Replace all you strikes with flying knees, and all defends with charge batteries, but you only start with 1 energy.

Love this idea!
Removals would immediately become WAY worse because you'd basically die if you don't draw a flying knee or charge battery on turn 1 every fight. Also, all energy-producing cards would be far more powerful, stuff like Seeing Red, Offering, Adrenaline, TURBO, upgraded Recycle, etc.
Throw in an unceasing top, and you have the grounds for a really funny run
Your first turn each fight would be terribad, not sure you make it out of Act 1 alive. Once you have an energy relic it should get easier, though.

I was just about to comment the same thing, the Black Star runs are cool, and like you know you don't need to stop doing them, but it would be nice to have a few that aren't black star gimmick, so that we could see a little bit of an actual challenge

Anyone else notice how the animation gets bigger the more damage it does? Size changes a very small amount so it's easy to miss but it does.

I didn't know black star stacked with black star until now, neat! I suppose it makes sense, seeing as you are not supposed to be able to get more then one, there would be nothing to prevent them from stacking.
Secondarily, at this rate, it's only a matter of time until the Ironclad slays the spire via immolation, his searing blow enveloping the entire spire in a brilliant flame!

TBH I think the Black Star actually hurts my enjoyment of these runs. It was funny the first time but now it just makes you scale too fast and sullies the beautiful relic row which could contain just the one relic.

For this video the black star thing was really good since things went haha funny scale but for some runs it's just a multiplicative scaler. It's still a fun time but runs like the damaru one could be made more interesting if it wasn't "I beat 3 elites and now have divinity every turn out of act 1 lol"

The availability of black star makes the run utterly a slog to watch. It basically makes the whole video for me at least: watch the first floor - - > too strong, background content. Not just this the challenge the other day with the mantra drum and 8 brilliance was also the same. Way too overkill and not fun to watch.
