From BIC pens site: ‘Help write our planet’s future with the long-lasting BIC Ecolutions Ocean Bound Plastic Retractable Gel Pens. This gel pen is made from 78% ocean-bound recycled plastic excluding ink cartridge and the paperboard packaging is made up of 100% recycled content and is recyclable. All the materials used are collected within 50km of a shore or waterway that leads to the ocean, preventing it from entering the ocean excluding ink cartridge.’ I have several of the ballpoints and and it writes well and has the side button to release the pen nib. They are fairly inexpensive. BIC is a product of France.
You did a very good job explaining. I learned something new👍🏾🙏🏾
Yay!
This is awesome to hear. Hope they come out with different colors. I prefer this pen body than the current one sold in the stores in the US.

Oooh, good info, thank you for sharing this!
Is this going to be a permanent addition to their lineup or is it limited edition?
Right now they're saying the Light Blue barrel is permanent and the Turquoise and Coral are limited edition
@@TokyoPenShop Thank you!
Unfortunate name for a product. “Ocean Plastic”.
Yes, quite descriptive. At least they didn't call it Marine Garbage 😄
