I watch your channel because you keep it real. Real ideas, real savings and real life. You are adorable and uplifting! Just when I have the thought of I'm the only one struggling you post a new video that makes me smile. I am a single parent living on a farm, my best advice on getting ready on time is to have everything prepared the night before as much as possible. From measuring out the farm animals feed to what the next days outfits for everyone. And I totally agree that if you have things that need accomplished Do it Before noon. Thank you! And God bless

I agree about prepping the night before for the next day. That helps me a lot. Ex. Coffee made, next days lunch prepared, clothes picked out, car gassed up, water bottle frozen (1/2 filled w water), etc.

I love your policy of good enough is good enough. So the floors are not clean one day. So the laundry is not put away one day. As a very busy working mom. When I don’t fret about any of this but spend an extra 5 mins in the morning with my son before work and daycare, it makes my day so joyful and happy. I am sure it means a lot to him too. Love you. Your regular video watcher.

Kathryn, I’ve been a subscriber for quite some time now. I watched you lose your brother and my hurt ached for you and still does. I had no idea I would go on to lose my own brother to suicide last year. Some days I can “do all the things” and others when reality hits, i feel like I’m drowning!! You’re such an inspiration for so many reasons. I loved this video. When I watch you try your hardest to overcome and adapt it’s a nice push to me to keep going and I can do it too. I needed this today. Thank you. ❤️❤️

I completely agree with you about sharing what we're facing in our lives. As a Christian, I believe that it's imperative to be completely transparent about our struggles when sharing and witnessing. Too many people are all about perpetrating the lie that "everything's perfect". That can be an exhausting lie to try to chase down, and it certainly doesn't help others we encounter that need to see that we're as fallible and broken as they are, if not even more so. I suffer from depression and anxiety, along with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I am so grateful that you are an honest woman who chooses to build up others while tearing down the Wall of Perfection. God bless you! I am sure that I'm not the only one who has been encouraged by your sweet servant's heart.

Kathryn, you are pure sunshine! I love your honesty- it’s so much easier to pretend all is well when we are a wreck inside! I’m a caretaker of 2 family members, still have kids at home and work- some days are plain HARD! God has brought me through deep valleys and he has given me hope.
You also give me hope- you are beautiful inside & out. It’s very helpful to see how you “do life”. You have great practical tips .... like scheduling everything before noon- that is so true- everything is more likely to happen if it’s scheduled!
And Owen!!! He couldn’t be any cuter! He is so adorable... and messy haha 😂💕

Thank you so much for sharing all the things you share with us. I've been watching your videos since Carson was so little, and I feel like an aunt to your kids or like you are part of my family, love your family. Is awesome your transparency, good heart and how you manage to deal with everyday life stuff and share with us. May God bless you and give you the peace you need and fill your heart with lots of joy, you're such a beautiful person inside and out. And I promise I feel you, I loss my half-sister (father side) to suicide exactly 3 years ago Sept. 23rd 2015 and I sometimes feel deep down depressed, but with the help of God and my support system (pastor, husband, child, sisters from church, etc) those bad days go away really fast. Take care of you girl, we understand and we are not going anywhere. Lots of love !

Courtney Roberts I hear u completely .... same thing here... I posted earlier....
It is so hard to feel the way we do.... we can only do what we can, but at least we are aware of what we deal with, and have a desire to improve, so this definitely counts for something!
Some days, I put in music and just do a bunch of stuff.... this is rare lately, but it definitely is a huge help! I also have a ton of bad habits, so that doesn’t help....can’t break free right now.

I deal with anxiety too. I read the book Gratitude Diaries by Janice Kaplan and part of her research showed that when you take time to say what your grateful for each day it helps to calm you. I had a scare with my pregnancy one day at the Dr's office and so I started focusing on what I was grateful for and man did it calm me down. I was so "grateful" but also received that everything worked out just fine. Hang in there and be good to yourself.

Kathryn-Thanks so very much for sharing your heart and your struggles. I love you for that!! You are among many thousands who also suffer from anxiety and PTSD, and your honesty and willingness to be open about it is such a huge blessing! "Monsters live in the dark!" I love this quote simply because it highlights how things can become so huge and overwhelming when we don't shed light on them-or discuss them openly. I, too, battle anxiety and some PTSD. I think sharing these struggles, while also trying to stay focused on the good and the positive, become the key to inner peace and wellness. Please do continue share! Thank you for always being real. I do everything I can for a certain amount of time.. It is a way for me to challenge myself, and it gives me some sense of control. Usually between 1-2 o’clock I start “fading”,. I have come to see that it is okay to say I have done the best I could. I injured my back and I have given myself permission to say I am done. I am no longer super woman (never was), and good enough is good enough. Hope you all are safe and sound.

