Check out around the 19:35 mark of this video. The jack rabbits' ears look like a Native American Head Band with the two feathers sticking up in the back of the head. I bet the jack rabbit stole that idea from the Native Americans. lol
Depends on the animal I think. In the case of dogs, they’re probably coating themselves with a new scent while disguising their own. It’s instinctual behavior.
You can tell that this show is very old. Wolves were reintroduced back into Yellowstone park back in 1995. They have since killed at least half of the coyotes in the park.
