In France, the delisting of homeopathy was completed in January 2021. The aim of this measure, according to the government and the Social Security, was to reduce healthcare spending by eliminating the reimbursement of treatments without scientific proof of effectiveness.
Prior to this decision, the health insurance system covered around 30% of the cost of homeopathic treatments, at a cost of approximately €126.8 million per year (in 2018). Since this coverage was discontinued, this amount has been saved each year by the French healthcare system, representing a reduction of 0.1% in total healthcare expenditure (given that healthcare expenditure in France amounts to around €200 billion).
This measure has made it possible to allocate these funds to other treatments and medical programmes that are more scientifically supported.

Let me share a surprising experience: I once developed corns on my foot, and when I consulted an allopathic doctor, she mentioned that they could only be removed through a minor procedure. However, she also suggested trying homeopathy first. I followed her advice, and to my amazement, after taking regular homeopathic medicine for about a month, the corns naturally came off on their own-like magic!

The government managed education system is the reason why Homeopathy thrives in India. Every year hundreds of thousands give a common medical entrance exam. They have 4 options - alopathy, dentistry, homeopathy and ayurveda. Students end up taking homeopathy simply because they got cut off from the limited seats in alopathy and dentistry. I know of a doctor who had not even heard or used homeopathy ever but still selected just coz he wanted to become a doctor and his marks were below the cut off for alopathy.

Homeopathy and Ayurveda are often regarded as pseudosciences, especially for treating conditions like fever or cold. It’s safer to avoid them, as they can lead to severe complications like pneumonia. This happened with my nephews-I advised my sister against using Homeopathy, but she didn’t listen. Both of them ended up hospitalized with severe pneumonia, and the medical costs were high. Now, whenever I mention Homeopathy, my sister just laughs.

@@lcmazza my chiropractor gave me home a passes. One of them was nux vomina, a plant that harms the liver but when turned into a homeopathic, tells the body what it needs to protect itself from, essentially.
I went to Texas for some computer training, I had some of the homeopathics in my bra, because I found that the affect would last better that way, and because I was concerned that they would take them from me, this being something on the line of more than 30 years ago. I was actually more concerned that they would leak.
The rest were in my purse, which went through the x-ray, whereas I went through the metal detector.
it took me a little over a week to realize why some of them were working and some of them weren't, and why that one in particular that I had two of, one in each place, would sometimes work and sometimes not.
It turns out that when they go through x-ray, it does whatever it is that makes them a homeopathic.
if it was a placebo issue, they would all work or none work. Placebo works in the brain, and they've actually found where it works, and that placebos will work even for people who know they're getting a placebo, which makes them safe effective medication, at least in short-term, which means that the problem is short-term, they are highly effective and safe, unless you are allergic to the substance being used, which I am, which is why I only use liquid homeopathics, because I'm allergic to lactose which is the sugar used in most of the pills.
if x-rays get rid of the effect of homeopathics, then that means that they aren't just placebo. Specifically the one of the mix vomica that was in my bra continue to work, and the one that was in my purse immediately stopped working.
and this isn't like I knew it was going to happen in advance or thought about it. It took me more than a week to put my head together about it, since I wasn't using them except when I was symptomatic. This wasn't a nocebo effect because I knew it wouldn't work in the first place. I was purely mystified for longer than I care to admit.
so if they stopped working when exposed to x-rays but not when they go through a metal detector, does that sound like a placebo to you?

In this video, in a very strange way, you DW, as a TV channel, do not provide any reference and limit yourselves to present the opinion of a couple of so called "Skeptics".
Why didn't you interview scientists linked to direct research in homeopathy? There are several in the world.

@indeed92 Natalie Grams is a very strange media people. According to her, she was a homeopath but suddenly gave it up. Coincidentally after that she was taken over as communication director of a German "skeptic" lobby group and had a book published on the Springer academy platform. This book I have read and it has very few references, in fact it has been criticized for cherry picking.

On the contrary Dr. Samuel Hahnemann was a practicing allopathic doctor who gave up allopathy.@@jesusaguilarandrade

I completely have faith in homeopathy. It has cured lots of critical ailments like hypothyroidism and cyst in uterus. It definitely takes time but cures from root. It's Strange DW questioning it's home medical process.

We understand that many people have positive personal experiences with homeopathy and find it beneficial. We respect the diverse experiences and beliefs people have when it comes to health treatments. It’s always important to have open discussions on these subjects.

Sorry I don't think the document was for discussion rather the interview shows that the person was making joke on Homeopathy. Where did you show any other interview supporting this medicine. I still believe it's a very poor documentary from DW. Unit.