Sorry to hear about your struggles with anxiety and PTSD. I wonder if it has to do with the trauma of losing your brother. My son was recently in a facility for major depression and PTSD (seems to be doing ok now 🙏). I learned that when you’ve experienced a trauma that it stays in your body and will come out somehow.......whether a physical manifestation or some unhealthy way (i.e. drugs, alcohol, other addictions, etc). That’s why therapy and support systems are so important. I know you have a support system here, but Katherine, please take time for yourself when you need it. Your viewers love you and we will still be here waiting on your awesome videos. Take care of you! ❤️

But, your belief in God helps me even more. God bless you and thank you.

    4am-5am I work out
    5am-6am I get myself ready
6am-7am I make sure I'm getting my 13, 11 and 2 year old up and ready. They haven't really mastered straightening and curling their hair that great haha
7am-7:50 I cook breakfast and make sure lunch boxes are packed
7:50 we leave the house to get the middle schoolers to school and me and my 2 year old to work (I work at a daycare/preschool) at 8:30

@@created2worshipGOD I'm off work at 5:30. My 2 middle schoolers get home at 4:00. I tell them to help me with at least 2 chores if they don't have homework instead of just laying on the couch. So one will wash dishes from breakfast and the other one put the washed dishes from dinner away. I also ask to make sure the counter is clean because once I'm off at 5:30 I get home and immediately cook dinner. Once we are all done eating I have one help me wipe the table and chair, the other sweep any crums and wipe the stove and counter while me and my husband wash the dishes and all while the 2 year old is playing till we are done lol so nice to be 2! After thats done the older 2 can go shower or pick up their rooms or hangout till bed time. Same with the 2 year old and my husband. A shower, bath, story time or hanging out till bed time. At 8pm I make my 13 and 11 year old turn in their phones. Then they go to bed at 8:30. My 2 year old goes to bed at 8:00. Dad takes her up while I'm collecting electronics haha

I watch your channel because the tips are quick & easy. I work full time & since my dad died two years ago, I drive Miss Daisy on the weekends. No time for myself & I think I’m suffering PTSD from my Dad’s death. He was gravely ill so at least he’s out of pain, but you know how it is, once a loved one is gone, so is a piece of your heart. So while I know everyone is struggling with something in their lives, at least by watching & commenting, becoming “friends” in the RUclips community we know we are not alone. A hand up comes in a comment, or a like from the RUclipsr or even in the content that you’re not aware of. Keep on doing what you doing Catherine, you make so many of our days! ❤️

Desire Love oh, girl! You’re amazing! Thank God, we only live 5-7 minutes from my son’s middle school... these days I am driving him, and it fits in with our routine....
As to school start times, our town is really trying to figure out better ones, because the HS is a huge problem. I believe classes start at 7:20!😱
We have 1 HS, and it is across town, about 15-20 away from where we live. Our neighbors are getting to the bus stop and waiting from such an early time... not totally sure, but I think it is way before 7...
Too much for them.... they need more sleep! Hoping this will change by next year, when my son starts... 🙏🏻

9am is awesome! My son starts at 8:05... not horrible, but our town is finally starting to notice that things need to change a bit.... so many demands are out on our kids today, so the later the better....
The kids and parents fall into a routine, of course, but we need to take some of that pressure off... the kids need to have time to breathe. They are a heck of a lot more resilient than us, however! 🤣

I once read a story that said "we don't need normal, we need whatever works". It really stuck with me. Whenever I'm going through bad times or my depression is kicking my butt, I have some weird ways of getting even the bare minimum done, and sometimes my brain likes to remind me that normal people don't have to do it like that. In which case I repeat that sentence until it shuts up. Hope it helps some of y'all too.

Heyitslarib, You know, a lot of people want you to be "normal" because it helps them deal with their own insecurities of not even being able to be creative or attack life with a wonderfully unique perspective. Some PPL like to see everybody the same so they don't feel insufficient. I, personally, love your comment. You sound like a rockstar. Be the rock star that you are. No apologies

I always look forward to your videos, as they never fail to make me smile. My house looks soooooo much nice and is more organized thanks to your channel. I also struggle with anxiety and it can be a real productivity killer. Two things have helped me stay (somewhat) organized in the mornings: prepping the night before and having a routine. I'm not a morning person, but I have to get up early for work and to get my child ready for school. My work bag and lunch are packed, clothes out for the next day, pretty much everything I can prep I do. Having a routine helps both with the anxiety and an independent preschooler. Fewer tantrums and panic attacks or forgotten items.
