fun (Fun Count +1!] that is sparked by this charming Victorian Era game. The publisher, Dan Hallagan, is also one of the nicest people on the planet and worthy of support. Based on watching your playthroughs, I think you'll enjoy Obsession! (And we will enjoy watching you two play!)
@@michaeldarling7169 you sold me with the “he’s one of the nicest people”. Always down to support good people doing good things :)
A game that I love and never hear anything about is Century. Everyone has heard of Splendor, but I think Century is far superior. It has 2 different aesthetics (spice traders & gem miners) but they are the same game.
We’ve played century golem! Had a good time with it, only played one time though.
Jambo is an older game I think that has flown under the radar
Awesome!! Will check it out!
I have tried getting vast to the table. But it is just intimidating to new players that it makes it almost impossible. Call to Adventure is one of my favorite games of all time. As a DM I use Call to Adventure to help new players create their D&D characters
Yea it’s a fair criticism. We all picked a player up front, and learned them ahead of time - and it helped massively. (For Crystal caverns).
Cool idea about CtA, the new Origins version actually comes with character sheets for 5e to port your CtA character to that system. Really cool
I have heard about Jamaica... Maybe because it is an older game??
Definitely likely. 2007 I believe!
For me the only game ive played is innovation, but I played the uglier version! Still an amazing game though! If I had to think of one game that is under rated, it would be broom service, an amazing push your luck game! Really great video, now I have some games to look into!
You’ve sold me on broom service Jake. It will get played
Sheepy Time is so good!
Right?!!
Sub Terra has been on back order forever here in Canada......is it out of print?
I believe yes, it’s hard to get anywhere unfortunately.
Played vast, and i think i love it more than Root :)
Which version!? I love Crystal Caverns but I don’t think it’ll ever hit the levels of root for me
@@FostertheMeeple Played manor, i think kinda similar. Love it more than root coz i think its more thematic for me, all player have different specific objective, no vp hahah
Just joined...You two seem fun...Amyitis is one i always felt was a bit unappreciated in its day.
Thank you so much! And welcome :). Haven’t heard of that game but going to look into it!!
This video was so much fun 😉
Thank you!!!
your list is wrong #1 underrated game is Silver Bullet 😜
From my list (I think these qualify as underrated?): The Reckoners, Fugitive, Qwinto.
Haha we can’t talk about Bullet EVERY video!! Reckoners is one I really want to play, that’s the one based on the Sanderson book correct? Loved that book series.
@@FostertheMeeple yeah that's the one, it's got that Yahtzee mechanic where you get 3 rolls for dice and get to allocate them as you want, but it's co-op and player turns are simultaneous like spirit Island.
It seems a lot of your picks are lighter family weight games. Just curious do you guys play more medium weight euro games like Concordia, Castles of Burgundy and Orleans?
We play things all across the spectrum honestly. Only ones we’ve avoided are heavy weight games like Lacerdas
@@FostertheMeeple personally not a fan of Lacerda games either but I do get why they’re liked by heavy gamers for their design and depth. Just thinking your taste in games might expand more if you were to play all of the great euro style games like great western trail that’s in your top 10.
@@ctvisions yea we’ve played a lot of midweight euro games, including GWT. We are a 2p primary household so it’s tough to table them but when we can we do. CoB is one of our faves and luckily enough, great at 2p.
Dude, bro. Dude.
With respect to Sheepy Time. Were you looking for the word "travesty?"
Hahah probably. No script = shenanigans
@@FostertheMeeple For sure! No judgment. Just know in moments like those it bothers me if I can't think of it. Maybe that's just me! Great stuff!
@@Gakraemer86 yes 100% agreed haha!
It’s a travesty is probably what you meant to say.
Haha seems likely ;)
Blood Rage is underrated. Why isn’t it #1? I mean what’s the deal with that
It’s no Ankh though. That merge? Beauty.
YES! JAMAICA!!!
Right?! So good haha
Jamaica is popular game.
Not a great message, calling Calvin Ridley a quitter, when he is trying to responsibly deal with personal issues.
Given the information came out after this, obviously not intentional. Jamie also doesn’t follow football so no malice intended. Appreciate your message here though!
It hasn’t art!
Hahah such a blunt statement from Jamie camp!
Sorry, Wildlands is a poor mans version of The Others
To each their own!
Sub Terra if amazing!
Agreed!!! Super great game
