According to Aurora, 'home' was always her parents house and the 'soft place to fall' are her mother's arms!

She's my favourite artist because of her voice, artistry and most of all for her lyrics. She's a must see live artist, but her mv's are beautifull too. Try All is soft inside from KEXP to see an energetic an lively side of her, Queendom mv. for inclusiveness or Through the eyes of a child at Nidarosdomen for pure beauty ❤

Some facts about the Runaway Music Video:
It was shot late autumn 2014 and winter 2014/2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview).
The parts, where she wears the furry top are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house.
The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid, less than half a mile away from her parents house.
The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house in Drange.

Welcome to the world of the lyrical/musical genius Aurora. Her songs always have meaning open to interpretation, she is called "soul healer" for a reason. Nice reaction

Fun fact: the video was filmed in her parents garden, the woods nearby and a location a few miles away.
"I froze my butt off" she said 😂

She is just incredible artist with a ton of great songs and amazing live performances. Too be honest it is my favorite artist from the time I discovered her. And her lyrics are always meaningful, often poetic and open for interpretation even if she has her own concrete meaning. She described her meaning of the song f.e. in a genius video. By her meaning i mean meaning when she wrote it when she was 11 years old, even before she become an artist or even her parents now she is making music.
And she is Norwegian = English is not her first language and she has so great and poetic lyrics anyway.

You've struck gold with this one. Aurora is one magical being. And you got some skills interpreting lyrics. Aurora will give you a lot to chew on :) P.S.: You gotta check out her live stuff, that's when she excels.

Hi and thank you for this fien reaction. AURORA wrote the song when she was 11 years old. It was recorded in 2014 when she was about 18 years old. She became famous with this song.
Sorry, but it's going to be a bit longer comment. But I want to give you some information about AUROTA and also recommend some more songs.
AURORA is not entirely unknown. Her channel has over 5 million subscribers and the 78 videos on this channel have over 1.3 billion views.
Do you know the Disney movie Frozen 2? AURORA is the siren call in the song "Into the Unknown".
    -------------------
AURORA (Aurora Aksnes) was born on June 15, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is a singer, songwriter and producer with a style all her own.
AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back.
She is capable of transporting feelings because she allows a look into her soul. Her fans call themselves warriors and weirdos.
AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them
It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves
    - Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen) - ruclips.net/video/ncG9zTzsisE/видео.html - she sang in norway's biggest cathedral - phenomenal acoustics
    - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - ruclips.net/video/vh0SWTVwXxw/видео.html - the saddest love song I've ever heard
    - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - ruclips.net/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/видео.html - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies
    - Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen) - ruclips.net/video/AmTiqR2_VAw/видео.html - the song is her way of suicide prevention
    - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - ruclips.net/video/_Mc_OM5oNA8/видео.html - it's about the climat change, AURORAS “Earth Song”
I usually prefer her live performances. But in some cases the VEVO video is more impressive. I hope you enjoy AURORA.
    ---------------------
I can also recommend 2 very different songs:
Would you like to hear a completely different AURORA? Then check out these songs. AURORA songs are somehow always different from the others, but I think these two are special.
You wouldn't expect anything like that from AURORA. At least I think so.
    - Apple Tree - ruclips.net/video/AvPzwKQKZTc/видео.html
--> "Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. The world won't listen to scientific proof that the world is dying, so maybe it will listen to the dreamers, the children. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope. Let her save the world. Let him save them all. Believe in us, and maybe we'll be the generation that saves the world, rather than the one that killed it."

Nice reaction to my favourite artist 🤗
Aurora wrote this song when she was 11 years old, at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, but as she grew older she knew that home meant home to her parents💕
It’s one of her most important songs and one of few songs that are about herself 👍
This song and music video was what inspired Billie Eilish to become an artist, Billie has said it in several interviews. When Aurora recently won a music award Billie sent her a video message gratulating and thanking her💕
She is quite popular, this video has about 530 million views 👍
Billie love her, Katy Perry love her, and other artists.
She’s a featuring artist on for example Chemical Brothers “Eve of destruction”, she’s also one of the songwriters😊
Right now she’s touring in South America, she’s been touring all over the world for about a year now👍
My favourite version of this song is live at the Nobel peace prize concert 2015😍😍
Another important song for her is
“Through the eyes of a child”
I prefer the live performance at Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017🥰

I really enjoyed this video and your views and interpretations. It's fun to see people actually trying to make sense of the lyrics and not just react to the instrumentals and voice quality. Also I feel like if you like this you might also like Susanne Sundfør, she has a similar voice and style to this. Her song Silicone veil is so so gorgeous, and has really solid lyrics too.

Nice reaction. It's true that her lyrics are an important part of her art, they have a real meaning🙂, and can often be interpreted on different levels🙃. You know, her voice is even better live, her whole presence on stage, on all levels. You should check out for yourself these two live versions:

Good reference - Running away from problems and situations wanting to go back home. Indeed she did face the harsh reality of life, losing people. For me I thought "take me home" meant going back to being a little kid again. I mean weren't we all happy at least when we were kids? How simple life was back them.

Yes her lyrics are deep but she rarely explains them, you are supposed to interpret them in your own way.
Stick to her live performances, she constantly reinterprets them and sings "in the moment".
Try "Murder Song (54321)" from the Nobel Piece Prize Concert, or the other two from Nobel. When you are ready, the Nidarosdomen Concert is a Masterpiece but brace yourself, it can be intense in parts.

Interesting that you should mention demons. Aurora's debut album is named All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend! AMDGMAAF as it is often referred to. Great reaction and analysis, but your sound setup is picking up 50Hz (60Hz if you are in the Americas) hum from somewhere.
