Gordon Jackson OBE 66 (1923-1990) actor

Gordon Cameron Jackson, OBE, 66 (19th December 1923 - 15th January 1990) was a Scottish actor best remembered for his roles as the butler Angus Hudson in Upstairs, Downstairs and as George Cowley, the head of CI5, in The Professionals. He also portrayed Flt. Lt. Andrew MacDonald, "Intelligence", in The Great Escape.

Gordon always looked as if he was just himself on screen. I love that he never ever dropped his guid Scots Tongue. A Wonderful Actor and a Great Scot.

Always loved Gordon Jackson..especially in Upstairs/Downstairs. My parents loved it and dad got me into Masterpiece Theatre with Alastair Cooke
