So, I was born in 62 in Notts, and I can clearly remember my mum loving this series, Elsie Tanner, Annie Walker, Stan & Hilda Odgan, and poncy Dennis Tanner, the list goes on and on.
I have been watching a few of these and can see why it was so popular, very topical and quite gritty for the times on TV.
I can see why my mum never missed an episode...

I am loving watching these. I would love to watch these from the 1st ever episode up until the 1980s, I can’t stand the ones that are showing now.

I like the way Mrs Walker could have a humane and kindly side to her character. I gave her great depth. Thankyou for sharing ❤

Thank You, just brilliant 🎉 Pat at her fiery best, great scene in The Rovers when all went quiet during Happy Birthday to Minnie. Well said Annie to Elsie. Good scenes with Dennis too.

I never thought that I’d ever agree with Annie Walker, but she said what had to be said to Elsie! 😂

Episode 501. Classic from beginning to end with Annie Walker putting Elise Tanner in her place.
