    Thank you for showing every step of the step, I was looking at so many videos for setup and they always conveniently skip the part where poles are raised from ground before plugging in the tent hooks to poles, I wanted to see how its done by single person. So, thank you, appreciate you showing that :)

      Thenks! It's really key in setting up this particular tent. Not a lot of space between the fly and inner tent body.

    Hey man, nice video!
    Could you fit a backpack in the big pocket on the inside?
    When everything is packed out the bag maybe will fit in there, so you don’t have to put in in the vestibule…
    Keep on, nice videos greetings from Germany!

    • @pathwaysalaska8757
      @pathwaysalaska8757  Год назад +1

      Yes you could fit a pack inside. What I do is empty my pack and spread things around my pad, then place my pack underneath the foot of my sleeping pad. Works great that way. Thanks you for reaching out and commenting

    I don't like the tent, for me is too narrow at the bottom, but I do like your video. I think that Naturehike VIK 1 tent with its width of 85cm at the bottom and a cost of $140 its much better tent.

  • @jkoorlandfb
    @jkoorlandfb 3 года назад +2

    Great Review! Do you think this tent could be sufficient in lower temps and handle some snow fall?

    • @pathwaysalaska8757
      @pathwaysalaska8757  3 года назад +2

      Thank you!!
      Sufficient? Yes I would say it could sufficiently handle cooler temps and I would certainly take it out myself in winter. One thing to note though.....it does NOT have the best ventilation so condensation would be something to take into consideration. But...a single wall tent would be worse, so there is that.
      As long as you have the tent guyed out properly it should be fine to handle a light snow load

    hey, thanks for your review. questions: what about moisture? it seems there is no good ventilation... and what about strong winds? doesn't look as massive as an msr hubba... would be glad if you answer me my questions. greets from bavaria/ ger

    • @pathwaysalaska8757
      @pathwaysalaska8757  3 года назад

      Thank you! Those are great questions. Yes, moisture can be an issue with this particular tent. There isn't a lot of space between the inner tent body and the fly which can restrict some airflow. Also, the inner body can be pressed against the foot of the tent by your feet and cause moisture to transfer to your sleeping bag.
      I don't have experience with this particular tent in high winds but I will say, if you position it properly in relation to the direction of the wind and guy out the tent properly, then it SHOULD withstand some pretty good gusts.
      Hope this helps! Happy trails 👣

    • @pathwaysalaska8757
      @pathwaysalaska8757  3 года назад +1

      One more point. If you keep enough tension on the rainfly and inner body, then you can drastically reduce the moisture problems.

  • @joebeman8000
    @joebeman8000 2 года назад

    Mine just came in the mail. Thanks. Question: If it's raining during setup, could you do the fast-fly setup first and just hang the tent in last under the fly to keep it dry? Thanks

    • @pathwaysalaska8757
      @pathwaysalaska8757  2 года назад

      Technically you could. But it would be difficult. You would have to end up unhooking the tips of the poles from the footprint at each 3 spots and connect them back to the tent body and again to the footprint so everything is secure. It could be done but with some difficulty. You're better off setting up before it really starts pouring .
